56:55 he says its ironically much less than doing a brutal mutation, however retry brutal+ is only 100% bonus while brutal+ 6 is 300%. I don't know what the bonus is for a brutal mutation, however its looks like they're rewarding you more for doing brutal+ 6 first try rather than strategizing for the retry brutal+. I know the comment is late as hell but I've only just saw this today.

Lot of fun to watch, and you seemed to enjoy yourself a lot as well :D All these mutators pile up though, and become sooo crazy, honestly scaring (and scarring) (T_T) you did so well to manage all that ^^ The fact i came back to watch this video again a year and a half after is proof enough of how enjoyable it is :)
Hey Lowko, it's always important to clean up the void rifts as soon as possible so the defense pressure will be much smaller. As Swan, finish the upgrades in BE helps a lot (you've notice that!) Another priority is the drill upgrade, you can use upgraded factory(which is really tanky) for vision and clean the rifts with your drill.
The microtransaction one really screwed me over. I couldn't get myself to not micro and lost way too many resources. It basically said fight a habit that you have had 0 reason to fight until now.
I was once playing brutal plus as Nova. Got micro-transactions. I gave up on the idea I'd ever have enough resources for troops so I soloed it with Nova. Fun times

I guess you're right on Swann shooting something since he was 7, but I think it is stimpacks, not stereoids. the 35% and 9% body fat is a normal side effect.
The amount of effort and luck required for this new difficulty, that is no where NEAR the amount of EXP that you should get. Half of it came from boosts. It should be like 1mil exp with boosts.
The main difficulty of the Brutal+ levels isn't just in the difficulty of the enemy it is facing random mutators without having a plan ahead of time. "The enjoy losing a lot" bit becomes more true if you play their game instead of rerolling. Awesome gameplay and obviously still very difficult.
Ive said this before, why cant they add more enemies and "smarter" and/or more frequent waves on Brutal, call it brutal 2.0.. Idk lol. I like it more difficult but several Mutations, nah :(
In the past, they did try to make enemies smarter - things like making enemies focus down carriers rather than the interceptors, and that got a huge backlash. (Part of why this specific change caused backlash was that, at the time, Fenix conservators were horrible, which forced him to use mass carriers; at the time, you also had to pay for interceptors, and the Clolarion bonus also wasn't that great; this made Fenix almost completely unviable.) The major co-op balance change before Mengsk actually buffed up the enemy by introducing more compositions and tighter upgrade timings. What people are seeing is that the Brutal+ point system really has nothing to do with how hard the mission actually is. (Number of mutators has a more pronounced effect on overall difficulty than the difficulty of each mutator; the only two-mutator Brutal+6 mission is considered to be very doable due to a lack of mutator synergy. There's also the issue of the fact that mutator point values may need tweaking, and the fact that 8 points on Brutal+1 is a huge gap from no points on plain old Brutal.)
@@Nukepositive There are mutators that increase the tankiness of enemies, but even then co-op prioritizes burst damage, AOE, and free units, depending on situation, so it can be said that making enemies that much tankier doesn't really neutralize the wave-clearing and deathball capabilities of some commanders. (It may make Alarak do more 1QE2C, but it really doesn't eliminate the ability for a bunch of ascendants to wipe the enemy clean.) That said, if you are in the co-op community, then you are probably aware of who Maguro is, and why almost every co-op balance change and bug fix in recent years is attributed to him; the enthralled zerg used in Mengsk's Dogs of War calldown is, according to lore, from the Maguro Brood, named after him. In his custom arcade map, he implemented a new co-op mutator called Endurance, which triples all enemy health and shields. It is said that the commander dynamics are very different with this mutator active.

Void Reanimators are the lowest priority targets for your army because they don't deal damage, so always manually select them as targets to kill them first, laser is good for that while your turrets deal with enemy units!
Is reduced cost for vespene drones really all that good? They aren't that hard to get in the first place, but the reduced time on the drill lets you max it out a lot sooner.
i like watching gameplay like this cause me personally I cant even do anything above hard in co-op in campaign I can do some missions on brutal but not all of them yet but I will never be able to do that like you guys did. I couldn't even follow what you were doing when you were macroing like 100 things at once lol I see you just sending units everywhere and was like but he didn't click on anything lol
Must've been a bug for one of us, but I set my scvs to a patrol in the launch mission with the microtransaction mutator, it cost me mins to set the patrol path but not any later.

This one is custom but hard as nails, play it only on the dead of night, and it will be hard for your computer and you. 1.void reanimator. 2. Void shards (or the ones the spawn the units) 3. Enemy units after dying spawn more enemies. 4. Enemy units after dying spawn other new enemies. Want it harder? Put the one that when touches any of your units or buildings, creates a copy of itself. Enjoy Hardest difficulty you can. P.S. careful with the lag machine
It should not take this long. Void rifts should be destroyed as soon as possible after they appear in the map. Swann and Artanis are super good for this: use Swann's Hercules' tactic jump for place without vision, then use Artanis' orbital strike + Swann's laser to destroy the void rifts. Also, void rifts appear in certain time slots which you can memorize and get prepared. I would say most of people, even pros could not win without a few tries. They have done brutal+6 as well. My impression is that they have spent a lot of time researching and studying the patterns. It's not your PC...it's the game. I have a rig that could in theory run several instances of SC2 at once...The game simply only utilizes 2 cores, so it doesn't matter if you have a 16 core power house...the 2 cores will forever remain the bottle neck...very annoying. Whoever thought that engine was a good idea?! If you want to convince yourself, play the spawning pool HOTS campaign mission (Mission 3 I think? Against Zagara, getting 100 eggs...that one ALWAYS stutters at the end).
maybe it could work out if you reduce graphics to lowest? There is stuff you can reduce further, but it's done in the game files, not in the game options. I'm sure there are tutorials on that. Well it's gonna look like bad, but it could at least play smoothly
Whoh, man, that last game... Congratulations on the win, but I don't know why you left the scorch upgrade for the end, and you didn't even use the lance on those last two thrashers once you had it! Zeratul would be better for the defense here, he has expendable projections so you would lose a lot less + perhaps some Void Templar against some Heroes, they have insane DPS, but are pretty much underestimated by a lot of people! However, probably the best defender here would be Abathur, because enemy was ground, so if you clamp up several toxic nests, set them off autocast and detonate them right under Heroes when they pass; they should deal with most of them, anything that survives can be dealt with using Brutalisks & Disabling Clouds. Also Swarm Hosts can be very useful for defending, so CtG wouldn't even need to help defending & you would be able to Deeptunnel Brutalisks to help with objectives. Furthermore, if you successfully spawn-camp enemy attack waves, Heroes probably wouldn't even spawn; on this map it's relatively easy to do for the enemies that spawn on the top-left side.
What is if you restart till you get Propagators and mindcontroll it with the avatar of Zeratul (is this bug fixed?)? I know it isn´t really a challenge but it is easy possible.
when you play karax this of the probe as your hero and crank out the def. buildings. when he bombs an area get in and cannon crawl that map. I even name the probe; probius. bring three or four with and just play keep the drone alive.
I believe that because you can't do a "Retry Brutal+" after you have cleared it, and thus, as a placeholder, it goes back to +100%, which is for a normal brutal mission. If you go back to the time before he switched from Swann to Karax, you do see the correct +300%.
I think the enemie Wave go where they think there the less amont of DEF So if you got like 3 canon top and nothing mid they will go to the mid insteed tho if you got no def bot they probably won't go bot onless something weird hapend.

Also Swarm Hosts can be very useful for defending, so CtG wouldn't even need to help defending & you would be able to Deeptunnel Brutalisks to help with objectives. Furthermore, if you successfully spawn-camp enemy attack waves, Heroes probably wouldn't even spawn; on this map it's relatively easy to do for the enemies that spawn on the top-left side.

when you play karax this of the probe as your hero and crank out the def. buildings. when he bombs an area get in and cannon crawl that map. I even name the probe; probius. bring three or four with and just play keep the drone alive.
Retry was listed as +100% xp at the end.... you only get 300% if you first time it?
I believe that because you can't do a "Retry Brutal+" after you have cleared it, and thus, as a placeholder, it goes back to +100%, which is for a normal brutal mission. If you go back to the time before he switched from Swann to Karax, you do see the correct +300%.

So if you got like 3 canon top and nothing mid they will go to the mid insteed tho if you got no def bot they probably won't go bot onless something weird hapend.
