Thanks for uploading. I waited fifty-two years to see this complete show that I missed in reality, because I arrived too late at the BBC theater for the taping, and couldn’t get in..There is a shorter version uploaded to RUclips, without Bobby singing "If I Were A Carpenter", and only coming in on the duet with Nancy Wilson on "Blowing In The Wind". In those trusting days, the limo driver allowed me, a college sophomore, to sit in what turned out to be Nancy’s limo, on a cold winter’s night, so that I could have an autograph when one or the other emerged, after the show. Nancy sings from her heart. Look at facial expressions, especially her eyes, while she sings “The Greatest Performance of My Life”. There, the songbird is into her second year of being alone, following the end of her ten-year marriage to drummer Kenny Dennis.
It is rather odd, but there was a Goodies clip in every episode, apparently. Some were taken from their TV series, and others were new sequences especially for the series.
Bobby....would be dead only 20 months from this performance....his death a tragedy like all great artists that die young. he really hadnt reached his potential but still is among the all-time greats....and is in the short group of performers that come right behind Sinatra....the Bennett's the Nat Coles...Sammy Davis...etc
@@jadezee6316 That is right, only 20 month before. Maybe you would like our “Happy Birthday Bobby! Bobby's last Las Vegas show, August 5th, 1973. Rare” upload. Only 4 month and 15 days before his passing.
the underappreciated Nancy Wilson showing her jazz chops...and in grand style too!!

@@ConnieMcNeely Thank you! It’s our pleasure.
Thanks for sharing… yes definitely German.
I’ve always loved Englebert as well as Bobby, so a real treat.
Yes, it was a co-production between Britain and Germany, with two versions of each piece of dialogue recorded.
What an amazing find! Thank you for uploading and sharing this rarity!
@@TheMattForbes you are so welcome. Happy you enjoyed.
