Those are always big ones. Danny would always stay in the same hotel chains. He was signed up with their rewards program and got free rooms every so many nights. It definitely helped. Safe travels. 😊

Traveling shorter and sitting longer is great! So are Cracker Barrels, HH & BW!! Stocking up at Walmart is what we have noticed helps & buying generic bands for some things.
We are buying more generic brands than we ever have. Groceries are ridiculous. We all have to save where we can. Hope you had a great day. Safe travels. 😊

As far as not shopping in "little bitty towns", not all are the same. Our small town of 3000 has a family owned grocery/butcher shop that has THE best meat prices. The chain grocery store is lower- priced for most canned, boxed or paper goods, but our little bitty family-owned butcher shop in town is the place for meats. So ask locals where THEY shop. You may stumble on a gem of a tiny store.
We actually never buy our meat at the big chain stores. I did not think of putting that in here, but we should have. The area where we're in did not have a second choice.it was a tourist town. So those are more the type areas that we're talking about. This was a great comment. Thanks so much. Save travels.

Awesome thumbnail!! Great video with fantastic tips!! We laughed when you mentioned the gas nilage since we have the same rig we understood very well. We try to save money in all the same ways you do. Our longest trip all at once has been 19 days straight and we love harvest host but as we get to longer trips and more full time we will for sure add boondockers welcome and some other boondocking. I do stock up at Costco before I leave and also avoid those small stores in smaller towns. Oh that video of the person at the gas station was scary!! Miss u guys love your tips and always love your videos!
The milage in our rigs really does stink. Nothing really helps. We actually like Boondockers Welcome better than we do harvest hoast. It's less expensive to stay up, and we get hookups usually. 19 days is a good while. You are going to live being retired. You will never want to go home. Lol. We save money every way we can. We miss you guys too. ❤️. Safe travels. 😊
I love using my Instant Pot! I don't like leaving the Crock-Pot plugged in when I'm not there b/c the dog might knock it over 🙄
I totally get that. I had an instant pot and really never used it. I guess I'm too used to the crackpot. Safe travels, but not too far. We want you around for a while. 😉

We have heard that, but have never tried them. Danny's hip is doing fabulous. Safe travels.
Harvest Host now suggests a $30 purchase or donation. We dropped our HH membership because we found that with a lifetime senior pass it’s less expensive to stay at COE campgrounds that always have water and electric included. Campgrounds are always clean and safe and well managed. We trip route to stay at as many COE campgrounds as possible. No annual fee with a lifetime senior pass.
We I cook at home I always freeze leftovers or cook for more than one meal. When we load up the RV for a trip, I just take along those frozen meals and heat in the microwave or oven. That allows to eat for very little cost and the food is what we know we’ll like.
I didn't know they had raised it. We really like Boondockers. Welcome better than harvest host. If we pay anything, it's 5 or 10 a night. Danny will be able to get the life pass in April. We think it will open a huge amount of savings for us. We can't wait. We definitely plan to make use of those once we can. I'll admit I'm not good at freezing meals. I do some. It is something I really need to work on.

Love GasBuddy. Use it all the time. It does work on the road especially out west. West is the most expensive gas. I always buy groceries outside the small towns.

Oh man that video clip of that guy taking out the gas station. Dang! Yes even us in a car we search for cheapest gas too. We use the App for Pilot/Flying J which offers 10 cents a lot! WaWa has deals too for gas. We are very frugal travelers too! You have to be to stretch your trips out longer. We travel with a BBQ Grill too. Also another thing we do to eat healthier and save money is to get salad mix at a grocery store and a few fresh veggies. Nice salad for all three of us for under $10 most of the time. Loved Harvest Host. So far, we used them 7 stays during travel days and got 4 more planned in May for the trip out to the Badlands.

I said it before free is our free is my favourite price. We too are on a budget so mostly eat in the van but also the odd treat like a takeaway Fish Supper or other takeaway but not fast food LOL

Are there other RV America's? I see you have a merch shop. Do you all sell much merch? OMG 2:28. Cicle K has great gas deals currently! We try to bring food with us when we travel to help on cost!

Get a credit card with a rebate for fuel. Sams (5%), Costco (4%), Citi Double Cash, (2% on all purchases) etc. You normally have to go to a which makes the charge as a fuel charge. As an FYI. most rebate CC do not give the fuel rebate at Buckee's since they list all purchases as regular purchases. You can make bigger savings by using fuel station reward/discounts with the rebates with a fuel rebate CC.
