I always rent a lorry & super b trailers to record all of my autodrive paths at once. Then i know all my vehicles can cope with the course with proper turning radius and trigger points :) great video!
Well done video and it provides a perfect introduction into AutoDrive for those of us who never got this far in previous Farming Simulator games for having an automated play style. Definitely going to be a game changer with these two mods.
Hey, thanks for your video! Just a quick tip: for silos or other waypoints with triggers, you need to think about longer vehicles and trailers. Make sure your waypoint is further away from the trigger than in your video, otherwise the tractor might stop at the waypoint and won't move over the trigger to load or unload. 😉

Very helpful vid, looking through this for the 2nd time to help me a bit with the struggling of ding this in practice. But something came in my mind the first time i watched this and now again, you are the Bob Ross of autodrive, teaching us how to create happy little courses, i want to thank yo for that.

You have to put few hours in it for testing how it suits you the best, but once you get a hold of it you will have great time with it. I had a problem with CP when I first tried to use it all those years ago when it came out but now I know how to set it up quickly in my sleep. Same goes for AD and it's learning curve is not that steep. It takes some time to trial and error but it helps a lot.
@@ra2186 It allows you to target one or more vehicles to track you perfectly. I use it for moving multiple vehicles around the map as well as sincing two or more implements in sequence.
So far I have done 3 Fields with train tracks, I set up different wait stations on a side track like a real train station in real life for loaders and 5 more waypoints on other points for hauling over all the equipment to work on that field, and it works like a charm, on my farm I split up like 3 Home points to drive all the material back and move it aside for the others and reconnect the track on the main loop.
I remember that in the early days of Courseplay, either FS 15 or 17, I used to call it see a tree hit a tree. The amount of babysitting it needed was a real pain.
Glad to see Autodrive back , i also use it along side Courseplay too but with the new Ai with fs 25 i think Autodrive takes priority for me personally. With some maps now having traffic lights and the game AI stopping at them and people crossing on the crossings i hope the autodrive team can implement that into Autodrive. Would be so great when driving on a map with traffic lights along your course and vehicles stop on red and go on green :) .
Thanks for the overview of this, FSG. I think I saw someone else mention this? I’ve always used CP + AD when it comes to unloading combines. CP seems a lot more capable in field where there is no course set. My only complaint about today’s CP/AD is in the past I could drive the combine and have CP chase me to unload. But since 19 that doesn’t work anymore, thus CP always has to drive the combine as well. Guess that gives me more time to shop tractors 🤓
I just did a wood contract with Autodrive from the pick-up point to the carpenter store, you have to manually sell the wood but the pick-up is automated and the drive was so smooth, I also use the wood trailer mod one for 3k each. I use 2 of them to make it more complicated, so with 29 logs you can do it in two loops with 11 logs you can do it in one loop.

I usually wait for AD and CP to iron out their teething problems before i buy the latest FS. But having seen your vids on CP and AD i reckon are far more advanced than they were at the FS 22 launch. Great vid BTW mate. Happy New Year!
Already done with the base-game maps. Playing on New Frontier until a decent 4x PC only map comes out. At least I have one mod map I can modify and make my own until something decent comes out.
If you really want to see the path it creates while working actively on the field, go to the "gear" on Autodrive, click on the icon that looks like "glasses", tick the "Pathfinder" block and click "OK" to save. Now when it calculates a route on the field, you can see it.
When you do a full tutorial, I'd like to see a layout where you have truck parked at the field and have an auger cart that is tending the combine and empties at the truck. It's only a matter of time before I start using a mod map that actually has some "real" field sizes with some acreage.
I found with AD in 22 that the avoid fruits got better the more you run the same course. It's a bit like the Giants AI., the more you run it, the better it gets.

The one thing I'm curious about is the Triple Hopper Semi Trailer. I haven't been able to get AD to figure out how to load all three section's hoppers with the same grain type and then unload all three sections at an unloading point.

Great video. Using youre video as a reference, the trailer wasnt completely full when it started the silo route. If you had a truck and the harvester wont fill it more then like 30% will it drive off and unload it like youre tractor did
Nice to have but not convinced it’s needed. I’ve been happy with the in game default AI in the fields, going to, and delivering stuff. I appreciate the option though.
Question for you im hoping youll know when creating a course and you go off course a bit in fs22 if you clicked the right mouse button you could move the node but in fs25 i right click the curser disappears how do you move the nodes
They are part of the mod use delete to bring up the courseplay menu or alt and 0 on your numpad for Autodrive, but of course you can change these in the keybinds 👍
Great Video! Now, me being completely new to the Farm sim game... I have some question... Does each vehicle have to be set up for the auto drive? so lets say I have 2 trailers, waiting on a field to finish harvesting,, each different vehicle needs to be set up for the auto drive? I think I understand that Course play is also a needed addition for it to all work together? oh, and bugs and issues once are "fixed" do they update automatically, or do you have to go check each time and download latest version?
What i hope the two teams, "CP" and "AD" can mange to do, is incorporate the game's "AI". Like CP already got the "Use game-routes" for "delivering", that of course newer works since there newer is a route from THIS field(Zielonka is hopeless!), then you use AD to record a route from the area you are at to nearest "game route" (not that there is any but you know what i mean i think). FS25 is my first farm sim game and I am loving it. In game, if you use AI to deliver and sell, there is a hit to revenue. Does that same hit happen if you create a course (from your farm to the Grain Silo for example) and use autodrive to delivery and sell. Does the base game still see it as an AI doing the work and not give you the same revenue?
Yes, just make sure that you have the same target selected in the combine as your tractor, then drive the combine yourself. Just pop the auger out to call the tractor 👍
To stop them from running over crops make a 2 way ring around the outside of the field that way it will follow that line instead of creating its own way
haven't had time to test it out, but i saw in your video when you went in edit mode there was no lines already on roads. Does autodrive anymore regonises ai traffic routes?
It does, it pops up as an option when you load the man, I always say no. As they mostly cause more hassle due to lots of breaks so I create my own or use a properly designed one
I need a video for AD and feeding my chickens, so far I have done everything right BUT loading the trailer will drive a little forward and start unloading it? Or do I want to much of it
Okay I guess the auto drive is just for a PC and not a console. I have seen no mod for console yet but it looks cool. We might be able to send a Ai helper to its destination but I’m not sure on that. I think Mr Sealy P showed how a AI worker can do the same thing as long as you add a point of location for it to go but I like the auto drive better. I wish it came on console

Can auto drive do the carting for me as it does for a course play controlled harvester? 🤔 That would be fantastic! Same with forage harvesters. The follow me mod was a help but not great as this would be if it worked. 😎🚜 👍
Yes 100% it can do that, just set your target in Autodrive to be the same as your tractor that’s running on Courseplay and every time you put your auger pipe out he should come and find you 👍
Amazing video and the Mods are so good! I downloaded the Auto drive mod and copied the file to my mods directory but it just will not show in game for me in the mods section i have downloaded it from the official source and literally just moved the file so i dont understand why it dont show all other mods i have work?
Just curious how this is better than the AI that already exists in game? I do load and deliver looping jobs all the time and never have any issues, and I don't have to set anything up. You can also set destination for vehicles and AI will drive them there without a job associated to it.
You can’t really compare the two, this will run a trai look er alongside a combine and auto unload it, deliver to multiple locations, feed your cows silage in their shed to name just a few. The in game AI is much improved in FS25 but if you want to take it to the next level Courseplay and Autodrive are fantastic
The avoid crop is only if it can do damage to the crop as u could see the tractor did no damage so it didn't care. But if u had a crop that would damage then it won't drive thru Also u have to have crop destruction on in main settings
But looking at that almost the courseplay combine unload was better so I'm wondering if u set to the u load load point then when at that point can go to the courseplay one like u can In Fs22 with set autodrive that went into a courseplay one
@@TheFarmSimGuy so did the test as the unloading it wasn't too bad some reason the ai kept saying not enough space for unload with autodrive on the outside 2 headlands with the pea harvester then it kept ramming the back of it when it came up. The pipe offset didn't seem to work on autodrive. But it does on courseplay after that error goes they are about the same. And love the new autodrive now puts in every road and the intersections. As well as the two ways down the small roads by the fields really great addition from fs22. Even does most sell points just have to add ur parts in here and there very minimal
I don’t understand very well do I have to use cp for ad to work because I want to drive the combine and have a tractor running back to the barn tipping up and unloading me again
Hey, i was just wondering - when you delivered your first batch of wheat at the grain drop off, did you not earn any money for that? I don't think I saw the money go up, but I could have just had a brain fart 😅
I was doing this all wrong and now I have bad driving paths all over. Is there a way to delete everything and start all routes from scratch? Basically make it so CP and AD think it was just freshly installed? I tried deactivating the mod and reactivating but it remembers.
There’s still no easy way to delete courses, you can remove a node at a time for small changes but best thing to do is delete the Autodrive.xml config from the save game folder. In terms of finding courses, I’m not sure what you mean, you should only have one course on your map with different target points to send your vehicles too, these are selected from your dropdown menu as shown in the video. You still have to create everything first though
@@TheFarmSimGuy i ment, i see you use a tractor on ur line, but what if i wanna add one whos been doing other stuff. how can i add the tractor/truck back to the line, coz for me it doesnt seems to function, i have the same issue with the wait point, i made it like urs put all the options like urs but to me it says cant find a path when hes done offloading from the combine it just stays there in the field recalculating as if the field is to large for him to find back the path , than when i do it manualy and turn back on autodrive the tractor simply doesnt perfroms its task. like hes forgotten what to do. and i cant seem to get it to function again. so far deleting the whole line and putting down an other did work untiull he got lost again after the first unload of the combine. srry for the bad english
"With traffic in 25 being better behaved..." I think we're playing different games, mate. The traffic in FS22 was bumbling fools, but the traffic in FS25 is nothing but kamikaze psychos. No way would I have traffic on if I was using this lol
I have to agree with George. The traffic in 25 seems incredibly hostile compared to past versions. And to add to there arsenal of road warrior tricks, then can now overtake us in 25! 😂 Not to mention they still have a concrete frame to ensure we can’t push them around, lol. I find it hilarious, they never check if a car is coming head on and I’ve seen many traffic collisions because of it.
Hi! I cant get on screen the AD menu. Anyone knows what im doing wrong? i started a new game, no mods installed only autodrive, I have tried changing some key binds and tried with keyboard and controller and nothing.
this will work very well with open fields ect but with fields that are narrow and trees on the side not so you have clear some fields to make enough room
Anyone else having trouble with the mouse scroll wheel not working for doing turns on autodrive? I also can’t seem to reassign the keybind to use the scroll wheel for camera distance.

I still cant get auto drive to work correctly. A lot of saying it cant reach a target, but i just drove the loop. Not sure if its me or the mod and I don't want to report an issue if its user error. I followed your steps exactly and nothing works. Even tried your process for pickup and deliver, nothing there. Now, I do have the base map courses on, I wish i could turn them off. I'm thinking that has something to do with it not working.

There are alot of already made AD courses on mod sites, try some, they save alot of time and and you can customize/test functionalities by yourself

A new update just came out for Courseplay, v 8.002(Bete) Also the Autodrive courses are already available for the 3 in game maps.

Yeah I also think there was a little bug in 22 on the headlands, once you were into the up and down rows it seemed to settle down

I had it set to drive if the trailer was more than 95% full but you can adjust that in the settings

In the settings there’s an option to disable the muse for the HUD, that should solve the problem 👍

Yes you have to set the waypoints but don’t need to crate separate paths for them they can run on the same path 👍

You shouldn’t take a revenue hit by using AI only the cost of the wages to pay your worker. The sell cost will be the same

Okay I guess the auto drive is just for a PC and not a console. I have seen no mod for console yet but it looks cool. We might be able to send a Ai helper to its destination but I’m not sure on that. I think Mr Sealy P showed how a AI worker can do the same thing as long as you add a point of location for it to go but I like the auto drive better. I wish it came on console
Yes just PC as it's a script mod which aren't allowed on console
Thanks for sharing, my friend! I have a question. I play single player and I prefer to run the harvesters myself. Can auto drive do the carting for me as it does for a course play controlled harvester? 🤔 That would be fantastic! Same with forage harvesters. The follow me mod was a help but not great as this would be if it worked. 😎🚜 👍
Yes 100% it can do that, just set your target in Autodrive to be the same as your tractor that’s running on Courseplay and every time you put your auger pipe out he should come and find you 👍

I downloaded the Auto drive mod and copied the file to my mods directory but it just will not show in game for me in the mods section i have downloaded it from the official source and literally just moved the file so i dont understand why it dont show all other mods i have work?
Did you download from releases of just grab all the files in a zip?

Just curious how this is better than the AI that already exists in game? I do load and deliver looping jobs all the time and never have any issues, and I don't have to set anything up. You can also set destination for vehicles and AI will drive them there without a job associated to it.
You can’t really compare the two, this will run a trai look er alongside a combine and auto unload it, deliver to multiple locations, feed your cows silage in their shed to name just a few. The in game AI is much improved in FS25 but if you want to take it to the next level Courseplay and Autodrive are fantastic

The avoid crop is only if it can do damage to the crop as u could see the tractor did no damage so it didn't care. But if u had a crop that would damage then it won't drive thru
Also u have to have crop destruction on in main settings
Not sure that’s it because I switched it of an on again and it started to avoid the crop
Yea fs22 had same if the tractor didn't damage the crop it didn't really care. But if it did it would avoid very smart
But looking at that almost the courseplay combine unload was better so I'm wondering if u set to the u load load point then when at that point can go to the courseplay one like u can In Fs22 with set autodrive that went into a courseplay one

@@TheFarmSimGuy so did the test as the unloading it wasn't too bad some reason the ai kept saying not enough space for unload with autodrive on the outside 2 headlands with the pea harvester then it kept ramming the back of it when it came up. The pipe offset didn't seem to work on autodrive. But it does on courseplay after that error goes they are about the same. And love the new autodrive now puts in every road and the intersections. As well as the two ways down the small roads by the fields really great addition from fs22. Even does most sell points just have to add ur parts in here and there very minimal
I don’t understand very well do I have to use cp for ad to work because I want to drive the combine and have a tractor running back to the barn tipping up and unloading me again
No just don’t setup courseplay, but make sure you have selected the same field target in Autodrive in the combine

I was doing this all wrong and now I have bad driving paths all over. Is there a way to delete everything and start all routes from scratch? Basically make it so CP and AD think it was just freshly installed? I tried deactivating the mod and reactivating but it remembers.
Yes go into your game save and delete autodrive_config.xml and that'll remove all courses from your map so you can start again

It didn't drive through the crops on the first unload, it went around to find the harvester.

There’s still no easy way to delete courses, you can remove a node at a time for small changes but best thing to do is delete the Autodrive.xml config from the save game folder. In terms of finding courses, I’m not sure what you mean, you should only have one course on your map with different target points to send your vehicles too, these are selected from your dropdown menu as shown in the video. You still have to create everything first though
@@TheFarmSimGuy i ment, i see you use a tractor on ur line, but what if i wanna add one whos been doing other stuff. how can i add the tractor/truck back to the line, coz for me it doesnt seems to function, i have the same issue with the wait point, i made it like urs put all the options like urs but to me it says cant find a path when hes done offloading from the combine it just stays there in the field recalculating as if the field is to large for him to find back the path , than when i do it manualy and turn back on autodrive the tractor simply doesnt perfroms its task. like hes forgotten what to do. and i cant seem to get it to function again. so far deleting the whole line and putting down an other did work untiull he got lost again after the first unload of the combine. srry for the bad english

Why is your money clicking down at about 1 euro a second? Do you have something else going too or does it cost that much to use these mods?
You have to pay wages for using these mods, you can of course turn that off in the settings though 👍
what about on PS5 were do I get the auto Drive to get me back & fore to my farm & others places
It;s just for PC, but you can use the in game AI as an alternative
It's good to see some of these game-changing mods coming back follow me is the one I can't wait for in the mod that makes your tires change colors

I have to agree with George. The traffic in 25 seems incredibly hostile compared to past versions. And to add to there arsenal of road warrior tricks, then can now overtake us in 25! 😂 Not to mention they still have a concrete frame to ensure we can’t push them around, lol.
I find it hilarious, they never check if a car is coming head on and I’ve seen many traffic collisions because of it.
Hi! I cant get on screen the AD menu. Anyone knows what im doing wrong? i started a new game, no mods installed only autodrive, I have tried changing some key binds and tried with keyboard and controller and nothing.
Ctrl Alt 0 (on your numpad) is the default
this will work very well with open fields ect but with fields that are narrow and trees on the side not so you have clear some fields to make enough room
Just restrict to the field in the settings, problem solved 👍
Anyone else having trouble with the mouse scroll wheel not working for doing turns on autodrive? I also can’t seem to reassign the keybind to use the scroll wheel for camera distance.
The Macdon with combine will not work its know by CP for a fix

@ thank you buddy. I take care of abused dogs for more then 20 years now and I already had 7 ones died of old age now. The first few days it hurts like hell but it gets better with time and i comfort myself with the thought I gave them the life they deserved. ❤️

I still cant get auto drive to work correctly. A lot of saying it cant reach a target, but i just drove the loop. Not sure if its me or the mod and I don't want to report an issue if its user error. I followed your steps exactly and nothing works. Even tried your process for pickup and deliver, nothing there. Now, I do have the base map courses on, I wish i could turn them off. I'm thinking that has something to do with it not working.
Im still yet to get an hour on the base game because it keeps crashing.
Any mods installed? PC specs? The game hasn’t crashed on me since day 1 so must be an issue with your setup rather than the game
