I used this baler in FS25 for making more than 1000 bales already. Some additional info you may not have noticed yet. First - the optional silage additive tank is actually broken (as of game version up to 1.4). This means you can configure and fill silage additive into it, but it won't be used at all. Hopefully Giants will fix this soon. And a pro tip: The baling chamber can hold 20000 liters of a filltype to be baled. But you might have an even bigger trailer to fill up the baler. If you do, just put this trailer in the unloading position behind the baler and fill up the baler. Then you can even turn off the trailers vehicle motor (tractor or truck) and start baling. As soon as the balers chamber has less than 10000 liters of the same filltype in it, it will automatically switch on the trailer to unload more and switch it off again when full or the trailer is empty. In other words, an additional step of automation.
A little tip to make grass bales, unfortunately you cant turn the wrapper off, but if you park in front of the bale storage shed, like your bale wrapper thing is inside the unloading zone, the baler wont wrap the bales, just load it directly into the storage, as grass bales.
I bale in November and December. 50 straw, 100 silage, and 100 hay per barn. I stopped baling in the field and started using the Goweil. Much more efficient.
Used this the other day and was very impressed. I was using an autoloading trailer with this out in the field but Klein's idea of dumping it directly into a shed takes it up a notch. Now that Courseplay has been released, need to see about getting an automated workflow going. Well done Klein. Merry Christmas and Happy Yule!
OMG Klein! thakns for showcasing this bailer! I was going to make a huge bailing sale type farm for my first go in FS25 but I was too stupid to figure out how to use that baler. 😂Thanks for educating me and showing some nice tricks like putting it by a storage shed too! haha Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Farmer Klein! Great presentation as always! Thanks! I used this in FS22 extensively as well with Course Play / Autodrive and in combination with a storage facility. It works like treat!
Merry Christmas and thanks for the video! I find this thing to be the absolute slowest way to make bales. My goto farming is grass for silage and running a big BGA. I play almost exclusively solo and greatly prefer to bale in the field. It's a much more efficient way to move product because a bale trailer will hold almost three times the volume of the largest trailer you can use for grass. I do like the bit with balling it straight into a bale storage though, and I didn't know it would do sugar beet cut or TMR. I'd probably prefer to buy a self-propelled forage wagon for the price if I were raising cattle.
I have a plan for this beast. I plan on putting down a bunker close to my bale/palet warehouse. Filling the bunker then either belting the chaf into the baler or eventually using the maus. I'm going to have to test the 2nd one to see if it'll reach.
Bale handling was my issue, with the recent autoload bale trailers! Anyway, I got bit by the basegame bale store bug, my first use, but quickly used a vehicle+trailer to counter the issue. Now planning a whole game design around it.
Oh the stationary bailer. Remember briefly using one in FS19. Didn't really see much point in it when i had CP do all grass work :) (Oh CP for FS25 works pretty good already in early beta) But this machine can be handy for baling and storing in one go, And handy when you do mowing on "meadows" and just load the grass in wagons. Oh noticed. TMR Bales? Did not know that was thing. Nice.
You don’t have to disable auto engine start. I keep auto start on if I start the baler and get out of the tractor it keeps going unlike other implements that shut off. Also, has anybody found a way to get past the bale limit? The game is counting all of my bales in the shed and won’t let me make any more.
Yes I discovered the same thing. I think a lot of people have this confusion from fs22 but giants have fixed it. Also about your question. I think you must be on console and unfortunately there is no fix. This is not an issue on PC.
Maybe they patched it then. I had about 40 bales of wrapped grass straight into storage, several days (in-game months) later they all came out "Grass Fermentation 0%"
I can also confirm that wrapped grass bales ferment in storage. I have been baling and wrapping in the field then moving them into storage (solo gameplay). I think that I'm going to try this machine with forage wagons instead now.
It's too bad it doesn't bale wood chips. It also would of been cool if Giant's made it like the real one, able to make bales in 3 different sizes (0.80 to 1.40 M [from 32" to 55"]).
It's super expensive, but it's about the only way in base game to process corn into silage efficiently. At launch we didn't have the forage pickup mod, so bunkers were a nightmare. This fixed that issue by bypassing bunkers entirely, though it's still crazy expensive and kinda touchy to work with.
I like it but I don't like how it's set up to work. You need 2 tractors. One to just sit and power the thing and another to just sit and unload the trailer. Also you have to move the bales out of the way every time it drops one. I set it up next to the bale shed in just the right spot and it will drop the bales and the shed will suck them in which is great. But on console I have to keep my screen on it while it's running or the tractors turn off. Even with auto shut off "off". Every time I switch vehicles to do something else the baler turns off. So it's kinda pointless. It would be nice if they could fix the bug or whatever it is and I can set it all up and let it wrap and drop in the shed while I do other tasks. But having to sit there and watch it run....might as well just wrap the bales in field and drive around picking them up.
I dont see any sense use this machine...its expensive and waste of time, just buy regular baler for straw grass etc...and bale of sugar beet has same price when you sale with trailer
If you take into account we now have the lizard forage pickup mod and the tardis mod, its MUCH faster than even the vicon fastbale. Set it up next tornrhe bale shed as shown, get two tardis trailers at 200kl ea, keep one dumping while you go forage up more grass windrows. Easy peasy. PROBABLY still a much higher initial cost/lease tho……

Why not just use the conveyor belt?

there should be a mod on modhub to turn off wrapper, been there since 12.12.24 ;)
@@styrr What's the name of the mod?
I bale in November and December. 50 straw, 100 silage, and 100 hay per barn. I stopped baling in the field and started using the Goweil. Much more efficient.
I store this on the front right corner with the turner to add the bales directly into the storage.
do you use the conveyor belt?
Does the bale storage work now?
This was the same in FS22 combined with a auto store bale shed it is great on its own it sucks.
Same 👍
@@unbiasedcobra6672 yes
Yep, this is a great bit of kit. Well worth the investment in the mid to late game. Lots of fun to use.

I knew there was a stationary baler somewhere in the shop but I couldn't find the dang thing. Thanks for showing this one off!

Great video! I thought i was the only one using this thing 😂 i prefer this for my corn silage over a bunker.
Happened upon one of these in the shop one time, and it really leveled up my grass silage game.
Appreciate the tips and video!Bought the DLC in FS22 and then never used it 😂. Merry Christmas!

There are many ways to play this is just one of them. Do what works for you.
Love this thing. It was my first big purchase on my farm.

If you park a self loading trailer next to the bailer just close enough to grab the bail once it is off loaded, it becomes a one person job.
Bale handling was my issue, with the recent autoload bale trailers! Anyway, I got bit by the basegame bale store bug, my first use, but quickly used a vehicle+trailer to counter the issue. Now planning a whole game design around it.
I think you can only turn on/off wrapping when the unit is turned off.
I’ve never used this machine before, but I’m going to now!
Thanks for showing this, never used it before.
I’ve never played this game. I am new to farming simulator 25 but this is good to know :-) thank you very much.
I set up mine on a downward slope so the bales roll out and it never stops

Thats my goal, showing off base game stuff and even long time players of the game can pickup a trick or two.
@@FarmerKlein I really liked the auto-unload into the storage. That's one useful feature.

@@brotato966 yup, on PS5. I was told if you put the bales in storage they don’t count towards the limit but that’s obviously false. Very frustrating.
@FFGOMER17 it works for me I have 400 bales in storage and can still make bales
needs to be a way to feed cornstalks to cattle or put cattle on cornstalk fields over winter. also bale the stalks.
if u pick the grass up with an waggon that has sileage additive tank then put it in this will it give it another additive boost on top?
I was just wondering the same thing.
Can't wait to use this machine
I see the silage additive is glitched, I followed your vid, and noticed it never goes down on yours or mine.
The fs17 version was able to bale woodchips too
And manure, I believe
If you dump grass straight into storage it won't ferment untill you pull it out and let it sit.
@@Anubis78250 well it clearly fermented in the storage, as can be seen in this video. The grass was silage at the end.
It ferments just fine in storage.
Not true. grass and chaff bales do ferment in storage in 25 as they did in 22.

Did the TMR turn back into silage after it was wrapped?
no
or park the bale trailer at the output and it auto loads onto the trailer

Guess silage additives still broken on this baler
I have 1141 bale count currently on mine. All silage

belts are great for silage also now we have the pickup belt back. More on that in tomorrow's video.
does anybody know how to empty the chamber if there is still material in it you cannot switch to a different product
Sure you can it will finish the bale out and unload it with other product. WOrks just like any other baler.
@FarmerKlein thanks for the response and keep up the beautiful reviews👊
You don't have to turn off auto start the vehicle will run until it is empty
I have this set up in front of a bale storage, bales fall off right into it

Caught it “used” early on…no idea what or how it worked…the price difference is what pushed me to buy…lol
Park the baler in the fill zone for the bale shed. As it unloads them it fills the shed.
Ahh, you mean like in the video at 13:50...
@@michaelstine1201 yeah. A couple min later he did it.
This is no longer on the mods on ps5 can't find it anywhere
its not a mod its built into the game.
@FarmerKlein thank you I found it after I posted.
I see they still have not yet fixed the silage additive bug 🙁 what a shame...
Yeah, it's almost like they consider it like the mineral addition for TMR, a cosmetic role-play feature. Hopefully they fix it.
This video might have been done with a previous update. Its been in the 'can' for a while now.
@@FarmerKleindid they fix it in 1.4? I SWORE it still wasn’t working.
I didnt get the season pass for 22 or 25. The modders usually have better stuff for free.
