- It’s time to start breaking out some of the new songs from Vermeer and I couldn’t be more happy to present “Blossom” to you for this Melodik Monday!
I know I say all the songs are special to me, but this one really makes me feel something. Maybe it is the simplicity of the melody or the backing chords, but I love playing it and it was a joy to record.
For the actual recording on Vermeer, I used my Kiesel raspberry Raw Tone Aries though the Neural Archetype: Gojira for the main lead tone and phase effect. I duplicated that exact rig for this play through.

This track is so melodic and pretty. Simplistic yet not, straight forward yet not. Another great example of how note choices and dynamics can set players and songs apart from others. The high end work building up to the end is just incredible. As always, totally inspiring writing and playing Neil. 🙏🤘

The Rising Sun flag is a symbol of Japan's Imperialism.
German never reuses its symbol of NAZI after the WORLD WAR 2.
However, Japan proudly uses it again and again without any compunction. Korea, China, and other Asian countries consider that Japan is still dreaming of achieving its glory of imperialism again.
Still, there are many victims who are suffering from Japan's past Imperialism. Even the Japanese government disapproves of apologizing to victims for its atrocities. Even though you can not fully understand victims' grief, not using the flag Rising Sun will help them at least in some ways.
Also, I know that you love Korea, and Korean.
So, I recommend changing your thumbnail without the Rising Sun flag.
