Pretty good for August. September and October are the best times, particularly for whiting. (I grew up three blocks from Myrtle Beach). I'd usually use cut mullet for blues, black drum or red drum. Trout hang around the rock outcrops at around 47th Avenue North. I used to watch a guy surf fish for large sharks by paying a surfer to take his bait 100 yards out and drop it. The big challenge on the piers were sheepshead which hang around the pilings. Fiddler crabs worked best on them. Murrell's Inlet is good for flounder and trout. It's possible to go to the end of the pier and get king mackerel.

Great feedback, I tried for hours after the storm to fish the pier columns hard for sheepshead. I caught a smaller red drum day after in the surf. Definitely coming back for the Mack’s run lol look like a blast to catch!

@@andrewnosal2106 I was referring to coming down in August-early Sept when the Spanish “Mack”erels are most likely running through that area. Neat to watch how crazy the piers get when they are in the area.

No $hit lol, not joking I may be nudging the wife to seriously consider it. Coastal fishing is all I think about and watch on the tube these days and how I can make another trip out just for fishing! I got it bad man haha! Would love to fish Murrels inlet, watched now a few vids chasing big kings and reds.

When I'm fishing on the beach, beside bonnethead, every shark I catch looks like a blacktip. I can't tell the difference.

lol I felt stupid but it was honestly so new to me fishing the coast and just how many species are out there. I later in the room learned the blacktip young are born much bigger. I’m jealous you have a beautiful fishery sad I only got one day at it, I’m hooked and definitely gonna be back for more filming!
