The spear is great and very adaptable I could see a whole range of useful additions just of the top of my head an axe, cleaver, barbed fishing spikes/trident, hooks, spiked ball etc...
That’s exactly what we are working on! We’ve already designed a couple of heads for it. Hopefully we will get them completed soon. Thanks so much for watching, Paul!
Thank you so much! It’s not finished yet! We are currently working on different end caps that will be sold separately that can be added to it. I hope you are having an excellent week!
I love the spear staff, but i would like to ask if you can do a spear staff that can also be splitted in two, and connect as one should needed. Hope you read this. And will be waiting for your next video on this. Thank you.
I agree two piece or extending or retractable is always better because u can carry it easier. Put it in the passenger seat and then extend it or put it together if needed
Good morning. Seahorse is a nasty bit of trouble. Liked the stiletto a lot. Spear still wins. Hope you had a great Christmas, and have a awesome new year. ☘️
the spear staff hasnt even been on your site that long and already making improvements love it. i do not own a billhook yet. i gotta show you this stiletto i have. the marker spike is great. i remember the one you made and i thought, "man that would absolutely work as a weapon"
Thanks brother! Yeah, that's the great thing about making many of our own weapons...we can upgrade them pretty quickly! I hope you are having an awesome week, my friend!
Sugar cane cutting utensils and stilettoes aside, my fav. this week hands down would be the marker spike. I heard rumours that the C.I.A. used plastic knives years ago. This weapon could also have many other uses too I feel, like for hobby craft or even pumpkin carving. Have a great new year guyz and as always I'll see you all Weapons Wednesday.
Kyle there so many weapons to choose from and it is very hard.so,I choose the Removable Spike Spear Staff but I also like the Midnight Big Boy Stilleto.nice vlog.keep it up.God bless always and Happy New Year to you and your staff and family
Is the spear staff hollow? Another great video, BTW. You always do a great job! The only problem with today's video is it wasn't long enough. Take care, God bless and Happy New Year!
Thank you so much! I’ve tried to shorten the videos a little bit to keep them moving a little faster. Yes, the spear’s body is made from a thick-walled high strength aluminum. It is extremely strong while still managing to be fairly lightweight. I hope you have an excellent New Year!
I built a quarterstaff and I bought 2 brass walking cane tips for a bit over 12$ each. It comes with a stainless steel spike that can screw in similar to this
Thanks for the Weapons Wednesday. I'm home from visiting family, and I will try to catch last week's video soon. My nephew has a tooth infection, so he hasn't done anything with his throwing knives and was a little subdued in his reactions. Even so, he really enjoyed the variety of throwing knives that I got him. As he gets better and starts throwing, I'll let you know how they do. With that in mind, I wondered how the Seahorse Slasher Knife and Hidden Marker Spike would do as throwing knives. My sense from your video is that the marker spike would be too lightweight to be any good as a throwing knife. On the other hand, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if the Seahorse Slasher Knife were a reasonably good thrower. If you ever find yourself messing around with these again, you might try throwing that one. If the seahorse doesn't sell as a single knife, maybe the manufacturer could fiddle with the design slightly, improve the balance for throwing, and turn this design into a throwing knife. As a throwing knife, this design is still a bit of a "mall ninja" item, but the eyes become reminiscent of "nose art" of WWII fighter planes when the whole design is that of a throwing knife. I don't know how good the Big Boy Stiletto really would be, but the size reminds me a little bit of the Fairburn-Sikes commando knives of WWII. If one could use this knife with those techniques, the edge retention might be a little more important. If I remember correctly, some of those commando techniques depended on slashing. Even so, one could sharpen the knife regularly and have a good enough edge for one or two attacks. For hard-core usage, I'd always rather have a fixed-blade knife, but this one might still serve in a pinch for someone who was good with those techniques.
I’m sorry to hear about your nephew. Hopefully that tooth infection goes away soon so he can enjoy the holidays. I didn’t even think to try the seahorse knife as a throwing knife. I may have to try that out! Have an excellent week, my friend!
Our host has some moves with these weapons! Can you imagine Todd Boone over at Cutlery Corner pulling that off? I'd be heading for the muster point with my hard hat on and the first aid manual open to page 1.
Lol…thank you! I’ve had the opportunity to spend a little time with the guys at Cutlery Corner and they are so nice! I hope you have a very Happy New Year’s!

@@Kang003 I agree, brother! I just worry about how strict the laws are on gravity and OTF knives, so we don’t carry them on KarateMart.com. I have too many employee’s livelihoods I care about to put the company in jeopardy. I hope you have a fantastic New Year’s, my friend!
That’s an excellent question, Stiles! It depends on the type of martial art and your instructor, but generally you’d choose the one closest to your height. Thanks so much for all your support! I really appreciate it. I hope you have a Happy New Year as well!
@@stilesjohnson1745 Well, I would not say I'm now in expert level yet, but if you try to solo training, better focus yourself to get used in thrusting or pocking than swing your staff. It's more effective that way to hurt someone while at the same time keeping your foe's distance. But still, it would be better if you actually have a training partner or actual teacher, so you can see yourself what moves that more likely to work and what moves that less likely to work.
The billhook but dual wielding for the Zombie Apocalypse, also perhaps just need a lanyard for the wrist to the handle, we don't want Zombies to wander off with our weapons :) The staff is also a great weapon in thrusting even for children putting an end to the ground and letting gravity do the work and the Zombie impales itself. This way children can also protect themselves from the melee predator. Some ask the question, of how are they able to also protect themselves in trouble time of an SHTF scenario.
Interesting video. I like the staff and the stiletto. However edge retention in my opinion is still important on a stiletto even if it is primary stabbing weapon. because in a knife fight you often attack hands trying to slice your opponents hand so he loses the grip on his knife to disarm him. and that does require being able to cut and knife should be able to do both even if it is primary designed to do one. staff is a really interesting weapon. because the spikes can be removed you can use it kind of like a spear with just one pointy end with the long thrust spear has where you rest it underneath your shoulder. I don't know how much damage it would do because it still has no edge but if it will deliver same damage as a normal hit with the point of this stuff then damage will be more than enough and you have longer range. of course you can still put both points or no points at all. but to me having at least one point would be best.
Loved the spear staff. The only thing I have concerns about is the fact that the design uses dissimilar metals. The concern is for the longevity of the weapon.
Thanks Frank! I totally understand your concern. We use a very thick walled aluminum for many of our weapons and it holds up great and is lighter than steel. We just chose to make the tips in stainless steel because that will allow the tips to withstand impact a little better. Thanks so much for watching! I hope you have a very Happy New Year!
Is a two piece, convertible, spear staff possible? For example, such a spear staff would screw together in the middle. I ask for travel reasons. Airlines will not let anyone carry a Bo staff on an airplane. I could pack a two piece spear staff in my luggage. In addition, I could use one half of the staff as a cane. An attachable cane top would be nice, a piece that screws on to form a T. Walking with a full length staff would draw too much attention cities in various countries, something I absolutely avoid. I already have attention as a foreigner. And also a full length spear staff is an excellent hiking staff. The spear point is excellent in ice and snow. And at the end of the hike, I have entertainment practicing Bo staff techniques
Hi Scott! Yes, that is absolutely possible. We already make 2 and 3 piece versions of our standard staffs, but not of the spear staff. That is definitely a possibility for the future. Thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate it!
Do they even sell pants with pockets deep enough to fit that stilletto? Guess it's more the kind of blade meant to be carried on the inside pocket of a jacket. Very movie gangster 😄
