    Thanks so much for showing clear section headlines! Are other YT reviewers seriously expecting me to watch every 30 min review from beginning till end?

      Glad it was helpful @ferdipoldi As we always skip to the best bits of a video, so we add in the sections for you guys, too 😀

    Haven’t smelled the latest two releases but purchased Eau De Parfum on bank holiday in London and it’s my personal all time favorite.

    My family just bought me EDP, but I can’t open it until Father’s Day in a couple weeks. 😤🤣 I want to start using it sooo bad! The sample was amazing! I also had a straight Parfum sample, and it’s great too, but it really disappears on my arm after a couple hours. The EDP, on the other hand, smells even better and really knocks it out!

      Hello @Jason Krishka - sorry or the delay! how did you get on? The EDP is a great choice. 😍 As I think I mentioned in the video, try layering it with TF Tobacco Vanille for the evening, works incredibly well with the tobacco and rich fruits ;-)

    Thanks for the comparison! I didn't like the opening of Elixer, but the dry-down on my arm was excellent. my girlfriend doesn't like how strong Sauvage is so I'll have to spray very carefully around her =(

      Hey @Ronald Japenga - Our pleasure! Yes, Elixir settles down into a well-balanced spicy/woody scent with cheeky touches of lavender. I found after filming that it was still projecting nicely (but not beast-mode) after 6-7 hours. However, if the Mrs does not enjoy Sauvage then steer clear! Always best to wear something the other half loves 😍😊 ...would be rude not to, haha. - Andrew

    I've only ever had the edt of savauge but the elixir interests me because it's something totally different and a more masculine one so all reviews say, it seems a bit more divisive though some love it some hate it whereas the previous 3 savauges are kinda related if you like one you like the 3 of em

      Hi @Shaun Bradley - yes, Elixir seems to stand on its own among the collection. Since filming it's really grown on me and certainly bottle worthy, even if you have the Parfum/EDP/EDT.

    The combination of sauvage edp and tobacco vanille i did not know. I understand now why there are my favorite flagrances. I have both and i will try the combination. Thanks!!

    • @vioralondon
      @vioralondon  2 года назад +1

      Hello @Maxime S. - Yes, well worth checking out that combo as the smoky vanilla and dried fruits of TF TV inject something incredible (to my nose). We accidentally came across the combination as I was wearing Sauvage during the day and then we had to rush out to a late afternoon event, so I just quickly applied TF TV and OMG, a match made in heaven 😍. - Andrew

    Thanks for your review. Is the "Elixir" more concentrated than the "Parfum" ?

    • @vioralondon
      @vioralondon  2 года назад +5

      Hello! , I imagine it is slightly more concentrated. Elixir is described by Dior as a 'concentrated fragrance' and the box says 'concentrated parfum' rather than 'parfum' or 'pure parfum'. I messaged Dior customer service a couple of times asking what is the % concentration of parfum compared to the parfum version and never got an answer.
      What I can say is Elixir lasts the longest out of the 4 fragrances (as I have tested all 4) but it does not projects as crazy strong initially as the EDT and EDP, its more subtle. Sorry not to be more helpful! - Andrew

    Great breakdown. I managed to tune the Elixir recently, didn’t like it on first wearing but massively grew on me on second trial so I purchased a bottle. I have heard it layers extremely well with Sauvage EDT, so I may purchase that. Have you tried it?
    I guess I need to try Sauvage EDP, if you find it the very best. Do you think it’s the best balance between freshness and spices? Also, would have never thought it would layer well with TF TV, which is completely different type of scent. I guess I should try that too. I wonder if the TB will be too overpowering given the strength. Do you apply equal sprays of TF and Sauvage ?
    Thanks for your great review 👍🏻

    • @vioralondon
      @vioralondon  2 года назад +1

      Hey @Amir Güzel - Elixir does indeed need a few goes to get the hang of but I do really like it and will get a bottle for myself too. For me, it's a cold-weather evening frag.
      Yes, have seen a few reports on the Fragrantica community about layering it with the EDT and can see that would work well to get the best of both worlds. Have not tried it myself but will check it out.
      For me personally, the EDP remains the best all-weather/any situation fragrance as the balance is good (to my nose) between spicy, fresh and warm.
      Regarding TF TV.... I love that combo if I am out for the evening or a chilly autumn/winters day. Deffo worth trying out in-store if you get the chance and see if you like it. I apply equal TF and Sauvage (side by side), how many sprays depends on the situation.
      The max I usually spray (for a single fragrance) is 1 on each side of the neck, 2 to the upper chest, and one on each wrist/inside forearm. So I just double up when using both fragrances (spray side-by-side rather than over the top of each other).
      Hope that this helps and thanks for your support! - Andrew

      @@vioralondon - thanks so much, I tried the combo today. Great advice Andrew 👌🏻Do you find that the TV overpowers the Sauvage EDao a little? I applied 2 sprays of each and smells amazing but I get around 80% smell of TV and 20% of Sauvage EDP. Do you get that too?
      But definitely great 👍🏻

    • @vioralondon
      @vioralondon  2 года назад

      Hello @Amir Güzel - Ah glad you tried it out! 😍 Yes the TF can overpower the Sauvage, for me personally that fine for the evening if I am going out as I love the additional depth. However perhaps try 2x Sauvage to 1x TF TV for the everyday? Let me know how you get on 😊 - Andrew
