Thanks for the video i have a 22 fsport 350 have not looked at the filter yet what did you cut out ? Do you use a throttle controller ? I was looking into banks pedal master seems pretty good
Unfortunately I do not know how the air filter box in the 22 FSport is set up. In my car their was a fabric like layer in the box that I cut out. It was an unnecessary restrictive layer that isn’t needed
@@ultramotivecoffee i checked today actually no extra filter so i bought afe dry filter now i need to put the hole in the front correct ? Towards the lights ?
@@timmytfpv7316 no the FSport box I believe has the hole on the side but I can’t remember. Don’t quote me on it 🤷♂️

Did you cut out the permanent air filter in the stock intake box? I did with mine.

UPDATE so i have a 22 is350 so i bought afe dry filter opened it up today put a 5” circle hole in the front of the box mine had no extra filters or liners inside top . Put it back together just went for a test drive and i was very surprised on the result it sounds fantastic ! And 100% better throttle response in fact flooring it from a stop traction control going nuts so much better im truly shocked now im rethinking do i really need a throttle controller ? Maybe just a exhaust anyone else have this experience ?
Don’t get a throttle controller… put that money towards the exhaust and tune
@@ultramotivecoffee would a exhaust show more improvement on throttle cause i was truly shocked with the filter
@@timmytfpv7316 a throttle control just makes the car think it needs to floor it all the time so basically the feeling you get when you floor it but without having to do that.

Will tjr metal tube heat up over time?
By heat up do you mean become a discolored look like titanium? If that is what you are asking, then no. The tube does heat up just like any other type of material but it does not become discolored or give that titanium look.
