    I was in my 3rd year in university 10 minutes away from this war zone. We we just finished our last exam when the war broke out. We couldn't sleep that night hearing the gunshots throughout the night. 3 months later we came back in the uni to continue our 4th year. Still hearing guns and bombs. But we have to continue with the classes. Even in fear.

    much more difficult for the philippine army since they are not used to urban warfare. if this was a jungle warfare, this is easy for the army and won't take long to annihilate all of em..

    • @1911Zoey
      @1911Zoey 6 лет назад +8

      No offense but it's harder to fight in the jungle for the military. We've seen much from Vietnam to know what it was like. Within cities it's much harder to get ambushed since you can pretty much use walls and buildings as cover. There's a good reason why NPAs, Abu Sayyaf and other SEA rebels have their bases there. It's easier for smaller groups to use guerilla tactics against larger forces such as the AFP and the perfect terrain for that is the jungle. Pag sa city sila, they're basically asking to get killed. If I were them, I would never siege Marawi and just take prisoners to ask for ransom, but thank God they were bloody idiots.

    Is it just me or are Phillipinos some of the most beautiful people on the planet? male and female. Like maybe they arent inherently more attractive than another race, but it seems like there's way more super attractive Filipinos relative to average looking Filipinos than with other ethnicities. Male and female (but particularly the women). Like I work with a bunch of Filipino guys, just normal blue collar guys like me, and every single one of their wives are fuckin 10/10 gorgeous. And when I see footage of the Philippines it seems like everywhere you look there's women that look like they could be models. Rich, poor, young, old... They all just look so angelic. And the men too honestly.
    Add onto that the fact that theyre so hardworking, earnest, often very intelligent... I guess it's probably racist or whatever but as a WASP very far away from the Philippines - they seem to me like they are some kinda superior race of chosen people. Something about their genetics just makes them all pretty as fuck

    So many hateful comments on Muslims and maranao. I hope they understand that civilians(Muslim or not) are true victims of war . They lost their homes and everything. They didnt want this to happened. Judging them by their religious beliefs doesn't mean they are all the same. Hate and resentment will just produce more. Please don't judge people by race or religion.

This is obviously a failure of intelligence. How could this group able to move men, weapons and logistics to sustain the seige of this beautiful city without detection.

US government and some western countries have intel of that insurgency activity less than a week before the Philippine Army and PNP encountered ASG in bohol. The intention of ASG to kidnap tourists in Bohol was prevented. Thanks for that readable intel of US government.
