Why are people trying to kill you? 😂 You have Dream Theater, then you have Dream Theater's side project to stretch the boundaries of techinical ability and endurance for fun. I typed this before I watched, I said a prayer for you before I pressed play. Edit: so... you chose pain... Rip The only people that would say that you suck at playing guitar are the ones that haven't even sniffed one. John Petrucci humbles us all. Just remember, he went to Berkeley school music. He's been pushing the boundaries of playing guitar before we were born. You don't suck at guitar, you're just 40 years or so behind.
I also want to add that Drumeo invited Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater and Liquid Tension Experiment drummer) and challenged him to learn Tool's Pneuma as fast as possible. It took him 8 hours of listening and practicing. Drumeo ended up piecing together different sections together because it's that difficult. Virtuosos can even be humbled by other virtuosos. Expecting you to nail this track even with the Rocksmith tracking would just be plain ignorant. If you hit that song perfectly, without hearing it, you would be a god.
@@CrazyAwesome They are a pretty popular band and will give you a boost in viewership for sure. They're also a progressive rock band, that actually knocked Taylor Swift off from number one on the Billboard charts. The drums and bass are core sound of the band. The song "Schism" would probably be a good starting point for you.
@@CrazyAwesome Tool is great. They're pretty popular. Knocking Taylor Swift off the number 1 spot was legit a feat. Every Tool fan will remember this and remind their kids of what happened 🤣.
This song has one of the craziest guitar solos ever, and definitely one of my favorites by Petrucci. He keeps the build going and once you're like "oh my this is insane" IT SOMEHOW KEEPS BUILDING????
My Friend, you must react Liquiud Tension Experiment - When the Water Breaks live 2008, this is amazing, trust me Bro :) Sorry for my english... Greetings from Poland Bro!
Thanks for the request!!! I really appreciate it - ooooo wow all the way from Poland?? Thanks man! I'm in the US over here (unfortunately) 🤣 I appreciate you watching!!! Stay Awesome my dude! 🤘💙🎸
@ Fun times! okay ready for the next one? Dream Theater - In the Name of God (live at Budokan). Petrucci does a show ending outro improvised solo for the ages!! Cheers man!
Amazing pprformance at this difficulty leve!!!!!, btw this is almost all Dream Theater members at this point except Tony Levin, legendary bassist. In fact, this is how they recruited Jordan Rudess into DreamTheater!!! Popcorn is always good I guess ;P
To be fair, the first two LTE albums were recorded before Jordan (keyboardist) joined the band. Tony Levin (the guy playing Chapman stick in this, the weird bass guitar thing) never joined Dream Theater, but he was in King Crimson back in the 80's and is on tour with Steve Vai, Adrian Belew, and Danny Carey from Tool this season (got tickets to see them in a month; so amped)
@@CrazyAwesome What makes them interesting is the fact that the EQ dials on them work COMPLETELY differently to the EQ dials on other amps, instead that job is tossed to the graphic EQ on the right side of the amp. The DIALS shape the tone before it gets to the distortion stage so they act differently, e.g. the mids dial is more of a mids saturation knob (and boosts gain a little), treble dial both smooths out and makes the treble more intense sounding as you turn it up, and you essentially want NO bass on the bass dial because it muddies up the tone entirely. However the graphic EQ on the other side of the distortion stage works like you'd expect an EQ to work. :P
Dang that's actually super interesting, thanks for the detailed explanation! I'll probably take a look at some more in action to get a feel for them! 😎🎸
@@CrazyAwesome Heck yeah! I use the Neural DSP Mark IIC+ plugin myself, I just plug my guitar into my PC to use it. It's really fun to twiddle around with.
Please check out John Petrucci's solo material. Please react to Terminal Velocity,v The Way Things Fall, and Temple of Circadia. These insane instrumentals will blow your mind. 🤯🤯🤯
all these people have been killing me with their requests dude 🤣🤣 but I mean hey, the pain has to be well rounded. It comes full circle. Start the day with pain, end the day with pain 😂😂
DT and now LTE? Hang onto your seat. And nobody should ever hate or shame you for attempting such a challenge or play music. If someone does, just ignore them, and keep carrying on.
Also fun fact: the solo in this live version is ENTIRELY improv, it's completely different to the album. It's actually ridiculous.
SERIOUSLYYYYYYYY?? THAT IS MADNESS!!!

So speaking of Tool I've never actually listened to them. Should I do Tool on my channel?

I haven't heard this one yet! Looks like another one to add to my list 👀
Didn't see or hear you say anything about the band, but everyone except the bass player are from dream theater, so that should make sense for you now.
I completely forgot to mention that, it's Dream Theater in disguise basically 🤣🤣

Mesa mark series amps will do that for tone! Gotten some of the best stuff out of them honestly, but they're VERY tricky to work with.
