I've been benevolent and loved my neighbor as myself all my life after Christ found me. People were jelous and fearful of my confidence and ability to love others. I paid many prices for following my heart. Wanting experience love like anyone else has escaped me making me struggle with my faith but I will not abandon what I have invested alone because the author of love lives and experienced rejection and he said i would too. Going thru covid 19 right now...sitting in my room..feeling like sbit..my ears are all scabbed..red asf... Cant eat..cant drink..cant piss.. All I can do is listen to songs like this... I have a lot of favorite bands..probably 50 or so but Lifehouse is the the band I am going with right now... If I'm going out I'm going out with them and the Lord. God bless
In the time of the Stations of the Cross. Simon was always Jesus' best friend. Simon is the name of the song in a way to have us feel related to him. Would we be like simon? most likely.
Eerie is that he is a very biblical man from childhood on. Went thru tough trials of being in parents missionary work in China, which when they returned to California tore their marriage apart. Ironically Simon was also the name of the man picked from group of people to help Jesus carry his cross. Didn’t want to, but he did it. More to it than little stories read that if you know the Bible, you can feel this intertwined in it.
for me: "lesser known" means some of the BEST. Like this one for instance. It's heart felt, beautiful and just a great song over all. It's a hidden gem(: and one of the reasons why i LOVE LOVE LOVE lifehouse. i can relate to it.
No problem. This seems to be one of their lesser known/not as popular songs. To name a few others that match that criteria (at least in my opinion): Storm, Who We Are, Sick Cycle Carousel, All In All, It Is What It Is, Trying and Into The Sun. Eventually, I think I'll do videos for every Lifehouse and Dishwalla song I have.
People should know how epic this band is, and how awesome their songwriting is. So many songs speak directly to me, and this is no exception.
