I really don’t get the whole squatter rights thing. Aren’t the homes private property? If that’s the case isn’t that trespassing and theft.

they need to fix the law to make it more reasonable but id guess its in place because its bad to have property that's just stagnant and not being used for anything and its incentive to use and maintain land.

If a property is not lived in after a certain amount squatters can possibly claim rights of abandoned property because of eminent domain. Each state law is different. It's intention is to make sure the property is used to house people. Essentially stripping rich people from taking advantage of property for portfolio assets. I read that somewhere that's how the pilgrims were able to justify taking native American land.

When squatters take over a property, it becomes a landlord v tenant case, the best way to overcome that is to do what Flash (Squatter Hunter) does, you have the owner of the home lease you the building and you can then have the squatters evicted without taking them to court
Lessee rights > Squatter rights > Landlord rights

Homeowners shouldn’t have to file for an eviction that can take 2 years to do on people who just move their stuff in, change the locks, and make the homeowners pay for everything. Pay the hunter well then charge the state for their removal sue the damn state law makers who only protect the criminals. And why do we allow the bad policy makers to remain in that position to do more harm. We put them in power but nobody seems to want to remove them from that power seat. Why?

It's a law from centuries ago and it pertained to properties that weren't occupied after the owner died in a war or something. Empty properties were cropping up everywhere, hence why people were given the OK to move into unoccupied places. No longer relevant. Now it's just a burden to society.

IGNORE THE LAW! The can’t and WON’T help you.
I suffered 8 months with a squatter. Paid 3k to a lawyer to evict. Took MONTHS! Then the state of Az FORCED me to let her back in to get her stuff. YEP! She moved right back in. So I sold it to an investor and took a 70k loss. Squatter still there after closing.
I heard from a neighbor, that the squatter was ‘removed’ by the new owner with cuffs and a bag over her head. Her stuff was trashed out in the middle of the night. This squatter has never been seen or heard from again. And a new tenant moved in the very next day.
People ! SQUATTERS HAVE NO RIGHTS! Just because a State passes an UNCONSTITUTIONAL LAW, does NOT mean you have to acknowledge that law. WE must hold government accountable and IGNORE THEM AND QUIETLY TAKE CARE OF YOUR PROBLEM WITHOUT THEM. This is the world we live in now. If we continue to allow our CORRUPT GOVERNMENT to impose UNCONSTITUTIONAL LAWS, we don’t have a COUNTRY.

allowing this ...When she came back to get her stuff....lol you should of put her stuff on porch in protective bags and changed your locks and ALWAYS have a fake lease with your name on it to show police...Gotta be smarter than the squatter , the police would of enforced YOUR * squatters right * over your private property rights ...
