Wild side was a shock it was released after feel my rhythm so it really has reminded people why red velvet was titled as the most versatile girl group ever !!!
A couple of notables you need to watch. The iconic "Red Flavor" is their undisputed king of their "red" songs which charted for an absolutely incredible 62 straight weeks. Also, their first ever single for SM station "Would U." Watch the live acoustic version. Joy was missing for both the song and video because she was filming a drama at the time.

Lmao wildside always have that affect to most people! Either it left you speechless or screaming as heeell 😂 It's just brilliant. It was so long since we heard them singing a powerful velvet side like that. The intense vocal, shouting everywhere, how they take turns on the chorus and the high note. And the Visual. They SERVED SO WELL. Kudos to the music producer, director, stylist and whoever work behind this project. God I just hope they also release this in Korean or something because this song deserves to be performed outside Japan too! (They only perform it in Japanese concert) Fyi they are preparing for their 3rd full album atm, let's pray at least they'll do a strong velvet again like this 🧎♀️ (i know they never repeat concept but hey a girl can hope🤞🏼)

I LOVE this song and the MV really fires the imagination as a spy thriller. I think it may possibly be linked to GOT The Beat's MV for their song 'Stamp On It' (because both Seulgi and Wendy were involved in that project). If I remember right, there is a video for Behind the Recording of for 'Wildside' on Red Velvet's channel. I know they have done that for a few different projects. I liked the Behind video for the song 'Feel My Rhythm' quite a lot, it really shows what hard work and effort the girls put into their songs in the recording booth. Those videos are all really cool, you get to hear their voices before the engineers over-produce them. I wish they would do more natural-sounding things because all of these ladies are amazing natural vocalists. The over-production actually annoys me at times (that is no fault of the girls).
@@riffgroove In this case for me, the over-production of the musical part is worse; it sounds like too much static on the Horn section. Maybe they tried to mask something the girls were doing vocally? I don't really know, I am just guessing but there is some small nit-picky little thing I don't like. Other than that tiny dumb detail for me, I think it's a GREAT song, has great rhythm, great vocals, great lyrics...and obviously I have nothing bad to say AT ALL about the Video... :)

Japanese tracks in general seem to be very over-produced vocally.
