wow, amazing track, dude, this music is worth of the best epic last chapter anime farewell, you are a great keyboard player, i was looking for a keyboard and now i know already what keyboard i will buy, thanks a lot!!, i suscribe :D
Bro, your work is really cool, congratulations!! Could you give me a REALLY SINCERE opinion about the keys for this driver, please? I have an old CASIO CDP135... I bought it in 2019. I use it as a live driver and at home on Home. His keys are TOO MASSIVE. Like, in this controller, is it "too light" to the point of bothering comparing the two? I say this because I know there is an 88-note version of it, but I believe the variant here is just a quantity of notes; I don't know if the 88 simulates a hammer. But I want a COMPACT one, it's easier to carry!! That's why the 10000000 question: Are the keys on these compacts legal? Thank you very much for your attention my brother!!
This is insanely good! How long have you been playing? I'm looking to purchase this keyboard (thats how i came across your video). What do you make of the feel of the keys?
Hey Gav - thanks! I have been playing the piano for about five years. Tbh I'm more of a weighted-keybed guy, so for a pianist I wouldn't actually recommend this keyboard. But in this price range, you cannot really get anything with weighted keys - and then these semi-weighted are actually a quite good alternative. And as a controller for a VST synth or a daw, this keyboard is really good! Especially with the huge amount of assignable knobs. But if you're looking for something to play a piano VST on, I would recommend paying a few extra 100 bucks for a weighted keyboard - eg. the Studiologic SL88 Studio. Or a more high end electric piano with built in sounds (The Nord Stage would be lovely)!
@@MathiasMouritsen Awesome! Really good man i love abit of emotional piano and pads playing underneath sounds great! I kinda wanna use it for both - To use inside a DAW for synths like spire and sylenth, but also learning piano too. Hard nailing down a choice, when you can't really feel it yourself. So with that in mind for both synths and piano vsts would you still recommened weighted keys?
Gav Roberts In my opinion, practicing or playing the piano is not ideal on the semi-weighted keys. Though these keys are perfect for synth playing, the weighted keys do a fine job too for that. So all in all i would say, that the weighted keys are the safest choice. Perfect for piano and fine for synth. Therefore i would recommend the SL88 for piano playing - still working fine for synth stuff. The only disadvantage is, that the 88 weighted keys is heavy and hard to transport
Thanks! The midi controller is nothing in it self. You are gonna need a DAW like logic, mainstage or Ableton. The midi keyboard teels the DAW wich notes to play and then the computer makes the Sounds. Therefore i don’t think you will succeed using a phone - especially not an Android (iOS has GarageBand at least). So you’re gonna need a computer - i would reccomend a MacBook with Mainstage (quite cheap and with awesome Sounds). Though you can still buy this keyboard and use the included Bitwig software for both Windows and Mac
Since i haven't tried the Novation i cannot tell what i think of it. But sure it is fine! The reason i preferred this keyboard was actually because of the piano-looking keys. Honestly i think these two are quite similar - except from the price. I love the Nectar especially because of its easy setup in Logic. It is a great keyboard for the price.
Kaio Araujo I don’t think there’s a things such as the best mini controller...There are varieties so you have to find the one that works for your linking
Is it possible to split keyboard on LX61 to two different MIDI channels ? I found info that only LX88 have this option, but on this video it looks like you play piano on right hand and left hand has different instrument.
Giftson Durai Yes, all butons, knobs, faders and even the Keys are compatible with Mainstage, and you can map a desired parameter, effect or sound to each of these
i was gonna buy either lx88+ or sl88 grand and i pick sl88 grand :D Now i also want a lx49+ or 25+ to have some production control. I love my sl88 grand and especially it keys but i need stuff that lx have.
I must admit, that I havn't tried it. I used Logic and MainStage right from the start. The program is probably just so that Nektar doesn't sell a keyboard without functions. But it sure works and I believe it is a fine starter software!
Nice! ;) I set up a mainstage concert and designed a control on the screen for each control on the keyboard. I then mapped each keyboard control to the corresponding control in MainStage and for each patch assigned a specific sound volume or effect to one control
Hello. Good sound♡ help me~ How do I combine it with a master keyboard to play a great sound? How do I combine it with a master keyboard to play a great sound?
@@MathiasMouritsen Although my skills are very poor, I am serving the piano at church once a week. I wrote a comment to know how to operate the master keyboard for music production.I think it's a good combination to have strings or pads in the basic piano sound.
Though theres a pair of good sounding stock pianos, this one is the Studio Grand from XLN Audios Addictive Keys. I got one free keyboard sound when buying my Scarlet 2i2 interface - pherhaps you have something similar? The pad is free though and i think is from Sunday Sounds free worship mainstage starterpack (pad called Frontier Pad). Good luck!
For the piano I use the Modern Upright from XLN Audio. For the pad I use Sunday Keys' free pad named Frontier Pad. It comes with their package with 150 free MainStage patches.
Hey! It sound amazing. How do you do it? I've got the same keyboard as you and it sounds really bad when I play the "piano". Sometimes too loud, sometimes to low... Can you help me please? I think that the sensivity of my keyboard is totally wrong and I don't know how to fix it.
You should release this song. This literally gave me the vibe of a Tony Anderson song. You got some serious talent. :)
Lol
Bro this sounds lit 🔥😭
This is the best one and I loved it so much. Make more like this 😍😍
Sounds absolutely great. Awesome.
It is sound of DAW or VST, not of LX61 and so. It is only MIDI controller, without own tones.
Well done Sir...!!
I Am INSPIRED!!!
Thank you...👍🤙🙏

Novation Lauchkey 61 or Nektar impact LX61 ?

roland a49 midi and nektar gx49, which of the two is better?
I have one of these but I think it’s broken cus it’s never sounded this good 🤭
Great playing btw...
Thanks a lot! The sounds is nothing about the keyboard, but only how they are designed in MainStage
You played it very nice :)
What is the song name you played? Can you share more information?
Thanks! It isn't any particular song - just something I played while recording
how's the keybed feeling?
how do you do your setup?
