When this played with all the sound effects on the season finale I could not stop laughing and crying. It was just so stupid funny and sentimental that I just did both
Every. Single. time. I see Tracey's little glance back, and reassuring smile I genuinely tear up. It really perfectly embodies that feeling of dread and sadness that followed immediately afterwards. It's probably been said hundreds of thousands of times by now but good god, bravo to the every party involved on all fronts. To the animator for this scene, to the person who covered this song, to Salty and his friends, to EVERYONE. Bravo. I can't wait to see what the friendlocke for black produces.

@Mr. Nobody. actually, amusing enough, if pastey had evolved he would've had a pretty good shot at surviving that lmao. according to the damage calc over at smogon, if pastey had ANY defense iv's or ev's and was evolved, he would've survived that revenge so long as it didn't crit. if he was somehow unlucky enough to have neither, there was still a chance he lived there. the WORST case scenario would involve a perfect atk IV machoke with a + atk nature alongside a lack of defense and pastey STILL would've had ~25% chance of walking away. all that is to say is that he almost certainly would've lived had he just evolved lol.

Salty killed it with this series. I was there for every steam and can say that it is legitimately one of the best pieces of content I have seen in the last 3 years. The humor felt so natural and fun. The eventual plot and chat interaction was fun. Every stream and highlight video made my day. I genuinely, I can NOT wait for season two. Ultimately, Friendlocke truly is a special little series that I feel like is only going to get better and better. It was a journey from watching the entire series of videos to watching all the vods, to rewatching the entire series again after watching the Vods. You truly have something special here Salty. There was rarely ever a dull moment. In other words, despite watching everything I still don’t know who the heck Mr. Apple is. Did I miss something?
Normally spoilers kill my motivation to watch something. If these moments people in the comments are talking about are half as powerful as they think... Yeah, I feel strangely motivated.
I was wondering if this was an original recording and the fact that it is is crazy. Just heard the original sonh for the first time myself after this. Having this recording nails the anime feel to an unreal degree.
Naruto could only *wish* that it had this epic of an opening. The references and hints to future events are too much for the mind to comprehend. Seriously though, the animator did incredible with this, that's some serious dedication!
Still as impressed with this as i was when it was first shown on steam. Being so high quality and produced so fast i don't understand how someone couldn't be.

Ya know- Can we just appreciate that salty added everyone's pronouns with their social medias in the description? This- this makes me unbelievably happy- much respect saltman
You know this actually deserves to be considered an anime with an actual story. Even if half the friendlocke was Salty’s friends arguing or f*cking around, there was a legit plot and backstory to everyone in the friendlocke (besides red and chatform) and most of those storylines and character arcs lasted just long enough to make you feel emotional towards almost everyone when they were either in a pinch during battles or... died. Truly this is a contender for one of the most emotional and best series on this platform, and I can’t wait for season 2!
