  • In this video I try to deal with iron stains in the bathroom porcelain that has been there since we moved in and had to use unfiltered well water causing the orange stains in the sink and toilet...it's not exactly the safest thing to do but I used hydrochloric acid that I had to try and remove hat I could without losing a lung...I also take delivery of a single pontoon for the pond as I begin to collect what I need to build the aerator...I also get a new barbeque plate for our many hot coal Korean style barbq we eat Thai style...

    Playing catch up on your videos. Love the fact you love tinkering rather than just spending money on a solution. 🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋

    Consider recharging your septic after that acid treatment. Not sure how much you introduced but may have affected your microbe counts. Wife uses bleach for cleaning so as a precaution I treat mine monthly (overkill?) to minimize pumping.

    • @unclecraigbaannawk
      @unclecraigbaannawk  Месяц назад

      yeah I thought about that...but then I figured...I ain't going to worry about it...lol...haven't emptied it since it was installed and frankly probably won't for quite a few more years....then it will be an all-day deal...currently the septic guys usually just suck out what they can almost off the top....they don't have the high pressure hose that should be used to blast loose all the hard packed crap so it can be sucked up and emptied proper... sometimes they would need to insert a steel pipe to high pressure mix from the bottom to suck it out right but I believe they don't know that technique...but for now...lol

      @@unclecraigbaannawk I add EM every month to eat the solids. 5 yrs without a pump is SC. Then did it, "just to see". There was almost nothing in it. 2 people on a 500 gal tank.

    When we were in ROI-ET we stayed at a farm and our friend showed me how she makes her own charcoal. If I can find a barrel I'll try and make some. It's not cheap to buy here in Canada. Did you get the cabinet hung?

    • @unclecraigbaannawk
      @unclecraigbaannawk  Месяц назад

      yeah I've been making the charcoal for my water filter...I built the cooker it works great...but now there's not a lot of wood lying around, and I figure if I have to go buy wood to burn it, I might as well let someone else burn it..lol...maybe when the dry season comes I'll have more wood to burn...

    Perhaps use a toilet duck bottle to squirt up under the rim.

    • @unclecraigbaannawk
      @unclecraigbaannawk  Месяц назад +1

      I thought of that but it just going to run down...I think the key is for it is to pool and sit on it....so if I remove the toilet and maybe turn it up maybe I can do it that way...
