  • This is the low resistance solenoid from a Vw 01m transmission. This solenoid is used in n91 and n93 locations. Other vw transmissions like 01P, 096, 098 ect are the same.
    if you would like to purchase solenoids or other 01m small parts visit my website at kansascitytdi.c...

    Hello, do the other type of solenoids need to be able to make that shaking noise as well? The ones with 55-63 ohms. I did not see those being tested so I am just wondering?

    • @CoolAirVw
      @CoolAirVw  11 месяцев назад +1

      sort of. There are better tests than shaking.

    • @trojangpete8

      Well I have done the ohm testing and they meet the criteria. I shake them and they move and then don’t, what else may I try?

    I have a 02 wagon that is sticking in first gear on occasion. I replaced G68 and seemed to be fine for a while but now stuck again. Wondering if this could be the a solenoid in the VB. I have replaced VB in my 01 but that stuck in limp mode 3rd gear. This one is sticking in first gear.

    Hello, we use your written and video resources like a textbook. Thanks for the resources, first of all I wanted to ask you about a subject. G68 voltage in vcds in 01m gearbox 2.48 while driving at idle, the value changes between 2.30 -2.60, there is no fault code, is this part normal or should it be changed, can you help me Thanks .

    • @CoolAirVw
      @CoolAirVw  Год назад

      if there is no fault code why are you looking and questioning other stuff? A better field to look at would be the one that shows the g68 signal. Look at it while driving and it should behave like a speedometer (drive faster and it shows a faster km reading). If that works then no reason to analyze further. Sorry I can't have everything memorized. Honestly I think what your looking at is normal. I can say the field should probably read approximately 2.5v (reference voltage). If its fluctuating while driving I believe that would be because the sensor puts a sinewave on top of the 2.5v and at the peak of the sine wave voltage would be higher and at the low point of the sine wave it would drop the 2.5 down because its "negative voltage". The following would be the video where I most closely address what your saying, but I'm not sure there is a solid answer for you there either. ruclips.net/video/OXj8UqMbh5Y/видео.html

      If you dont have communication with computer then it isn't the solenoid.

    • @CoolAirVw
      @CoolAirVw  2 года назад

      "Thoughts" is a tough question to answer. I'mm not willing to write a 200 word essay, to give you all the background info you would need to understand, and diagnose your issue. I try to answer questions on here, but I cant spend the time unless there is a specific question and I actually know a specific answer. If your question is "do I know what is wrong" the answer is no. My recommendation would be to research, understand how it works, do some tests. Or get it to someone who can.

    Hello sir, I see that you have a lot of experience with the 01m transmission. I have the same one in my 01’ golf 2.0. As a student in Europe you know that funds are low. I have a problem that when I drive the car the transmission slips noticeably on higher rpms. It slips a lot and when it finally changes gear it turns a bit normal with less slippage. Driving 60mph it slips a lot and the engine revs a lot and then the same as before, when it finally changes gear after 30 seconds of almost redlining it goes to lower rpm and then it slips less. What do you think? I can’t find someone here that knows the transmissions. They all want to replace it for 1.5k and if that really is my only option then that would mean I’m going back to driving a bicycle.

    No harm with jumping arc?

    • @CoolAirVw
      @CoolAirVw  2 года назад +2

      no. Some solenoids have a clamping diode but that is to protect the electronincs in the ECU. Cant hurt this solenoid unless you flow too much amperage through it. If this solenoid was equipped with a diode, (its not), you would have to be really careful about reversing the polarity when testing or it would destroy the diode. Ask me how I know. So be careful if your checking any other solenoids. You can use diode check with fluke meter to determine if there is a diode in the solenoid.
