LeBron not beating the Warriors without Kyrie. Imagine if he never got hurt their time in Cleveland. There’s so many what if moments through NBA history
I don't know Nick Wright much as a sport's analyst, but I came up with the same egregious snubs that he has: Sidney Moncrief was a tier one player for 6 seasons on both ends of the court, which a lot of guys on the list can't touch. Even more-so Tracy McGrady, Bernard King, Dwight Howard, and I'll throw in another one- Chris Webber. These were are MVP candidates at some point, and a bunch of guys on the list have never come close to that. There are, of course others. If you want to consider Tony Parker, what about Dennis Johnson, the best player Bird said he ever played with, and that was when he was past his prime. What about Big Bob Lanier, or Alonzo Mourning? What about Grant Hill or David Thompson? Most of these guys were hurt by lack of longevity, or in a few cases by having long careers made up of two phases: Pre and post injury. Who has mostly been left off are players who were tier 1 (top 5 or top 10 in the league) for 5 or 6 years for players who were top 25-30 for a longer period, which isn't very satisfying to me.
They needed to do a better job qualifying what the list is - it is how good players were in respect to their era. If this was the top 75 skilled players ever it would be almost exclusively dudes from the last 20 years plus a few generational guys eg Jordan Kareem Magic.
Kyrie is like the OBJ of football. It’s crazy how one shot or in OBJ’s case (one-hand catch) changed how we view these players. I mean, kyrie was basically nothing without lebron. He will always be a problem wherever he goes. So overrated
Nah it’s people like you that act like Kyrie was just along for the ride when he was a huge part in the Cavs winning. Such a problem that you’ll find it very difficult to find a players that didn’t or don’t like Kyrie
I push against the bottom that Bob Cousy would've been just as big of a star now as he was back then, just because he would've proportionally gotten as good compared to his contemporaries, due to different training. It isn't just about training, it's got to do with the pool.of existing players. It was astronomically smaller back then. Barely anyone played basketball at that time. The game is so international now that the amount of people trying to get in is ridiculous.
No scoring titles, no assist titles, couldn’t lead a team to the playoffs without another star (and a better one at that), no major award votes. If skills, a single title as #2, and the clutch shot of 2016 gets you into the top 75, then sure. I’d take Dwight over him all time

I can name a bunch of ways to compare them. Similar size, both fruits, both have seeds inside of them, orange is a shade from red
Apples to bolling balls made more sense
😂😂 true
“Apples to oranges”, is used when comparing things that are vaguely similar, but a little too different to be directly comparable. “Apples to bowling balls” however, would be used when things are so different that they shouldn’t even be brought up together.
@@northside4767
Most people use apples to oranges to describe huge differences
The show is so good now with Chris Broussard there instead of Brandon
Why did Brandon leave?
Now it’s time to get rid of Nick
I know basketball but I have never in my life ever heard of a dude named Paul Arizin someone please educate me 😂
He played before the basketball bounced I think.
I agree w/ Nick, for like the first time in my life.. Now if we made a 75 most potential seldom lived up to list, Kyrie is on that one...
Didn’t realize fancy dribbling was a criteria. Might as well put in the Professor and other street ballers in.

I would even take Deron Williams over him. At least he lead a team regularly in the loaded west.
Kyrie definitely effects winning. But only If he’s the no.2 guy!
There's a lot of similar players on the list
Even as a number 2 he's doubtful. I personally believe he was great with the Cavs because he was with LeBron. I think no other superstars can win with Kyrie as a No.2.
Other No.2s Can fail to lead the team to much. For example i think Dame would be a great No2. I don't think teams could be better without them though.
@@sanoodilon4563 solid point!
But lebron made the finals the year after they dealt kyrie for nothing. So how impact is he I wonder.
@@ljpal18 It was against the golden state warriors with 4HOF in their prime. They were gonna lose with or without Kyrie

I fkin love that kw doesn't YELL. Thank you
Media Bias and team dynamic effects how players are looked at. Kyrie was better than Steph in the playoffs but no one brings that up.
Kyrie hit 1 shot years ago. Kyrie can’t carry a team, can’t lead a team, doesn’t uplift his teammates. He does not belong on that list. Him being left off is very accurate
Dame can’t either one wcf appearance?
Sorry but , I don’t have Dame over Kyrie
Wildes is hilarious lol
The difference between Kylie and every player mentioned in this segment, both on the 75 list and off of it, I have never seen Kyrie make his teammates better. Rodman, Parish, McGrady, I’ve seen their greatness elevate the play or role of their teammates. Never seen that from Kyrie.
Some of the old heads should have been dropped
@@pleaseshutup7053 But they were great for their time. You can't say well X doesn't shoot 3s like Curry. Well when X played there was no 3 point shot. What were you in your time. Kyrie has never ever been said to be even in the top 5 of his time. So how is this a top 75 player ever when you aren't even the top 5 of your own time. Some players would plug and play from the past easily. Wilt would ruin the NBA now. His skills worked then they'd even be better now with zero centers in the league. As Jerry West said, "if Wilt played today. He'd make a today's NBA centers look pretty foolish." West kind of knows basketball I'd say. Your judge were they great in their time.
At the time he tweeted Iggy must’ve thought the list was active players not all time
I could listen to Nick and Broussard talk ball all day

Kyrie is the people's champ... Kyrie don't care about the system standards. But it's fair to say you can't put him in top 75.. because of all they say. But Kyrie does affect winning. BkN cannot win without him. If we get Kyrie showing up all season it's trouble

And Ray Allen has the most 3 point makes in history.
So? The 3 point shot only came into the lead to 79-80. And now with players only jacking up 3s Allen won't be there long. It's all about jacking up 3s. It doesn't matter if 65% of them are bricks (35% is the league average). Keep jacking them up. You don't win doing it. So it's odd they even do it.
@@larrylindgren9484 none of that takes away from his achievement. And your point is?
Vinc-anity, Bernard King and Dwight Howard should be on this list
There was a time, in 1985, where you could make the argument that Bernard King was the best player in the NBA, if we're talking peaks. He was unstoppable when he won the scoring title. He was an early version of James Harden, except he played from the post/elbow, not from the top
Before he hurt his knee King was a nasty scorer.
So it’s not top 75 NBA players of all time. It’s the top 75 NBA players who were media darlings and kept everything vanilla PC and didn’t hurt anyones feelings. It’s not even about basketball.
The biggest difference is the way carrying and traveling are (not called). Almost all of Kyrie's moves would be whistled if we went by old rules.
Yea but u could say that for everyone in the modern era not just kyrie tho
How is Bernard King not on the list
Take out all of those still playing and put them when they're done.
Kyrie is top 10 team cancer of all time
He's still top 75 he'll wear out dam there every point guard on this list
So why is AD on the list??
While I dont always agree with Broussard (I do more than I dont) I believe he has the best takes in sports. While he is not always the most flashy or entertaining I think he is best at contextualizing situations and giving thorough measured opinions.
How was Kyrie the closer when Lebron had more game winners while they played together? 🤔
Closing a game isn’t always hitting the last shot. Closing a game would be making sure the team wins in a close game.
Hes the third best player in brooklyn.... chris is crazy
Kyrie is definitely top 75
For me it’s simple if dame made it on the list people such as Tmac,Klay Thompson and Dwight Howard SHOULD BE ON THE LIST PERIOD it’s a disgrace to put dame above any of those guys because they’ve all accomplished more than him
Tmac was unbelievable before he was hurt!
If you can make a solid argument of being the greatest of ALL TIME at something (scoring, assists, blocks, etc.) like Kyrie can for having the best handles of all time then you should make this list. Although, he just barely makes it on my list
kyrie may not be top 75 stat-wise, but when kyrie is on the same floor with dame, curry, and any other pg in the league, he's always getting the best of them
They took him off the top 75 because of the Covid if u look it up
See this is the problem they make a list calling it the top 75 greatest but then add some of these old players that they know some of these players after them was better players and dare call it the 75 greatest
Bro that's exactly what I said because technically if you wanna be real this honestly isn't even the REAL top 75 because they didn't even take anyone off just left the same old players on there just added 25 more if it was really about the REAL top 75 then they would take the players off that doesn't belong on there no more because there might be a couple better players now that belong on the list before them I'm just saying how can you have a list like this when they don't even consider taking some of the older players off that probably/most likely wasn't as good as some of the players that didn't and should have made it
You just don't get it. Were you great in your time. The guys from the past were great in their time. Cousy was magical with the basketball for his time. Maybe not for this time but that's not the list. Were you great long enough in your time. Kyrie hasn't been barely good in his time. You can't even say he's be great for even 1 whole year. So yes he shouldn't be on a top 75 player list. It's about who was great for their time. Kyrie has not ever.
@@larrylindgren9484 no it's not about that's it's called "Top 75 Players Of ALL TIME'" stop trying to change the narrative none of that matters what your talking about their are a couple of players that should of been taken off for some other players that deserves to be on their more especially if they saying the best of the best which they are because like said it's called 'Top 75 Players Of ALL TIME" so they should put the pure best no matter the era
Kyrie is in his prime now. 1st 40-50-90 last yr
The had no chance to win more chips in Cleveland bc Love's contract would have dragged the team down and it was doing before Bron left...unless they chose not to extend him. But still, it's tough to get people to come to Cleveland

Yes, but also a problem for making sure the NBA screens it’s players to have at least an elementary school education with a 4th grade reading and comprehension level
Kyrie place in history is there but not among all time greats
How about Alonzo Mourning, Kevin Johnson, etc
uncle Drew is TOP 50! I prefer to see a Kyrie game than to see many who are in that top 75 play. It's like when I prefer to see MJ than Magic or Bird.
basketball is entertainment and there are players who take it to another level.

No way Kyrie over Klay foh
People talk about kyrie not being able to lead a team to a chip. He only had 2 seasons to do so. But i’ve never seen dame in the finals, never seen cp3 win a chip, never seen russ lead a team to the finals as the number 1 option for their entire careers. So stop using this argument please
Cp3 and dame never had Lebron or KD on their team.
If SAS was on this show and hear Nick's ANALYSIS of Kyrie and the 0 vote thing, I guarantee you SAS would walk out and yell and call his take an analysis
A lot of good points. I'm not sure what to think anymore.
Kyrie made 50 point games in cleveland and made the shot to win in the finals, they didn't win just because they had Lebron, Kyrie was the first pick in the draft, Kyrie is not only the best handler in the NBA.

Kyrie is top 50 players in nba history are you kidding me him and ray Allen I will take kyrie all the time
I don't know Nick Wright much as a sport's analyst, but I came up with the same egregious snubs that he has: Sidney Moncrief was a tier one player for 6 seasons on both ends of the court, which a lot of guys on the list can't touch.
Anytime kyrie has been the best player on a team is team is a lottery team. He ain't even close

As a celtics fan, there is no way kyrie should be on this list
Dwight...when prime was the best defender in the history of the league. He was downright scary. How is he not on this list
No Wilt was the best defensive player in league history. There's Wilt and a long way back to number 2.
Only number 1 options should be on the top 75 list.
They needed to do a better job qualifying what the list is - it is how good players were in respect to their era. If this was the top 75 skilled players ever it would be almost exclusively dudes from the last 20 years plus a few generational guys eg Jordan Kareem Magic.
This right here!!! Dudes on this list couldn't beat my local high-school squad let alone hold a candle to someone of Kyrie's skill level
Kyrie an all star b4 bron but...
Where obj now think before you talk bro
I’d take Dwight over him all time
how do you guys think Damian Lillard deserved to be on this list but not Kyrie?
Not saying kyrie shouldn't be considered... But there's a lot more people that id consider over him
