    My love of the 92x P deefensive over the m9a3 really comes down to the frame safety and the gas pedal. 1911 style, I really force my right thumb down on it for extra leverage, and the same with the gas pedal. My groupings when I'm measuring splits are noticeably better, the dot bounces less, and I feel more confident in the gun.

    M9A4 enters the chat... If the M9A3 is the Enzo then the A4 must be the F8 Tributo, lol... Beretta nailed it with this one. Got mine new for $860 in 2023. Absolutely beautiful gun. Also, QVO tactical does make iwb kydex holsters for the a3 with or without light. My a4 centurion fits the a3 holster no problem. I edc appendix mine with a light.

    4:53 As someone who owns a 92X (with the FS decocker), I will tell you right now: this is not a valid concern. Period. Having a proper grip on the slide will make this a moot point, and even if that did happen, it's as simple as pushing the knuckle of your thumb half an inch up (so don't come at me complaining about the slide-mounted decocker, 1911 boomers).

    Beretta "missed the boat" on the frame-mounted safety ... which, btw, is just the recreation of the original Beretta 92's safety.
    Forjas Taurus, which bought Beretta's Brazilian factory, "lock, stock and barrel" once Beretta's contract to produce pistols for the Brazilian military ended, always kept the original frame location for the safety on their PT92 pistols, redesigned their frame-mounted safety to include a Decocker function: far superior to the original and "new" Beretta frame safety.

      I don’t know I like the non decock. But this 92x safety is kind of too big in the wrong areas

    • @johnjohnsn7633
      @johnjohnsn7633 2 года назад

      @@flyinfr33domfreedom2: Next time you are at a gun show, try the safety system of a "PT"-Series Single/Double Action Taurus and you'll see the advantage over the "old" and "new"(X) Beretta system, where you have to pull the trigger in order lower the hammer.

  • @richardgreene6810
    @richardgreene6810 2 года назад

    I dunno. I should think that with 17+1 rounds, I'm not going to worry that much about inadvertently actuating the safety while racking the slide. If I can't get out of any self-defense problem quick enough with 18 rounds of 9mm, I shouldn't be using a handgun in the first place. So, that first time racked, with one in the chamber, and the safety on should be enough to get a self-defense job done.

    • @flyinfr33domfreedom2
      @flyinfr33domfreedom2  2 года назад

      If you’re talking about the M9a3 specifically (like I think you are) then I agree 100% but still in competition or military ( where this stems from ) it could be a minor concern

    • @richardgreene6810
      @richardgreene6810 2 года назад +1

      @@flyinfr33domfreedom2 Yes, I'm sure this was a concern strictly for competitors. For the military it is considered a side arm, and I don't know of any reports of soldiers losing lives due to the safety being inadvertently engaged in a re-rack.
