I recall seeing this on the news when it aired. I was only 20 back then and working in a factory and I also recall this wall of death report being the topic of conversation in the canteen during the break. Little did I know then that a few years later I would be a motorcycle cop myself in Limerick and still riding motorbikes today at 63.
Of course the boys had to go one better than Evel Knievel, by hopping in a rocket bike and firing over Glendalough powered by poteen, the vapours knocked them out, so they didn't know what hit them.... Brockagh mountain! BANG!! ⛰️🔥😀

I saw these lads perform back in the day, during the Rose of Tralee festival. The good old days. When the festival was a serious session

Them boys built a new updated wall of death a year ago, never lost it!
I read that title as Riding the Whale of Death........coincidentally that was my nanna's nickname.

To all the generation z we were well able to entertain ourselves without internet back then.
Where are these lads now ? Fair play to them all the same.
And, after a lot of argument, much of it circular, Mexico paid for it.
They later rebranded the wall of death as Supermacs.
Back in the days when there was literally f%ck all to do...
You know people existed happily for literally years before and without social media right!?
@@kitsilanomusician2669 Of course, but you clearly have no idea what life was like in Ireland in the 70's and 80's
