nice work! if the combustion data is right and is showing peak pressure technically you could scope that with crank position and get pretty close with mbt.

It would be nice to get an actual graph shot of the raw ion signal vs the knock signal. It looks like the green combustion signal always trigger at a fixed threshold of the raw signal which is why it sometimes sends two pulses. I might try to probe my 9-3 as well as my 9000 with my big oscilloscope later to see the signal difference. I don't remember if the DI cassette even outputs any raw signal

So does the external cdm module sense for each cylinder or does it only sense for 1 cylinder? Also why not convert to external cop setup instead of stock pencil design.

External cdm module is sensing for all cylinders, at this point I am only looking to analyze one.
"external coil on plug setup" not sure what you mean?

2003 Mazda Miata 1.8 VVT Automatic running on rusEfi open source ECU.
Engine coolant temperature 100C, ambient temperature 4C, violent 40 degrees advance from 1500 RPM to 3500 RPM timing table.
Detonation is audible in 2000-4000 range with 50% throttle pulls from parked.
Detonation is also audible while parked, revving with brakes applied in "D" gear selector.

@@Rusefi Did you have to do something with the fuel? when we tried it did not do any detonation.

@@yurishnirman3847 Nope, same fuel as before. Looks like important thing was NOT too rev it too high or quickly so that you can still hear things.
