Thank you for sharing. That LVP looks very authentic like you said and I'm sure it's a great choice for a lot of people. That said, here are my thoughts for me personally. First, I have luxury vinyl that my wife and I installed. It was supposed look like stone and originally it looked pretty good, but as I got used to it, it started looking faker and faker with time. Now everytime I see LVP, including wood (even in this video), I can tell the difference. Over time, for someone like me anyway, all LVP will start looking more and more artificial. It's like getting used to special effects over time. Jurassic Park used to look perfect when it was first released in the early 1990's, but now it pales in comparison to modern CGI.
Second, you admitted you liked the authenticity of real wood even better but that it's not worth having to resand & refinish the wood every 4, 5 or 6 years. As you pointed out, however, the particular LVP you're sharing has as distressed look. In other words, it looks similar to what wood floors would look like when they become naturally distressed. Personally, I like the distressed look for all the reasons you stated (and am willing to wait for it over time and enjoy the fresh look of new wood floors in the interim). In fact, if you watch Downton Abbey and look at those wonderful wood floors which are likely well over a century old, they are incredibly distressed yet they look fantastic in my opinion! Wood looks better to me whether it is pristine and newly installed or it's highly distressed over time. So for me, it comes down to price. If I can afford wood I would choose it every time, no questions asked. But if I can't afford real wood, then LVP is an acceptable alternative. Anyway, thanks again for sharing.

Sure is better then hardwood. Have both. MY hardwood, dented from misc things in life, and hard to repair. Scratchs are a pain. I mean you can be as careful as you want, and life just happens. LVP, no problems, and way easier to repair and replace
