    One thing I haven't heard mentioned is that I think kyxsan and NiKo would probably work well together since they're both Balkan/from ex-Yugoslavia. Obviously not a guarantee but think people from those countries feel an affinity for each other since they share cultures and language. I think Kassad had a point on HTPM where he suggested Falcons getting kyxsan and having a team with kyxsan, NiKo, and maden plus some others which just seemed like he was subconsciously making a Balkan team.

    very good show, thx. Nice to see a complete episode about 1 subject - an especially interesting subject right now, ofc - but u get the chance to go in deapth, many, many good points and observations For example, the comparison of Zonic to Pep - and the way to coach an experienced star team is maybe not the same as having many young players to coach, is rly good. Looking forward to seeing how many of your predictions come true :) btw don't think its Zonics last year in Falcons, no matter what. But ThechGirls points are othervise just on point - ppl with much money, huge investments, also wants huge returns!

    Carlos famously said to his players that he would replace you if you weren’t up to their level but in addition to this he would always put the best of the best players around you in order to win. G2 is supposed to be the Real Madrid, players like Niko should never want to leave if the team is managed like Carlos says. They have in their hands the future of cs (mONESY) and they can’t manage to keep him happy? I guess it’s a hard situation, who do you even get to replace Niko even if you had the money from falcons. This might be a down period for G2 cs.

    Love the vid.
    On Monesy joining my personal theory is that G2 is waiting for the 2nd season to sell him to Falcons for a couple of reasons (IF monesy surely wants to leave):
    1, they wanna make the first major for the sticker money 100%
    2, If G2 has some big tournament wins maybe they can convince him not to leave
    3, they couldnt sell him now since no good replacement AND they wanna stay relevant as a team
    4, they still can get money just less if they sell him then (but with the sticker money its 100% more than selling him now and lose the stickers).
    But its very bad outlook that G2's biggest problem isnt even snax-Taz but Peca and the management.

    Here are 2 scenarios I can Imagine why G2 doesn't sell Monesy now.
    1. They think they can win with this lineup, and if they win, they can convince Monesy to stay and sign an extension. Which I feel is delusional
    2. The offers they are getting for Monesy has been shit, they can make enough money from sponsors and other off the server revenue to feel that keeping Monesy and selling Monesy will bring similar amount of revenue for the org. Which there is no way that's true right? Surely you can get a huge buyout for Monesy if you sell him.
    Or maybe the G2 management is just incompetent, and they cant see what everyone else sees. Idk

Every org would pay a good salary to m0nesy instead of Niko. m0nesy is younger, more consistent the whole year, really good attitude and young. I can't understand the point about w0nderful at 22:00 since he really has not proven himself especially choking consistently in big finals (including the major) while b1t and jL had to basically carry him. He is literally OUTSIDE the top10 players despite massive buff of playing for the literal team of the year! Yes, riflers matter more in CS2 but the dropoff in moments that mattered was too brutal IMO.
    I think the real reason is that s1mple is simply too corrosive and would destroy NAVI from the inside, like everything blade and aleksib built would not be possible with s1mple in the team.
    NAVI desperately need an elite awper but s1mple will never be the solution unfortunately. He is no longer at the goated level but his intangibles are just as corrosive as always. An impossible equation and I worry about the continuation of his career.

    Honestly the Niko move is 90% about the bag. Falcons have the strategy of being a retirement home of legendary players/coaches. Zonic used to be great, but who knows if he's got it still. If you make that argument about Cadian (6 months on a cool down being questionable) where the hell do you put Zonic's form at? Falcons have also made the point in mismanaging the roster and doing terrible job at doing player changes. Falcons just look to be another top 20 team with great presonalities that play avarage as a team. Nothing against taking the bag but is slightly dissapointing in seeing one of the best in esports giving up on winning championships.

    I feel the answer for Jimmy and M0nesy not signing for falcons is straightforward VALVE RANKINGS, if they had signed them falcons would have had to play tier 2 for 6 months because of not signing a core and they would be ranked outside top 32. That is also the reason Jimmy and M0nesy said no to falcons as they would be playing in a lower tier than their previous teams. But next season or after 6 months (after the 1st major) falcons will surely be inside top 10 or top 15 at the worst. And falcons will be able change 2 players and still be top 20. Which means then falcons will be able to sign Jimmy and M0nesy and still be eligible to play all the top events as they are not changing 3 players.

  • @ropogop
    @ropogop 10 дней назад

    @14:00 To call himself "The Bag" and then deliver nothing is a bit fraudulent. Ok, they got a major by beating tier 2 teams after they changed to Apex' preferred style. Zonic has a strong legacy ofc after changing the whole paradigm with astralis back in 2018 or something but it has been only downhill for a long time now. He is the Mourinho of cs, just a little bit more delusional maybe.

  • @murloc2129
    @murloc2129 11 дней назад +2

    Even though I am not a fan of Niko, I am disappointed. For me this team is closer to the tier 1.5 garbage than to the top team. Heroic showed really good cs on the major, but the whole season they didnt even play like tier 1 team. Now they add there Niko, who is 100% not happy with what is going on and magisk who is good, but already old player who might lack motivation for building new top roster. Is it stronger than previous G2? Hell no, they dont even look better than this G2 roster with Heavy. So it looks like either Niko went for the bag or he was scammed (or did a bad decision, up to you). Just Niko is not enough for top players to join this team. So in my opinion, if Niko wanted to change the roster and win the major, he would join already top tier teams: Vitality, Faze, Navi, even Mouz: so many options. But he chooses this money bag with doubtful perspectives and bad reputation

    • @okx8805
      @okx8805 11 дней назад

      Falcons inflated the market with massive buyouts and salaries and they still failed to build a solid team even with this amout of money. There are rumors that Niko is earning 90-100K and is the best payed player , compared to g2 (60k) it’s 50% more doing the same job. Top teams try to build a team while falcons wants to buy whole teams. Niko was probably aware that they won’t get in this short time good players (ewjerkz, jambo rumor) but still decided to take the bag.tbf we are all human and players can’t play their whole life but dislike this move as cs fan is in my opinion normal

    I think falcons will fail again mainly due to zonic having a hissy first with the heroic players making mistakes because they aren't they players he wanted then he'll say the reason he didn't do anything again is because he didn't get his pieces. Zonic isn't a fraud but if he doesn't get the bits he likes he won't give 100% and coast on his previous results at other orgs

      It's something we chat about during the podcast - coaches who can coach top players and those that can build inexperienced ones. This is zonic's opportunity to showcase he can do both

      @TechGirlZA be very interesting to see if he can but he reminds me of pep guardiola, great manager but he doesn't develop players into top 5 teams he takes top 5 teams to number 1

      I don't think you can really call any of the players on this Falcon lineup inexperienced at this point, they've all been in deep major playoffs.

      @@TechGirlZA He already had that opportunity for a year though and failed for a year while literally being demonstrated to be awful at the inter-personal side of coaching, berating his players in front of each other (emasculating one in front of the others causing a gap to open up between them, damages synergy and comfort and makes the team worse than if they had no coach at all). If any other coach in any other org in the world was given pieces as reasonable as he had for a full year (and S1mple lol) and made them like HLTV 1784th or whatever in the world lmao they'd be turbo-fired. Fired out of a fucking cannon at a wall. Bro won a load of majors in a completely different game in the best team ever with the best IGL ever potentially doing all the work and cruises off the back of that like it matters in a new game with a new meta with an expectation that he does his job.
      I get that we can't know how much work he was/wasn't doing in Astralis but the theoretical of having a god IGL with a perfectly synergised team running a new style of CS that dominates the game does allow for a literal irrelevant coach. Like in that theoretical, Ohnepixel could be a 4x major winning coach at that point. I just fail to see how winning majors has much-anything to do with your individual performance at a role. Chances of winning tournaments increase with skill but the skill is seperate in the same way I'm a lot more likely to lose a game of Poker to Phil Ivey than to win it, but it's still RNG and I could still just get dealt dream hands and win.
      It's obviously a lot easier for us to look at a player like Niko and say "He's won no majors but look how good he's clicking people, he's great" or Fifflaren and be like "He's won a major but uh... He's not the greatest player in the world..." but you kinda gotta do the same with coaches to a degree I feel. We can't just look at results and directly extrapolate skill levels. I get that I'm a Zonic and Falcons hater but for me all he proved is he can get carried and fluke some majors, then when given a team that normal coaches have to work with all he does is actively detriment them by his existence, have tantrums like an infant and blame the players for him being incompetent. I guess now he has Mouse but much better cuz it has Niko we can see whether he makes them a top 5 team or not because if they're not he's just straight up shit at his job. Fraud.

    In the same way that I believe Gla1ve cannot be the GOAT IGL because he only ever was dominant with the same lineup, I believe Zonic cannot be the GOAT coach based on what he's done at Falcons. He's definitely not a fraud, but he is now significantly behind b1ade for me.

    I want to say Niko wants a team that is new and he prob lost faith to the organization. So I was not surprised when the CEO did that interview + when Niko lost to the major... I was like "Ok I see why Niko wants to go to Falcons he prob want to win the Major with a different new team." So I have nothing to say about Niko and I want to say good luck to him. I enjoyed Niko's game but I don't understand why people say Niko is getting the bag, I seen him being top 4 HLTV he still has that passion even though he still has that small slump until ESL Pro League.

    I find it a bit weird to hear Austin say that this Falcons lineup would beat Heroic, and perhaps beat FaZe, because they have Niko and Magisk. G2 had Niko, m0nesy and malbs, which is a ludicrous amount of star power and that wasn't enough to beat FaZe. Surely where Falcons "beats" the G2 lineup is the tactical ability.

    Yea idk why everyone wants Niko to stay. He’s been in the team for 4 YEARS and won half the trophies he did at faze while NEVER ONCE getting a competent igl that could create a real SYSTEM. As a result they rely solely on individual overpower and that’s never gonna be consistent. He’s watched blade create a much more consistent TEAM and SYSTEM with way worse players that is more successful in less time
