I did 5 days pilgrim path here in CZ with 8 others and it was as amazing as yours journey, except we had cold and rainy weather this whole time! And we slept in tents 😢there was tears and 5 blisters also included! But! I want to do it again! Totally! I'm happy for you and I hope that yours next journey will be also documented. Had to comment Catherine, I’ve done the Camino twice and although I’m in my sixties I’ve always had a hankering to do a wee bit again, so had a hunt on about a week’s worth, settled with sarria to Santiago, seems spot on, leaving round about the 25th September, anyhoo your blog/ vlog was the first i hit on YT, loved it, made me cast my mind back to my first one and the leap you take in yourself to give it a bash, anyway well done, highly entertaining and enjoyable to watch, Buen Camino Catherine

Wow .. that's so inspiring. I'll be walking solo from Sarria to Santiago end of May this year (6 days) and am getting a bit anxious of travelling across the continent from Asia to Europe alone and doing this walk alone (not knowing what to expect). Your video gives me the courage as well. And hopefully and praying hard that won't get blisters. Thank you so much for the awesome sharing.
Aw this gives me joy, you will have a wonderful time. You are never alone on Camino, and you will have lots of people to chat to along the way if you wish to. Everyone is really friendly. I recommend proper walking shoes, as I was wearing trainers, so walking shoes seem to hep more with blisters and thick blister socks too.

So, I’m at the part of the video where ur in the “haunted” hotel and my rottweiler, Thor, was sound asleep snoring at my feet. U had just closed the wardrobe saying if it opened in the night, u were out of there and he sat straight up and barked. I think he thinks it’s haunted too. Scared me to death and it’s middle of the afternoon daylight here in Tx. I jumped straight up when he barked and my heart is beating furiously lol! 🤣🤣🤣

Plus listening to your adventures is always amazing. You really did well to walk with sore feet , if my feet are in any discomfort I’m a bear with a sore head 😖. The churches any where do draw me in , even as a child a could fine a church and feel so happy. Most kids would be at the arcade on holidays but If I went missing I could easily be found. Never mind fashion a white pair of crock’s on that last day was all you needed to go to Mass and enjoy getting gifts. Wow Catherine, you are amazing. Thank you for sharing your solo adventures. It encourages other women to go out and explore this amazing world we live in. The El Camino is on my bucket list so I really appreciate this video for your first hand account. Any advice for training for such a trek?
My best advice would be to lengthen your walks, so one week do 5km a day, then next week try to build up to 10k every other day. Also, try to walk hills and trails as each walk on the camino is up and down, so try not to walk on the flat road, head to the hills and do some hiking. And most of all, have fun on your walks x
I finally got to watch this one - it's a bit longer than your usual ones. This was a beautiful spiritual journey, I can see why you wanted to experience the adventure. The certificate is beautiful & hope you frame it for display. I'd never heard of this pilgrimage walk before so appreciate you sharing the experience. And....yes the last hotel was probably haunted; if it was a former hospital, lots of energy in that building. Lovely towns and villages. Great video.

Hi Julianne, yes, I was never alone on my journey as lots of pilgrims walk each day. There was always someone in front or behind of me, and lots of friendly people in the cafes, restaurants etc.

I envy how confident you are travelling alone 🥰. I went to Cannes a few years ago and got my suitcase, passport stolen and my life saving meds. The stress was unreal and I was alone aswell. Keep your wits about you at all times!! Cost me a fortune to get home and was overall a horrific experience lol. Good for you for travelling alone though 👏. Also I loved the pinwheel marigolds. I have them in my garden in yellow and maroon.

Plus listening to your adventures is always amazing. You really did well to walk with sore feet , if my feet are in any discomfort I’m a bear with a sore head 😖.
The churches any where do draw me in , even as a child a could fine a church and feel so happy. Most kids would be at the arcade on holidays but If I went missing I could easily be found.
Never mind fashion a white pair of crock’s on that last day was all you needed to go to Mass and enjoy getting gifts.

Wow Catherine, you are amazing. Thank you for sharing your solo adventures. It encourages other women to go out and explore this amazing world we live in. The El Camino is on my bucket list so I really appreciate this video for your first hand account. Any advice for training for such a trek?
My best advice would be to lengthen your walks, so one week do 5km a day, then next week try to build up to 10k every other day. Also, try to walk hills and trails as each walk on the camino is up and down, so try not to walk on the flat road, head to the hills and do some hiking. And most of all, have fun on your walks x
I finally got to watch this one - it's a bit longer than your usual ones. This was a beautiful spiritual journey, I can see why you wanted to experience the adventure. The certificate is beautiful & hope you frame it for display. I'd never heard of this pilgrimage walk before so appreciate you sharing the experience. And....yes the last hotel was probably haunted; if it was a former hospital, lots of energy in that building. Lovely towns and villages. Great video.
Aww this was great thank you,my husbands family are from Santiago Compostela and I have been many times. The old town is so beautiful and the surrounding forestry.

Hi Julianne, yes, I was never alone on my journey as lots of pilgrims walk each day. There was always someone in front or behind of me, and lots of friendly people in the cafes, restaurants etc.

I'm Aussie and have never heard of the Camino but if I was physically able to (I've a bad back and use a walking frame) I would totally do it. All the places along the way look so beautiful and the rooms were gorgeous!!

I envy how confident you are travelling alone 🥰. I went to Cannes a few years ago and got my suitcase, passport stolen and my life saving meds. The stress was unreal and I was alone aswell. Keep your wits about you at all times!! Cost me a fortune to get home and was overall a horrific experience lol. Good for you for travelling alone though 👏. Also I loved the pinwheel marigolds. I have them in my garden in yellow and maroon.
I did the camino six years ago and it is an amazing experience! I went with a friend but I wish I had done it solo! So glad you did this. 💗🧡💗
