I immediately hit the like button as soon as you said "Not everyone has access to power tools" Thank you so much to have put that into consideration. 🧡
Hey Jorge !! I’m so happy ! I just discover your channel !! I love what your do ! Thank you for sharing your passion with us !! Send you my best greetings from Paris, Sergio 👋🏻👋🏻
The marble one is fire and the easiest to make! I would have glued the pieces to the edges of the top then filled in the sides with grout! Then the top piece would be flush! I love it and I’m gonna make tons of them for my mom’s 60th birthday…. Thanks for sharing! 💙
Love it! Please do a faux fireplace surround and mantel next please ! They are crazy expensive. Costing thousands. Can you do a sleek modern one and and French Venetian style?
Tu me inspirastes.. tenía un espacio en mi casa donde no quería poner ni una silla ni una mesa. Y una columna de esa me va quedar espectacular en ese espacio. Gracias
Hi jorge my God! Im glad i found u... i been having pedestal in my carts includes in west elm cb2 etc but way so expensive and found ur channel searching in yt and thank u so much i am making this
I enjoy watching your DIY’s! You are so creative - I also made my own pedestal because the one I wanted was way over $200 - it actually turned out pretty good. You are very inspirational I may need to invest in power tools.
Good morning Jorge. I believe acrylic paint is the right way to go. I painted some 4“ x 4“ tiles with acrylic paint in abstract designs to give away as coasters, and they have held up very well. As always, I enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing.
I would love your ideas on how to make these for landscaping, and protect for spring/ summer/ fall seasons... I'm learning so much & appreciate you sharing your talent.
Hola Jorge! Últimamente estoy muy enganchada con tu canal, me gusta mucho tu estilo de decoración y tus explicaciones. Además, tu inglés suena muy lindo. Saludos desde México.
I LOVE that you’re a Mexican American like myself who loves decor and modern and high end decor it isn’t super common in our culture to be minimalist so to me you’re so relatable and I wish I was your friend lol 😂
Recently found you and I’m obsessed! Your home, your style and your vision is my taste to a T (if I could just move in please! 😆) Thank you for existing and sharing these DIY videos with us! I’m definitely attempting this project very soon. Love from 🇬🇧
For some reason I thought of that banana duct taped to canvas that sold for tons of money, during your into. I'm going to make one of these pillars and put a fake banana on it so I can here people ohh and awwww it. Lmao. Love your channel btw I love mixing and matching decors to see people responses. Like farm house decor on industrial shelves.
How about making the pillar a little bigger around with one side open and small wheels on the bottom for a broom and mop closet and their accessories? I want to see how it would look and work out to have the opening against the kitchen wall.
I love all of your projects. I am building my house and I gotten lots of inspiration from your projects. I will like to know if you can do some kitchen inspiration or any diy. My decor style is like yours. Thanks.
I just received the current CB2 catalog and I am in love!!!! I'm seeing so much modern deco inspiration and silver metal bases and decor. Please I'd love to see your take on a piece with silver metal or their half circle fluted side tables that come in two heights and if put together are stunning!! U are extremely talented btw!! We are moving & I will be doing a few of your tutorials for our new condo! Thx!
Thanks. You gave me an idea for some scrap wood, tile, brackets, and screws. Like the plaster idea. 💡 ohhhhh, that marble table is striking! 😍 Ahhhhh, great idea for the grecian column. You took it a few steps further than everyone else! I'm going to make a couple for my garden. You really put a lot of work into your channel. I appreciate the web channel that listed competitive prices for ready made columns. I've also been interested learning french and Italian. I'll check into your sponsor today.
Do you have any tutorials for something to put a standard ikea like (tempered glass shelves/walls and wood base/top) display case on? I have one that I want to raise up like you see at action figure conventions.
Now that you've had the columns for a while, I have some questions as I think I want to try myself. On the second pedestal, do you think it would be beneficial to add support brackets to the corners on the inside? Also, on the round column, would it be stronger if an additional wood round was installed in the middle on the inside or is it strong enough as is? Thank you!
I was thinking the same. I worked at an art gallery for several years and the carpenters glued supports in the corners generally a square dowel the entire length minus 3 or inches on the bottom for hidden wheels. And the rounds usually had an “x” or 2 inserted on the inside to maintain the shape. But we had to use these for years. Very curious to know how these are fairing!
Niceeee. I've always wanted to make a couple to use as plant stands. I have a request for an architectural DIY, that I was too chicken to try. I would like to add some pillars to my house, especially in an opening into a room or entrance way. Free stranding pillars, and some that are attached to a wall. Maybe some that are half round. I would like to see them extend from floor to ceiling. Surprise me. Thanks.
very nice work. do you have any ideas for creating taller columns? like 10ft? want them to be somewhat portable also. these will be used on stage as props in a theater.
looks great. only thing i would say is the drywall spackle on the wood will eventually separate as the wood cures and shrinks or expands due to humidity. it's made for drywall, which will not change dimension along with humidity. use epoxy wood filler instead.
GORGEOUS pieces! I just came upon your channel, & I ❤️DIY decor, so I viewed your listing & HAD to subscribe! You’re so talented & creative! I’m looking forward to learning a lot more from you! THANK YOU for sharing your time, talent, knowledge, works of art with us all, so we may learn from you! Sending you & yours hugs & 💕 (in today’s world we could all use more of both)! 😘
What cement you better recommend to use I'm in Canada I want to know which cement in general grey or white the brand and type and which type of sand is better to use.if you can give some recommendation is good
Hi, nice work there but I think the column could have benefitted with another round top like the base. But hey, it's still a great idea and I am so going to try it. Love the cement paint idea.
Jorge, it turned out amazing as usual 🤩. I always enjoy watching your videos. And for anyone interested in Babel, I have tried it myself and it’s a great app. My native language is also spanish, but wanted to try and learn another language so I went for Portuguese which was really fun. Jorge, thanks again for your tips, DIY’s and making it fun. Have a great week 🥰
? I'm just saying I love this video so much because you announced that there were going to be no power tools used or needed and you certainly did keep your promise you were honest about it you were an honest person you did not use any power tools did you

Same here. I made a pedestal for outdoors, but the extreme desert heat just ended up trashing it 🫤
Hola Jorge!

I feel inspired to make one
The round one is my fave! All are beautiful and easy.

Will you design pedestal out of concrete for outside statues. Thanks, they are to expensive for my budget.
hi Jorge! what's the link to the round / circle wood for project #3? the link did not work. thanks!
Fabulous Jorge as usual. Thanks for the inspo!
How do you secure the vase on the pedestal? So it doesn't get knocked off, but also so it can be removed without damaging the pedestal or the vase.
