Dimensions of pedestals:
Large column: 13x13x30 inches
Smaller size column: 13x13x22 inches
Materials used:
Eight 1/2 inch 3Way PVC Fittings
Two 1/2 inch PVC pipes (10ft pipes cut into four 30" and Eight 10" lengths)
12x12 inch flat board from Lowes. (I cut a 2x2ft flat board into 4 quarters)
Gold adhesive trim
4 white dollar tree foam boards
Hot glue gun.
PVC cutter
Measuring tape
Box cutter

Wow. That was genius. I like gold and so I would wrap the columns in gold reflective paper and change the paper to color coordinate with my theme. I love this.

I love these. I am doing my father's ceremony at the nursing home. And I am trying to make it look classy. I was trying to think of something I could put the cakes on. I think I would add a brace in the middle somewhere but these are awesome.

Holy wow these are great!!! Needed an alternative to wood pedestal for the gallery area of my new art studio! I was thinking pvc pipe! But, got stuck there -- thought of card board boxes (i recycle and have a ton -- lols) !!! Foam board for the win! And the gold ribbon tape genius!!! ty ty ty ty ty

Hi Brittney! Yes they're very sturdy for treats, desserts and small cakes. I have used them for large ceremony floral arrangements too.

I would have preferrd a clear cover. Like plexi glass or uou can use plastic light covers for croking lights so you csn use lights insude the columns snd civer eith sheer fabrics

Hi. I'm sure you can do that if you use contact paper. The foam boards come only in white and black.

I love to use hot glue for mody of my projects because it dries up very fast. Probably UHU or cold glue may work too.

Hi all. I'm from south africa, I've searched everywhere, from hardware stores to arts and crafts stores, no one knows what foam board is... is there perhaps another name for it? Does anyone know where I can find this item?

Hello Nevashree. Its probably called something else in your location. But you know what, dont sweat it. If you can find a large moving box that is sturdy, you can cut the flat surfaces and glue them on the structure like I did in the video, then you can cover the front with vinyl, white contact paper, or even metallic gold paper if you have it in your area.
