This is around the time they were about to brake up. I'm guessing Wes sang Master of Puppets to show Fred he hasn't been given enough credit for all the band's songs including nookie. Its why Fred said "shut the fuck up" after Wes finished with "Obey your master" Too bad they didn't come to an understanding cus they got back together after loosing a couple of years of touring and potential for new music. This is the result of not speaking up and the lack of communication.
