- Welcome to Hogwarts Legacy, I've been keeping an eye on this game for a while. Even though I have never been a huge fan of this series, I'm a sucker for well-made adaptations. So far, the game has been a lot of fun, there are many things do it as well as the gameplay loop itself being rewarding. So far so good, let me know what you think, thanks for watching :D

The combat is very satisfying. I'd love to see more video like this. Just pure action, no commentary.
The world building is extremely well done but all the high level gameplay I've seen are the same combination with the same limited number of spells. It would have been nice if they went beyond a conservative Hogwarts adaptation and went much further in expanding the kind of combat spells you can cast. I would find myself getting bored very quickly with the combat and only really play for the atmosphere.
I prefer with commentary actually,, I like someone explain everything I don't know, tell them story and feeling
Wow... wasn't expecting this today. I'm honestly not even a Harry Potter fan, haven't seen a film or read any of the books, but this looks like such a genuinely well crafted open world game in an ever growing library I might just buy it haha

I bought the deluxe edition for myself and gifted the regular edition to a friend earlier today and I just wanted to see what I was getting myself into. Looks like an RPG on on an Elden Ring scale and I can’t wait for it to download so I can dive into it. Thanks for the quick glimpse into the game🤘🏾

Okay i was kinda on the fence but now seeing your gameplay I'm convinced. I gotta get it. I won't get it now I don't think (saving up some space for some other games) but definitely when it goes on like sale.

My finger is itching on clicking the pre order button. I'm waiting for another 2-3 more reviews before making the move though. But so far, its looking good.
Should've went with a WoW/Runescape layout. Huge opportunity missed imo. I can't see this franchise coming out with multiple games like Elden ring or the Last of Us.

Awesome gameplay as usual! Which house did you choose? The house determines what abilities you are able to unlock? I don't know much about harry potter and this game, but it looks really fun, thinging about buying it.
House chooses where you stay in Hogwarts, I chose slytherin. It doesn't matter too much what you choose you can unlock what you want no matter where you stay. It's mainly a cosmetic choice.

Combat looks pretty cool. For anyone playing it I have a few questions if you can help: 1) Are the fights shown here early and therefore the AI is more passive? Because they did not seem to engage very well so the combat looked a bit easy. 2) Is the spell/skill tree deep enough that you can do multiple play throughs with very different feeling play styles?
The game has been out for a while now. What I can say is that its quite similar to the NPCs in Spider-Man and Arkham Series. Need to be more aware when more of them are around u. Still not sure on (2) yet.
In most battles, they do nothing while you just spam the same spells.

May look good, but the dialog and the lack of consequences makes the game not good enough. Killing someone and then back to school? Funny shit.

I think I may have a problem. I don't have the same particles effects as you when you fight. The spell is just a line, no sparkles. Is because of RTX?

I'll be honest, some months ago i didn't had any interest at all in trying this game.
But after watching some gameplay fragments out of curiosity, i have to admit that this game looks absolutely incredible and fun.
I've just bought the deluxe edition few hours ago, and can't wait anymore for the download to be finally completed in 5 hours.
(Yeah, my internet connection is shit)
The only downside for me, is that difficulty of enemy encounters looks quite low.
Its more challeging than it looks trust me. I was doing the main quest yesterday and i came across a spider enemy that one one shot me if i didnt dodge at the right time. And the only way i could kill it easier was using another enemies attack to keep casted stupify on it. It took 2 ancient magic attacks to kill it. And if u dont know it takes abit to build that up. Sometimes there will be enemies that are 10 levels above u, that u can still kill, u just have to work harder to kill them. I even fought one boss in the main quest that ended up spending all of my potions fighting it. Felt like a dark souls fight. Bare mind i had decent equipment for my level, and the difficulty is only on normal.

I wish you could challenge any student to a duel like in Order of the Phoenix.
Hit a student a few times & they'll actually challenge you to duel. That was on PS3, of course. Was always fun to wipe the smirks off Slytherin students' faces.
Oh man I had my doubts about the world design when I heard who were the studios working on this. Sad to see how they managed to give this creeping sense of lifelessness when seeing the gameplay. It looks very MMO 2010ish like. Some hotspots here and there with similar theme/design scattered around the world. But it doesnt seem as interactive as I hoped it would be. And come on... a big magical land and I cannot see all kinds of animals/beings running around open in the world? I cannot think of another comparison than what Rockstar did with RD2. Beautiful map design which feels alive, engaging and like you can discover all kind of npcs/side quests/cool animals etc. just wandering around aimlessly.

The ai suck and make the combat easy but its an amazing game
@@Leon_S._Kennedy also 9/10. The combat can be tricky at first because of all the dodging and countering necessary while fighting larger groups. But it's somewhat like arkham asylum when it first came out. Once you get the hang of it, it gets kind of easy but it's still fun and rewarding.
The role-playing, immersion, and the quality with which they bring hogwarts to life easily cover any shortcomings. If you're a HP fan just buy it because you won't be disappointed.

I have heard there is a lot of repetitive character models and copy and paste 'dungeons' or combat encounters throughout the world. Is this the case? Didn't want to pre order early and be disappointed so keeping an eye on what everyone else thinks until the 10th and making a decision to purchase or not then!
From what i’ve played so far none of that is really true. Every character looks different same with combat scenarios. It might be people trying to review bomb it bc of the controversy surrounding the game. I would recommend this game fully, it is fun and the harry potter game everyone has been looking for.
I would say it's not any more or less repetitive than something like God of War. They can only do so much in a open world game, the important thing is that the gameplay loop is fun. Maybe enemy variety is lacking a little, but that's it so far.
@@swiftyunknown This is pretty much how I feel about it. I even remember thinking at one point that it felt kinda like playing God of War. But the world, especially at Hogwarts, feels like fans will want it to feel.
I’m super against this whole early access thing they’re doing with the preordering but I think after watching I’ll go ahead and get it tonight before Friday so I can still get the bonuses and play it now and not later
@@RenegadeJames yeah exactly. Instead of a beta they basically make a paid beta with the preorders so now they can patch the game up after all the preorder people have had their fun with the glitches and bugs.
It’s just a bad sign to me but I will say, the game looks solid and I can tell the people who made it care about it. I’m glad you’re having fun with it 🤘 and yes it’s so silly how even with our PCs and insane consoles like the Xbox series X and ps5, we still can’t get a 60fps 4k experience with some games
