I have spent a week here and have been checking out some of the areas attractions and monuments.

In this episode I was sent to the Isle of Sheppey with work for a week so decided to review the island.

I went to isle Sheppy yesterday and it was just as I remember it when I went many times as a kid in the mid 1970. Sheppy has a real charm 😊
Thank you for such a positive video on our wonderful island! Like anywhere, we have our faults, but Sheppey is actually a fantastic place to both live and visit! Moving here was the best decision we made!!!
Thanks thr memories came flooding back, I grew up in Leysdown, as a child aged 5 i could not get lost, I wondered of from my family, I walked around for a bit , found a small police station went in told them what was wrong, they kept me entertained, they went looking for my family 10 or 20 mins later my two big sisters came in , all in all I had great adventure .thanks Leysdown police I'm now 65 with cancer but with a joyful memorie that will still last until my lord calls me home 😊 THANKS
You forgot the naturist beach at leysdown😜. Queenborough harbour, The port of Sheerness, the sailing in the Thames and Medway estuary. The wreck. Probably the best thing I have ever done there was to leave. 👌
If I had more time there I would have liked to have visited more places of interest 🙈 hopefully I can return one day for another visit

Lived on the island from age 1 to age 16. Now live in the USA, but this is my seminal place!

Driving the buses on carnival day, I had to be mindful of not running over the Zulus when they were up and down the roads coin collecting with their buckets. Then being a sitting target through the bus window with my fare money in plain sight, so no excuse not to donate coin.
Good work by the Zulus though, a dedicated bunch.😊

Never mentioned the SS Montgomery off the Sheerness beach. Sheerness docks and the pub where Lord Nelson used to meet Lady Hamilton. The posh and becks of the 1800s

Was born in minster in 64 moved to Derbyshire last time I was there was in 2000 and went to the gatehouse my name is in concrete in the gatehouse as I worked on getting the gatehouse from a week to nearly ready
In fact just see the flat I was born in opposite the abbey

Sheppey is a hidden gem and is lovely in the summer. I highly recommend a visit to the Blue Town heritage centre.

@@TomokoMurakami sheerness mate you have never been to island have you. The caravan parks and minster and east church are beautiful you just focus on sheerness
I am 33 years old, i have little doggy and wife.
In April, i am coming from Birmingham to settle in Isle of sheppey because of a job (i will work in the prison) and because we would like to stay close to the sea.
I would like to know how living in the Isle, lifestyle, weather in the winter and summer, etcetc basically anything you guys can tell me will be appreciated 😊

1) Dont go, and if you are already there drive back over the bridge and dont look back.

@@TomokoMurakami yes I said in another video that sheerness is scrawny and definitely not good. But the leas and leysdown beach are actually really good. People think they are bad because they have stones but to be honest it makes no difference.
I live there :) it's so nice over here 😁 the Abby is my primary schools church wow it's weird to see someone viewing our place
I had a really nice visit x there are some lovely places
6/10. No mention of the summer Zulu outrigger canoe race to the SS Richard Montgomery and back.

lived there from age 14 to about 20. There is nothing there. It's a one horse town.
I defo saw more than one horse 😜 I was there for a weeks visit, there were some really pretty areas, but I guess I haven’t experienced living there 🤷🏼♀️ I can only go on what I saw
Sign on, get depressed and then leave... Try growing up there.... Hell hole... youtubers are in fear of saying anything negative about a place even if its true.

It doesn't help anyone to say shit hole, the video does well to highlight positives so what bout your evidence to support negatives?
Personally you enjoy the place, has everything you need and with broadband you can do anything,
start a business online, invest or trade the markets from home, play online games, engage in sex industry..or just grow old in a nice seaside town, rent a boat, go fishing, learn to dive or sit and enjoy nature!!
