Hello my name is George, I am 58 years old from Columbus, Ohio USA. I have very limited vision from diabetic retinopathy. Everything is basically a blur after about 10 feet. I am able to see and focus somewhat before that range so therefore I can view television and I love your videos. I love seeing the outside world since I cannot experience it in person. I hope you continue your postings. Thank you, your American friend :-)
Hello George, That must be very difficult to live with I'm so pleased to hear that you're able to enjoy the places I've visited through my videos. I shall keep up the work! 😄 Thanks for watching 🙂
Hi Sidders. Great video. Having been born on the Island. There is a lot of military history there. Sheerness being both a naval and army base. The part in your last video where all the cars were stored was once by the water edge. That area was filled in years ago for the imported cars to be stored. You will not find many people from the island walking on the beach from Minster to Warden as it is very dangerous with many people having got stranded and having to be rescued.
great vid. I slipped on my back in one of those bunkers, quite scary. also experienced getting stuck in the quicksand. It solidified around my boots, still haven’t managed to get it off. Other than that it was fun place to visit.
I'm glad I've seen a channel that has done this walk. I'm local in sittingbourne and this is something I always wanted to do but wasn't sure if you would get cut off. Cheers for doing this 👍
It's quite the experience this walk! You have to be very careful, and you can get cut off by the tide if not timed right, or stuck in the mud like me haha Good luck if you do decided to tackle it! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed 😄
I remember when the Warden Point Battery fortifications were still halfway down the slope, one with its back broken. That would have been in the late '70s or very early '80s.
Wow! It's crazy how quickly the sea can erode away the land! Every couple years another house falls down at Eastchurch Gap sadly. Thanks for tuning in! 😄
Such a hard walk this one. I’ve done that loads of times in the summer 2019. Felt like my legs fell off 😂 13:47 : as a Mudlark history hunter I Belive that is glass remains and if left will turn into sea glass. 20:00 there WOrld war two bunkers and they fell from the cliffs. If you look inside the big one there is graffiti there from a War Member. So fascinating :)
Isn't it just, I'm impressed you've done it more than once 😅 As beautiful as this part of the coast was I'm not in a hurry to walk it again haha Ahh, thanks for all the information, glass was one of our guesses but we weren't completely sure. I was too tired at the end of the walk to look inside the World War 2 bunkers, but I'll absolutely have to go back to explore them a bit more Thanks for watching 😄
Great video Sid. I have lived on Sheppey for nearly six years. I have wanted to do this walk but I've just not been brave enough ;) Thank you for the video!
Thanks, happy you enjoyed! 😄 I don't blame you for being hesitant, it is by far the hardest walk we've done on the Kent Coast Walk so far. If you do attempt it at some point I advise caution and plenty of planning, there are a lot of dangers from the tide, mud slides, quicksand and jagged objects. 😅
Well done, Sidders! It is such a tough walk - glad to see you got your timings right - we got caught by the tide at the very end and had to clamber over the sea defences! Great job and great video!
Thanks! Well done to you too, you weren't lying about how hard it was! Thank you for letting me know about the tides, we were extra careful and arrived very early. 😊
That is a tough walk, sorry to say I had to laugh when your shoes got stuck 🤣🤣🤣 I walked along here a few days ago and thankfully it was dry so didn't have as many issues as you did 😅 hey, on the positive side at least you didn't get caught out by the tide 🤣🤣🤣
Haha, it was pretty funny after I got free 🤣🤣🤣 You were very lucky, we did this walk on the 6th of September, so not long after you in the time of year Certainly is a positive not getting washed out to sea 🤣🤣🤣 I found it also to be a positive how interesting and different this section of the Kent Coast was to the rest! Thanks for watching! 😄
@@SiddersS I don't know so much about the coast to the west of here but from Oare all the way around Kent and into Sussex it is much, much more pedestrian friendly 🤣 I guess I was lucky it has been a very dry summer this year 😎
Hello, happy you enjoyed the video 🙂 It varies from walk to walk, depending on what is convenient, so far it has ranged from just 4 miles to over 11 miles.

Your friends and family are amazing. I love watching your videos; I just watched five. Thank you for your interest in these walks. Love them
Take heed of warning signs in future! Don't let it put you off walking on Sheppey though, there are some fabulous walks.

Great video, Sidders. It definitely brought back some recent memories from when Jenny and I did this section!
Thanks 😄
I doubt any of us will be forgetting this stretch anytime soon! Haha

There are tons of similar stones along that section 😊
