Such a clever idea to combine a cookbook with a survival guide for this. I can see this being a very useful book to keep around whether you like The Walking Dead or not!

Honestly, I love cookbooks that have more content than just recipes. And a survival guide in combination with a cookbook is a perfect combination!
Survival isn't just about physical but also mental health after all! And having good food does way more for mental health than some people might think!

I really love that they included descriptions for where the dish came from and the context in the show.
Also the survival tips sound like they would be great for a hunting or fishing trip even if you aren't a fan of the show.

Hello! Long time lover/lurker of your channel.
I've been curious about this cookbook for a few years. Seems like a good media tie-in for the show. I did want to recommend reading/browsing through "The Art of Eating Through the Zombie Apocalypse" by Lauren Wilson. I think it came out a few years before the Walking Dead cookbook. It's part field guide, part survival guide part cookbook. The recipes are categorized by what kind of survivor you'd be: someone with a pantry of fresher foods, someone working with more canned goods and dried food, a full-on prepper who has access to powdered/freeze dried food and even some recipes included that use edible bugs and foraged plants! Super neat and interesting, if you also enjoy camping and self-sustaining type ideas. :D

Slightly curious about how you’d get flour in a zombie apocalypse. Not only do you have to grow cereal, you’d then have to run a mill, noisy enough to draw the zombies if they hear in the meta, and even if not, you wouldn’t be able to hear them coming.

I grew up in a very rural area where hunting is just something most people do. We had multiple freezers full of venison at my house, and to this day I can't visit home without being sent away with half a deer. It's wild to think that it's expensive in some places.

Actually that deer meat recipe would be great for me. I grew up on michigan, anyone who was anyone went hinting and got their deer processed. (My family business was actually proving processing) the sad part though was that often times people didint actually use their meat because they didnt know how to use it. I grew up on venison though.

I dot care for deer meat. The last time i had some it was rubbery. I also once got some ground deer one time and tried it in spaghetti sauce. But even ground its texture was bad. It was like ground up rubber. I dont know, maybe south carolina deer are just rubbery anyway. The flavor....i dont know. It didnt taste like much.
Now moose meat is great. I had some in Alaska and it tasted better than any roast beef i have ever had. I asked them for seconds of the roast beef and they laughed and told me it was moose. So i asked them if i could have seconds of the moose. It was divine!

I love your videos but they’re getting samey. You make similar things from each cookbook and they’re usually simple things. I think you should challenge yourself and bring yourself out of your comfort zone a little more. I think it would make the videos more entertaining and you would grow in a culinary sense as you try new things and hone your craft. I hope this doesn’t come off as mean or anything it’s just my two cents. I know no one asked.
