Hi Miso - we are this cookbook's authors and we wanted to thank you so much for many nice words about our work! We're really happy that the dishes you tried came out great and they indeed look exactly as they supposed to! We admire that you tried kaszanka recipe - it's so good to read that it worked even with the substitute. When it comes to the Polish blood sausage/kaszanka, it's usually more brownish inside and contains buckwheat or barley groats (which means "kasza", hence the name :)) - and this addition make the sausage taste more balanced, smoothing out the intense flavours of offal and blood. In case Polish-style blood sausage is unvailable, and you want to mimic its flavour, adding 2 Tbsp of cooked barley or white buckwheat groats while frying the sausage might do the trick! And when it comes to the drink - it's a very nice idea to replace gooseberries with green tart-sweet grapes, and if you ever have a chance to try it again once gooseberries are in season, we highly recommend them for even more interesting flavour mix (and it's a reference to the Yen character) :)
To think how long it took you to finish this cookbook. I admire all the time you've put into creating this beautiful cookbook, not only artistically but also the incredible recipes. One of the best cookbooks I've ever seen. Please continue being this great! :)
Thank you so much for your work on the cookbook as well as the additional tips for the kaszanka! It was truly such a tasty dish. Looking forward to trying more dishes from the book. I really wanna try the zalewajka!
Thank you very much for your interesting and beautiful book. The work on the book is impressive and my wife and I made a review of it on Ukrainian RUclips😸
Nice! I had wondered if it was you guys. I remember stumbling across your website a while back and getting a demo of that chicken sandwich recipe, and I remember it was super good when I made it at home. I thought the steps sounded familiar when he was making it 😄
Well, Polish style blood sausage usually has a lot more grain in it, usually buckwheat or barley groats that gives it its unique texture. That's where the "Kasza" (pronounced Kasha. btw. The "sz" sound in Polish is very similar to the English "sh") part in "Kaszanka" comes from. But as long as you enjoyed it, thats all that matters. Hope the extra context is interesting to someone!
Seeing the book actually had Kompot in it (the actualy name of the nectar, or compote/compot too) made me smile too much since I love making it at home.
It does look incredible! My only lore issue with it is that I doubt the bandits that keep these in stock would go to all that trouble to marinate and cook it like that XD As a recipe though, oh my gosh it looks amazing and like something you'd get from a fancy restaurant!
I'm so happy this cookbook seems to be great, I've literally been waiting for years since the announcement of it and seeing you enjoy it reassures me that I should definitely buy it. The only cookbook I've ever been hyped about

I got one for you. They made a Redwall cookbook. It is full of original recipes from the stories. See the author of Redwall Brian Jacques loved food. He grew up poor and when he read fantasy novels he always wondered what meals they were eating. So he made sure anytime there was a feast in redwall he would describe the food in detail.
Another game that I didn't expect someone made a cookbook about it. Look like almost every game can have a cookbook. Our kaszanka, because I come from Poland is delicious. I remember watching a youtube animated series called "Monkey Wrench" (i really recommend it) where the protagonist said his favorite pizza was a 15 cheeses pizza... It could be a curious little experiment for a video trying to do an edible pizza with 15 cheeses (if it's even possible xD) It's mentioned in the first episode
