dude i've been trying to get this shit to work on my PC for years and I went and read the written tutorial and saw that I needed to change the resolution of the game before running it and now it works lol

holy crap! it worked! I was able to download (NOTE: it will take a while to download) and play the game! Thank you!! Now I just need to figure out how to tweak the graphics and use the controller

So i had this installed while ago and even modded it quite a bit but decided to delete it and start with fresh files again and save. But this time i tried to install the 50 character mod pack and my pc says that its a dangerous file and when i tried to force it to download, my pc forced a stop download again saying it detects a virus, even though ive installed it before and was just curious if theres a more safe file to get it from? I went to the marvelmods website though

I followed the tutorial step by step not missing any step, but when it came to actually opening the game the game doesn't open saying It need administration properties, when I do and try to open the game it just doesn't open and sometimes gives me option to troubleshoot or something. Im not sure what I did wrong, but the tutorial just doesn't work for me
First of all, thank you for this, I've been playing MUA so much again thanks to these mods! But I do have a question, and that is how do I install the optional files folder? I have MO2 but it doesn't seem to be working, do I have to start a new save file in order to get the optional files to work? Or do I have to copy to the actual MUA folder? I'd really like to have the extra missions for silver surfer and captain marvel but can't seem to get it working

@@andrewclark3330 Did you try going to our Discord and asking for help there? That's what we always tell people who struggle with this to do, and they usually get their games working afterwards. So if you haven't, please do that. You're not the first to claim you did everything and it doesn't work, and you won't be the last. Im curious: Is the files updated in some way? Because when I donwload the 50 roster pack from the site, I see the tutorial there showing a folder called "actors" there... But mine doesn't have it. Am I missing something?
@@doctorkman837 No, you're not missing anything. It previously had an Iceman skin change in the actors folder, but when the OCP decided to do it, it was later removed from the Roster Hack.

I know this isn't the right place to ask but has anyone managed to get the 2006 version running in windows 10? I've tried every possible solution from compatibility modes and all and the game simply won't start.

I run the 2016 version, but I'm working on downloading the 2006 version now.
Does the 2006 version have controller support? Or will I have to use my Steam Input setup? I'm fine with either, but I wanna be certain.
Yes, it has controller support. We even have an "Ultimate Controller Support" mod that helps configure various kinds of controllers.
Hello I’m from kingdom of Saudi Arabia is this game legal to install from my place in Saudi Arabia because honestly this game was my childhood I used to play it in ps2. Thank you. Hopefully you answer my question.
The game is considered abandonware, as Activision no longer has the Marvel license, and Marvel isn't concerned at all with a game over 15 years old. So it's legal in most nations. However, we don't know the laws in Saudi Arabia, so look into that first.
the mod organizer doesn't work with MUA or it is not explained how to use it, as it does not come up during the browse

I have question, this worked for me btw. I’m trying to download the wolverine game windows version and I came to this video to see if I could get some help but it’s completely different. It has a Redist folder and inside it has an application called dxwebsetup but outside of that folder there are other files and an application called setup which do I use?

where can i find scarlet witch that was included in OCP? ive installed it and followed the steps but none of the dlc characters are showing up

Hello. I have a problem with MUA, I've seen others asking the same thing but I never see how to fix it:
I arrive at Murderworld and where I have to face Jean Gray for the second time, she does not appear and therefore I am not allowed to advance. I must assume that it is a "bug".
I´ve tried to look for it in forum but it´s been useless.
How can I solve that?

When i open the setup exe it says error reading setup initialization file, please help i waited for hours to download it and then that's what i'll just get

I been reading the post. I managed to install a few mods but i really dont understand how to install boost mods. Could you please explain that to me?
You drag and drop the contents into your game, overwriting the previous files. If the booster comes with a herostat, use that instead of the original. (If you're using MO2, you don't need to install it directly. Just have it at a higher priority than the mod itself.
Will this work on my new laptop? And can i use my xbox one x controller to play it on there?
Yes, it should work for most laptops. As for controllers, it depends. We have an "Ultimate Controller Mod" that may help. See our Mod Installation Guide at the forum for details.

So i dont need to use OHS? I can just install the OCP 2.4 and 50 roster hack and then im good to go with all characters listed under OCP?
Yes. You can just install them following the Mod Installation Guide, and you're good to go. OHS is only one way to edit the herostat in case you want other characters in your game. XMLBCUI and Quick Batch are other ways to do it.
@@Marvel_Mods Ok, I noticed the OCP has 55 characters, meaning more than 50 though? Will they all be in with the 50RH?
@@Mercurial_Phoenix 50 is the MAX. So no, 5 are left out. You'll have to edit the herostat if you want any of the 5 or any other character mods in your game to replace any of the default 50.

i am trying to make an account on the marvel mods website but it isn't sending me an activation email. i've tried looking through all the different categories on my email, including spam, but it's not showing up anywhere. i even tried asking it to send a new activation email and then repeating all those other steps and it still won't work
We've been having issues with the activation emails lately and the site owner is working on that. In the meantime though, we've made everything available to the public, even the tutorials.
Are you working on a roster mod for the second Marvel Ultimate Alliance game?
Unfortunately, no. We don't have the tools capable for that, and MUA2 isn't exactly mod-friendly.
everytime i install the game and try to install direct x 9 after it tells me it failed and that i have to install it another time. Every time i run the game it just gives me "unlimate alliance/liblSG.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system adminstrator or the software vendor for support" how can i fix this? im on windows 11 btw

Do you have to use the unlock chest or can you unlock the characters playing the game?
Some characters you unlock normally through playing the game. Others though will require the "Unlock All Characters" cheat code or altering a game script.
Is this installation process the same for xmen legends 1 & 2, and mua2?
It differs somewhat. The written Mod Installation Guide explains it better. You can find it at our forum website.

Hello friend, I have a question. Can I choose my own characters to install and play without needing the character pack? cuz i would like to add black widow moon knight iron fist the punisher etc.
You need the OCP, as it's mandatory for all mods to work. (Black Widow is part of the OCP.) But after that, yes you can choose whoever you want on your roster.
When I try to replace program game file with my cracked game file it still says 0 when it’s trying to replace

Does it have to be initial release version or can it be the remastered version?
@@ComicBookAnimeEntertainm-wi6ol Has to be initial version, as that's the only moddable version. You can get it legally for free, as we have links. Our many mods have features that make the "remastered" version obsolete anyway.

When I installed the official character pack it was missing a bunch of the characters. Any idea what I might have done wrong?

I can’t even get onto the forum to begin installing mods because I registered for an account yet I can’t activate it because I haven’t gotten an activation email. I’ve tried requesting a new activation email multiple times, changing the email associated with my account, logging in without activating, and checking my spam folder but nothing is working. Can anyone please help me?

The OCP doesn't unlock them, if only makes them possible to acquire, so you're fine.

@@alexito.0w0 Yes, there is. You can install the new Vital Roster Hack, which expands your roster to 36 or 50, but doesn't unlock anything.

Hey man i have downloaded and use both the OCP mod and roster mod but my game became buggy as hell, like my attack button didn't inflict any damage to the enemy. and my game getting stuck during loading sequence that i have to shut down my laptop. What should i do ? Please help

Hey man it worked However the controls are switched. Like the B button is to select and it should be to go back. And A is to go back and it should be for accessing your options and everything else. Is there a fix for that?

Is there any way to adjust character sizes? I feel like most of the modded characters I download from the site are much larger than the other characters in game and it is very distracting.
There is. You can add "scale_factor = ## ;" to their herostat. 1 = 100% (normal size), so 1.5 means 50% bigger, 0.5 means 50% smaller, etc.

There a mod that lets me just have the exclusive characters without any added crap? I don't want my team to be unlocked right out the gate, no added extract points, no automatic unlock for all characters. Just the base game with the additional characters.
Yes, there is. It's called the Official Characters Pack (OCP). It's available at the forum website. The added "crap" are optional features that you don't have to have.

@@killerzer0x74 Yeah, there's no way around that. The golden rule is that anytime changes are made to the herostat, you have to start a new game.

That's a false positive. None of the roster hacks contain any viruses or malware, as the release post mentions in bold red text.

Mods for PS3 Pls, the work is great
The original game from 2006 does not work on my pc at all, won't even launch, clicking on the icon does nothing.
The release from 2016 works just fine

Yes, there are skins of Wolverine in his leather jacket. The modder called ak2yny restored it.

Can you play this on a MacBook also ?
It's possible with a VM -- that's what one of our modders use. Should be possible with Wine or similar as well, since you can play it on Steam Deck.

@@MikedaMeme That, we aren't sure. It was meant to run on a PC. Maybe you can install it on a PC and set it up before moving it to the Rog Ally. You'd have to change the herostat and start a new game each time to try out different character mods. Our Discord community may have ideas.
I dont think so, I play on steam deck with windows 11 since i hate linux. And no matter how much reinstalls, follow every step to a T multiple times and bat files they offer like the res one, hell even just copy pasted the game from pc over to the deck and it just doesnt launch at all, it just shows the icon at the taskbar, take away my mouse for a second and doesnt launch. So I gave up trying

Nope. But we've altered the original so much, that we've made the "remastered" version obsolete. And you can get the original legally for free.

@@rjb_3019 There should be a section in Video Options that does that. You can also turn on Advanced Lighting, and control shadow detail for better resolution.

I have a question: How do I delete the saved games (in pc mods)? I don´t need all of them and I think they take up space.

Go to your "Documents" folder. There, click on the "Activision" folder, then the "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" folder, then the "Save" folder. You can delete your saved games from there.

Even with prioritys set properly and the .dll file deleted I can't get MO2 to run the OCP and roster hacks at the same time.
Your best bet is to join our Discord server, and mention the problem in detail at our "help!" channel. We'll help you out on how to fix it.
I guess people don’t mod the Steam version? That’s a shame…
