This is probably THE BEST tribute for Saving private Ryan, The Pacific and band of brothers. This is greatly done and the music is mixed in sync with the combat and everything else very nicely. The quality is also great. I simply love this!
saving private ryan has the best sound effects and sound editing by far. i also think it is one of the most moving war movies i have ever seen. but the pacific and band of brothers were also very good!
Incredible film and mini series, my favorite Saving Private Ryan Character is Reiben as the sole survivor of the group even during the D-Day landings. From Band of Brothers my favorite character was also Doc Roe for his bravery and dedication to his company and from the Pacific my favorite character is Private Leckie for his endurance of the war and ability to adapt to all the changes he underwent.
well done that was a great tribute to all who seved all over the world be that british, american, canadian, australian, russian and new zeland in europe and british, american, canadian, australianand new zeland who fought in the pacific and yes we brits fought in the pacific as well as the yanks
This is first class, properly amazing the way that you have put this together mate. Band of brothers is the best by miles and miles. Favourite character; Darrell Powers (Shifty) He's such a nice bloke. A very honest, skilled and reliable character who is forever understated.
I can't comment until I see all the of The Pacific but all of them are masterpieces. I'd like to see Spielberg's brilliance hit another trilogy of WWII but from a science fiction point of view combined with his take on WWII. I'd like to see him do a story to include a French/Polish resistance perspective on the war. We've seen the pov from soldiers. It'd be cool to see it from pov of the resistance fighters without whom victory might not have been possible. As for other stories I'd like to see him do- an Eastern Front Trilogy based around Stalingrad, Kursk, and finally Berlin from the Russian pov. The Russians went far and above the call of valor and paid a heavy price to defeat Germany and I think their story deserves to be told decently on the silver screen for once. The RAF's Battle for Britain. Rarely has the courage of an entire nation played such a pivotal role in history as did Britain's during the Blitz. The RAF Eagle Squadrons were American volunteer pilots who fought for Britain during the Blitz. Many of them gave up their American citizenship, their careers, left their families, even sacrificed their lives for what they knew was the just cause. I'd like to see a story done on them since Lucas kinda dropped the ball with the RedTails. The founding of the SAS and its missions against the Germans. The US and Imperial navies and their epic battles to which Star Trek/Star Wars pales in comparison. The formation and story of the Devil's Brigade. The story of Merrill's Marauders and their missions against the Japanese as well as Australia's perspective on the war. The tsunami bomb that America, Australia, and New Zealand worked on. Which was cancelled only due to the Allied decision to go with the atomic bomb. If the crowds are ready for it. I guess stories from the Axis side as well would merit silver screen treatment. While they were in the wrong, they had stories of great courage as well. The potential for so many stories yet to be told is limitless. I pray that The Pacific isn't the last time we're told of history's greatest and most tragic conflict.
R.I.P. Richard Winters, you will always be a hero in my book, and about the video, to put it simply, beautiful, inspiring, and fuckin bad ass, i still remeber seeing one of your vids almost 4 years ago, and it was awesome, this one kicks its ass 100 times over
@hippowithnoodles444 I think you could have added a couple of more saving private Ryan scenes. You should think about adding some more scenes to this video make it like 10 mins long. Great job btw
ah you forgot to put foy in the opening. but i guess you can count that as bastogne campaign. my fav character in saving private ryan would be horvath, band of brothers my favorite is luz or malarkey, and the pacific my fav is sledgehammer but i also thought jay de l'eau and hamm were pretty cool. and snafu...
@Bandofbrothersgirl thanks! and yea, medics are great. and you're right. pretty much every character that Hanks/Spielberg have created/portrayed are quite very likeable lol.
@TheStickUpKid187 For sure man, each military had unique weapons. I love the tommy. Even metal detectors. There was a U.S. soldier who got separated from his patrol and took 10 or 12 Germans prisoner with a medal detector because they had never seen one before and thought it was some super gun. I believe I heard that from WW2 In HD.
oh, and Pacific was my favorite of the 3, just because, for me, it felt as if i was actually there, and i walked away from it feeling emotional wear and tear as if i was actually there, fav. char was of course sledge, cause his book is fucking awesome, but as an actor i think he could have done a tad bit better
@TheStickUpKid187 Haha of course man. Gotta love the Axis sometimes. My favorite weapon in the world is the Mauser k98. I'd really love a German mini series.
Well, there would be similarities with the addition of M16s and helis of course lol. But I think it would still be quite a bit different. The two wars in themselves are different. Most of the soldiers characterized in these shows were volunteers whereas most of the soldiers in a Vietnam series would probably be draftees, not to mention the controversy of the war at home. There's really way too many possibilities to explore for this concept, but I still very much like the concept.
It's sad to realize that the people who were actually there are dying and that they won't be with us any longer. Does anybody know any epic (historically accurate) World War I films?
@nfl391 haha thanks a lot man! I would love a Spielberg/Hanks Korean War series! That would be great! I still prefer Band of Brothers over The Pacific, probably only for the reason that I find the European theater more interesting than the South Pacific. That being said, I still REALLY loved The Pacific.
@Pyromaniac1801 haha thanks a lot man! band of brothers is still my favorite, but i definitely agree with you about the pacific. really intense and really brutal. Sledge has a great story, but i also agree, the acting could have been better. really, really sad about Winters...
@hippowithnoodles444 i agree. the two bravest men on the battlefield were the medics and the chaplins. they would run out on the battlefield and try to save men who they know would probably die.or give them their last rights knowing they could get shot at any time. the germans didnt shoot them but for every medic/corpsman they killed they killed a man that they would treat. thats why now medics are armed where no marngs
@TheStickUpKid187 yeah they should make a German war mini series like the Waffen SS and a Japanese army division on Okinawa. For some odd reason, I like the Axis Powers, the Germans and the Japanese military weapons and their fighting tactics. But my heart still goes to Allies that saved the world.
@hippowithnoodles444 i like the MP40 sub machine gun, 98k rifle and the MG42 from the Germans and the Type 99, Type 100 and of course the Katana sword from the Japanese.
@Weintraubeheld221 Hmm I disagree. German hating? If anything, especially with Band of Brothers, it was stressed how Germans were just like Americans, just thrown into a war they were helpless to get out of.
@Weintraubeheld221 That movie is based off of a book, Spielberg and Hanks were merely being true to that. There's one Jew in the unit which is just brings the audience character development as any decent film should. And what do you expect from an American unit? There's GOING to be people whose genes came from other countries being that their ancestors immigrated to the US. EVERY unit was like that.
HBO The Pacific is my favorite
This is probably THE BEST tribute for Saving private Ryan, The Pacific and band of brothers. This is greatly done and the music is mixed in sync with the combat and everything else very nicely. The quality is also great. I simply love this!
These are my top 3 shows/movies right now, got them on a loop. New to the fandoms though, but I'm making up for it.
Band of Brothers was the best of the three.
Two excellent mini series and one outstanding film
The first one is "The War" by Avox, the second is "Serenata Immortale" by The Immediate. (It's in the description :))
3:15 to 3:16 that's my favorite part of the video
saving private ryan has the best sound effects and sound editing by far. i also think it is one of the most moving war movies i have ever seen. but the pacific and band of brothers were also very good!
Hanks and Spielberg need to do a miniseries about the Germans during WWII.
Mindblowing...
Incredible film and mini series, my favorite Saving Private Ryan Character is Reiben as the sole survivor of the group even during the D-Day landings. Hanks and Spielberg need to keep it up! I want to see a miniseries about the Russians during WWII and also one about the Germans.
What great masterpieces!!!!!!!
some amazing acting across the board.
This is first class, properly amazing the way that you have put this together mate.
Band of brothers is the best by miles and miles.
Favourite character; Darrell Powers (Shifty)
He's such a nice bloke. A very honest, skilled and reliable character who is forever understated.
This was so good i had the chills the whole time!
This is well done. Couldn't have done it better myself.

Perfectly made
I think that would be great also, not only on the warfront but the homefront too
Yea man it's hard to choose, anyway you put it all three are fantastic.
I consider these 3 as one big entity.
what these all have in common is that they are all bad ass
R.I.P. Richard Winters, you will always be a hero in my book, and about the video, to put it simply, beautiful, inspiring, and fuckin bad ass, i still remeber seeing one of your vids almost 4 years ago, and it was awesome, this one kicks its ass 100 times over
I agree... I don't remember much about Windtalkers because I saw it so long ago but I remember being very disappointed.
@WBMGMproductions ooooh yea that is a great idea!
@WBMGMproductions I don't think Hanks and Spielberg have anything to do with it, but I heard that HBO is making a WWI miniseries called Parade's End.
Eugene Sledge. The Pacific. Even though Saving Private Ryan is my favorite movie of all time.
@hippowithnoodles444 I think you could have added a couple of more saving private Ryan scenes. You should think about adding some more scenes to this video make it like 10 mins long. Great job btw
@pbWebb92 Thanks Webb! Malarkey is fantastic. One of the few Easy Company veterans that's still alive today.
GOD DAMNIT I WISH I WAS IN WW2!!!!!!!
Can I make a request? It would be the same thing, only with one extra movie, and it's all I ask. This was nicely done by the way!
ah you forgot to put foy in the opening. but i guess you can count that as bastogne campaign.
my fav character in saving private ryan would be horvath, band of brothers my favorite is luz or malarkey, and the pacific my fav is sledgehammer but i also thought jay de l'eau and hamm were pretty cool. and snafu...
You should never wish to be in any war. You'll end up regretting it later.
thanks a lot!
@Bandofbrothersgirl thanks! and yea, medics are great. and you're right. pretty much every character that Hanks/Spielberg have created/portrayed are quite very likeable lol.
The Rangers-Saving Private Ryan
Airborne-band of brothers
USMC-The Pacific
@Chrille9320 Glad you liked it!
I would love something like that from the German's perspective!
hippowithnoodles444 i think there was a mini movie series about the Germans point of view
Generation war.
m.ruclips.net/video/5EYwWnIIZIs/видео.html.
I would also like to see a miniseries from the Japanese and Italian perspective.
They should make a Vietnam mini-series it would be beast!
What about Korea?
@Smibil67 Awesome! Band of Brothers is also my favorite of the three but I'd have to say my favorite movie is actually The Thin Red Line
A movie called Letters From Iwo Jima is a ww2 movie from the Japanese perspective and it is pretty good
oh, and Pacific was my favorite of the 3, just because, for me, it felt as if i was actually there, and i walked away from it feeling emotional wear and tear as if i was actually there, fav. char was of course sledge, cause his book is fucking awesome, but as an actor i think he could have done a tad bit better
@Theakker3B Really?? That's awesome!!
@TheStickUpKid187 Haha of course man. Gotta love the Axis sometimes. My favorite weapon in the world is the Mauser k98. I'd really love a German mini series.
George Luz!
Thanks a lot! What extra movie?
Well, there would be similarities with the addition of M16s and helis of course lol. But I think it would still be quite a bit different. The two wars in themselves are different. cool video
@Huhmasta thanks man!
@vilhelm999 Thank you sir! I also think Band of Brothers is the best. Well said about Shifty, I completely agree.
@Theakker3B That would be awesome!
Snafu is based off of my pawpaw's cousin
@tornadofan2803 Sledge is great! So is his book!
is this a reference to brothers in arms?
@TheStickUpKid187 Dude, I agree. Japanese would be cool, but I'd REALLY love a Russian or German one.
@Pyromaniac1801 haha thanks a lot man! band of brothers is still my favorite, but i definitely agree with you about the pacific. really intense and really brutal. Sledge has a great story, but i also agree, the acting could have been better. really, really sad about Winters...

@infantryfilms2nd haha yeaaa i was going to but it seemed i might as well leave it at bastogne.
Exspecially the marines
@hippowithnoodles444 i like the MP40 sub machine gun, 98k rifle and the MG42 from the Germans and the Type 99, Type 100 and of course the Katana sword from the Japanese.

War is fun i wish i was in ww2
they should make a Russian on the Eastern front war series. Or German or Japanese point of view. Not just American.
I think it would be like the pacific just add in m16's and helicopters lol
@NarutoDude134 heh heh yep :B
@Weintraubeheld221 Hmm I disagree. German hating? If anything, especially with Band of Brothers, it was stressed how Germans were just like Americans, just thrown into a war they were helpless to get out of.
sorry i already saw that one
passchendaele
YO MAN IT WAS FUCKING COOL
@Weintraubeheld221 That movie is based off of a book, Spielberg and Hanks were merely being true to that. There's one Jew in the unit which is just brings the audience character development as any decent film should. And what do you expect from an American unit?
