I realized I kept saying one hundred degrees when I meant TWO HUNDRED. Too much cheesemaking, I guess. Forgive me.
What brand are those pots you’re using? 😊
Thanks for making all these videos. You have helped me start DHI years ago, make cheddar cheese and now you're helping me get to caramels. THANK YOU for taking the time to do this all real time and real life so we can have a realistic idea of what happens.
I love watching your videos. I just got goats and am excited to try making some of the stuff you make!
Have you ever tried making Cajeta? Mexican goat milk carmel. Doesn't use so much sugar! PLUS you can cook it in the crock pot!
Hi....love the video. We only have goat milk as well and looking at the comments and your responses below...how much goat milk and then how much cream? In looking at KA recipe of 4 cups of half and half....perhaps 2 cups of goat milk and 2 cups of cream...though the milk still has the cream in it, so 3 to 1? Thank you for your video!
Love this.
Beautiful! Gotta try this!
This tool mentioned below on Amazon is probably the best, reckon any kind of funnel will work. A meat injector might be the cheapest option :)
"Confectionery Funnel With Stand and Three Nozzles - Stainless Steel Commercial Grade Cake Decorating Tool - Precise Dispensing and Filling - By O’Creme "
There's a good idea!
This is the first time I come to your channel…I like the videos you have. Do you have goats, I don’t see any videos on your channel? Just curious being I see you have goat related videos but no actual goats in the videos? Just a curious passerbyer…God Bless
after caramels are made about how long is shelf life? do you store in refridge.
What breed of goat do you have for the milk? Goat milk cream?
In using goat's milk, is the recipe for goats milk WITHOUT the cream or an you use it with?
Cvrstry318 I used whole goat milk and additional goat cream.
@@HammockHavenFarm wow fast response. Thank you! I'm hoping to share some gm with a friend of mine who wants to use it for caramels, so good to know neither of us will have to separate it. I love your videos!
Cvrstry318 thanks for watching! They make great gifts and holiday treats.
So I’ve tried a few thermometers and haven’t liked them ...where did you find yours? Thanks
This is a chef alarm. They have a website. Best thermometer EVER! I like the rubber probe instead of the one that comes with.
HammockHavenFarm how do you get the rubber probe...I like that as well

It's this probe. The chef alarm is on their site too. Cheesemaking.com also sells it, but not the rubber probe.
@@HammockHavenFarm thank you very much
Wonder if this would work with goat milk? I don't have a cream separator nor enough cream for it to be worth it.
You can buy store bought cream and it will work.
👍👍🧡
It looked like you added 3 cups of brown sugar, not two. ???
I used a half cup measure for the brown sugar because it fit in the packaging better. I actually used 4 of those.
That's not goat milk caramel that's butter , corn syrup , sugar , store bought milk , salt . My goat milk caramel has goat milk , vanilla and baking soda . The store bought caremal is probably healthier and much cheaper becouse the candy Company won't spend as much money as you did on ingredients . Have you figured out why a flower co. Put out a candy recipe . They seem to know nothing about candy . I'll try another video but not like this .
Cajete is what you describe making...yum!
You're beautiful
