For all the lazy creators :) Open Ableton live. Load some samples you like. Assign a keyboard key per sample, set a bpm, and start randomly hitting the keyboard :)
sick i love how producing breakcore can be done with hours of detalied precision or just by triggering samples in no time at all. the next step for this guy is to write an ahk script that presses the buttons for him then he wouldn't have to even press the buttons hahahaha.

That would most likely be due to the quantization on your samples/loops. When you double click on an audio clip, you should see the waveform and all that jazz in the bottom of the screen. Look to the left of that bottom area, and you'll see 3 little symbols next to each other. One is an "L" click that, and it'll bring up the launch setting, where you can customize the quantization of the loop and a few other things.
Haha! I couldn't stop laughing while watching this! It made me think "why didn't I think of this?" With the warp tool it's great because you can just hit random buttons and it still sounds good, and in-time! Since I do so much ambient, I may try this with pads, that seems like a good idea. Also, you could put them all in a drum rack and then add the random MIDI plugin, and have it running while you add other stuffs.
In upper right corner there is a button called KEY, press it and you will enter the KEY assignment mode, then you can press on the sample and assing a key on a keyboard to it, by just pressing it :) that's it ! enjoy!
I think you have proven how easy it is to do when you know the program actually I believe it´s a nice slap in the face for the hardcore fans who believe their masters do MIRACLES with breakcore, so the challenge is, once you can do this music like this, then reinvent it, how? where to? I don´t know, that´s teh challenge in any case, u like or not this type of music well done
@thehydratheory The samples are very small, so small that they don't have any speed. It's like one kick, one HH, one OH, some distorted kick etc. I set the time table to 2/16 that means that 16 ticks is 4 actual beats and when i press the key of the sample, it sounds every half of beat. When speaking about 220BPM, this is fast enough. Of course samples should be shorter or the same speed as your bpm setting.
Double click ont he clip, and in the clip properties, change the little drop down box for quantize. It should say "global" Change it then, to whatever you want, or change your global quantize lower.
In purpose to create breakcore you have to be a professional musician. I'm not. This video is a humorous approach to creating this great genre. I'm sorry for those whose feelings got hurt after watching this video.
I was just mentioning a couple of artists, not saying anyone is better ....there are alot of DEVESTATING breakcore/IDM/chopped beats producers out there!! YEOOOWW!!

I think this is a great approach, especially to live production, but for some reason my samples just dont play the same way, they all diff speeds and dont really go together nicely. not sure if this is cos im doing it wrong or i just need to choose better samples. btw you do not need to be a professional anything to make music, you just have :)

could everyone stop talking about 'breakcore' as a genre, it's just music. if you like amen breaks use them, if you like gabba kicks use them, if you like mash up do some mashup, genres are stupid. i'd only use the term 'breakcore' to refer to a type of party, and the good breakcore parties are where each act sound nothing like eachother. if you want predictable genre music go listen to dubstep or dnb
New to Live and I have a questio: did you just load the samples as audio tracks? Or are you using a drum rack, impulse, simpler or something else I don't even know of?
I know what it takes to create a really good music, there is a program called BeatCreator, Shitmat uses one, you can slice the loop and rearrange the slices randomly. Glitch does a good sound, but fuck it, there is no way to create a proper breakcore without a soul invested in the creation. What i show here is stupid randomcore mash up of tracks i don't like. That's my way to shit on them, and this video is me showing how i do it. So stop being serious and enjoy or should i say TITS OR GTFO!
yea dblue is lame alot of nabs just do all the cliche sounds and giveit away instantly to anyone who knows there stuff. live cut is the same but live cuts glitches are 100x better
