- A quick breakdown of a breakcore track I made a while ago. Full song at 3:13! I'm just quickly going through the elements of a song I made previously, but I could also record myself making a song from scratch. This video was suggested by a viewer. Feel free to suggest more video ideas in the comments!

even if it’s not breakcore this is still really cool! nice tutorial!
The mixing is absolutely mint! Imma have to pick up some of those plugs
I think seeing a mastering tutorial from you could be p cool
its more jungle or dnb but you have the mindset, you just need the amen breaks
I've been seeing breakcore videos and there so awesome ! Like this one Keep it up :)
I love this song, but this isn’t Breakcore, this is Jungle or DNB, you need chop breaks
Amen, brother
@@kriyananda6609 thank you
Yes. I came to this video looking how to chop better lol
Jungle and dnb also chop breaks, it's more than just chopping, you gotta get creative with the breaks
Filtering, stretching, distorting (and obviously chopping)
Aside that, this is at 158, breakcore while you can make it at lower tempos, is usually above 210, making breakcore at lower tempos means you gotta be even more creative and make even more intricate patterns
i dig it though 😎
Nice job friend. Thanks a lot!
I love how you named your Nexus patch "drain gang"
Hello ! i'm currently try to learn how to make breakcore and this video is super cool thank u!
Can u also make another tutorial on breakcore, but like you said in desc, from scratch pleaseee? ^^
You got it 👍
@@JulianShrimpDrake Thanks !
@@TakuAep just finished recording, I'll edit and upload it tomorrow probably
@@JulianShrimpDrake oh really ? you are the best! thank you !
@@TakuAep sorry, I probably won't have time to edit it until sometime later this week
uhmm that was fire, i would actually add that to my playlist
dope
dude, is this like, your first time making a drum and bass/breakcore track? because this is really good! i would consider putting it into a mixtape with the best of the best artists i know of the genre! awesome stuff man.
ty !!!
bro you should upload songs on yt, this one is really good
Thanks! I mainly upload my music to nekoboyepinephrine2011 on SoundCloud but I will definitely upload more on here!
Also, just bc the sample says 150 or 160 bpm doesn't mean the genre is at those tempos necessarily, breakcore sample packs don't really exist, they're usually all just soul breaks, with jungle sfx
It ain't breakcore. It's Jungle/DNB. No matter, dude, this sounds great!
This isn't breakcore, this is more like Jungle or DnB but still great track
2:10 ooh nicce nbbase
O cool music! I dont think it is breakcore, when i head it it is crazier!
Also, kudos for playing Starbound and listening to rs lol
hey can you publish the MIDI of the melody ?
Trying on GarageBand lmao, it’s hard
poggers
no sidechain?
where did u find that DrainGang nexus folder?
Some drumkit I downloaded I think, they aren't really that good though
yo do you have a link to that pad at all?

@@JulianShrimpDrake you're a legend!! thanks so much :)
@@maowwmeow np, have fun :D
It's drum and bass
i literally made breakcore
This is not real breakcore but really good sound
Hey, no offence, but this isn’t breakcore, there isn’t any distortion, break chopping, This is DnB… But good tutorial though!
genres are subjective, I agree that this isn't breakcore but it's jungle, not dnb
Your interpretation is just as valid tho
@@tenaibms yo this comment is not in bad intent, why do you think this is jungle and not dnb/liquididk whatever? just curious
@@1116_weka It has breaks, and I tend to associate those with jungle rather than dnb. At least with modern stuff, older dnb used breaks, but this isn't trying to be old school dnb
@@tenaibms dnb also uses breaks as well you know, I'm not really sure what you mean by jungle uses breaks, and modern dnb doesn't (it still does, it's just that it's always chopped into a 2step pattern)
I do agree this is jungle tho, the tempo is too slow to be dnb, this is at 158, jungle is 150-165 BPM (sometimes as low as 140, and as high as 168 buy that's it)
The thing that sets it apart from most dnb is that it doesn't have a 2step kick snare pattern, and dnb is at 170-175 bpm
Old skool dnb sounds close to jungle but it's at higher tempos, that's Abt it, these genres are tempo specific after all
@@tenaibms genres are subjective when it's a genre that isn't well established (like hyperpop, digicore, glitchcore, pretty everything that's been coming out lately)
jungle, jungle techno (old skool hardcore), breakcore, dnb are all well established and well understood genres
ЗиС ис вандефул! Грит!
Но это не совсем breakcore...
Chopping breaks isn't automatically breakcore... that sounds like dnb with some liquid in it.
That kick'll ruin the song on big speakers, I assume. Deadmau5 said to use shorter kicks, though it's all up to taste.
that is 100% not breakcore brotha, that is some liquid, listen to some square pusher or APHEX, that is break core
Thats not breakcore
this is jungle. stop spreading misinfo please.
158bpm "breakcore" ffs hahahaha. Americans.
