- Using lures sent to me by subscribers, I slayed some bass in my local river, then explored some new areas where I discovered some silvery trout in the cooler water closer to the dam. I then bagged some crawfish at a new crawfish spot I discovered a few weeks prior and had an epic river cookout on the bed of my truck. Days of fishing don't get much better than this, folks! Keep trying new things and leveling up in real life!

@@acevideos2 hey next time you’re trout fishing try casting upstream and bringing it down in current. Trout always face upstream and are more aware of natural presentation! Smallmouth will hit just out of aggression!

@@RatstangGarage I moved from Portland to Texas. And I so much share the sentiment. Here it's bass, catfish, crappie. So lame lol. No walleye, no trout, no perch, no red rock and dungeness crab =(
If you put butter in your crawfish boil it will make it easier to peel the crawfish out ( like this so he can see it)

That first baitfish you caught is known as a fallfish, we catch them all the time when they are active around this time of year even down here! They usually school up in creeks during early fall to late winter

That baitfish is a Fallfish, they actually get pretty big, up to 2lbs, and the big ones fight pretty hard

@@richiekaylor5004 they're very similar to creek chubs, ive caught spiny nosed creek chubs over a foot long, fallfish 16 inches

Ok so this is random but I figured I'd just ask anyway, my cousin gave me 5 bucks to eat a whole baby crayfish after I cooked it it was small you could probably fit it on a penny maybe even a dime, anyways so after I ate it whole I've been feeling really bad and wanted to know if I could be getting sick from it or not

That turtle trap looks similar to one I’ve built! I’ve had good experience using carp for my turtle traps, though if you do decide to use it I would heavily reenforce the zip ties as last time I used it I ended up with a very unhappy snapping turtle in there

Hey Ace, just a tip on Box Turtles-even if you are legally allowed to eat them you shouldn’t. Box Turtles often eat mushrooms that are toxic to humans, and in turn, Box Turtles themselves become poisonous. I’d hate to see ya get sick from eating one of them.

He's not going to answer but I can help you out,get a friend or someone to pull your line out about 50ft,and when you reel it in pinch the line to unwind it

You may can stretch it, but may end up having to deal with that throughout the rest of the spool. Very aggravating.

Next time caramelize the onions w/o water first before anything else, direct pan fry on medim/med-low heat for about 6-8 minutes because 212F isn't hot enough to do this. If you cook the onions in water, they won't get hot enough to transform the sugars to that wonderful sweet onion flavor and they won't be very sweet ( still hard tasting ).
You should've poured that leftover trout butter over your potatoes and corn. That would've been so yummy. Still a 10/10 video!!!

Idk crawfish are fast like that where i used to live down in Texas I live in Arkansas now and I've noticed they are much slower so I think it's just colder water means slower craws

That big trout after seeing the colour of the flesh and seeing what it ate, I knew it wouldn't of been a good tasting trout. The pinker the flesh the more fatty protein in it. I've made this mistake in the past lots. i don't fish in certain lakes now because of that.

You shouldnt boil the fish man, but it should only stay in boiled/hot water for like 5min's. Otherwise it gets dry or falls apart.

I’d recommend a nice pair of water shoes. They always work so good for in and out plus they dry quick

For years i always called it Ra-pa-la. Apparently its actually pronounced Rap-alah. It's From Finland and it was founded in 1936.
you should put the turtle trap about 6 inches deep in he water so it would be more likely for them to get in it. turtles can only eat under water.
