  • You don’t have to candy over just silver. The myth that silver is the base of all candies is a lie! You can create an impossible amount of colors by changing the base color of your candy paint job and by doing so also makes your application of candy easier. Like the orange base under the read is still red but deeper than if it was over silver. Play with your base coats and discover new possibilities!

    Could this be done with a PPG water based paint system it has a clear base tinter?

      From what I know about waterborne is that you can do a tri coat by adding a toner to clear base which will add a nice deep tone but it won’t be a true candy like what I’m talking about in this video. However that’s a great question and I’m going to do some research this week. I’ll check back with my findings soon! 🤙🏽
