I helped my father fill Whitman Lincoln Cent folders when I was six. I've always put my pennies aside in a big leather bag. My interest has waxed and waned over the years. But at some point, I began putting aside nickles, dimes, quarters, and half dollars. I recently started going through them now that I have time. I have all the Whitman folders and when I find an old coin in beautiful condition I still get as excited as I did sitting at the kitchen table with my dad going through his pennies when I was six. My point is that you may or may not continue next year but I don't think the excitement ever leaves you completely. You'll always be checking your change for something interesting that you'll want to put aside for the next time you feel the urge to look a little more closely. Cheers

I found a 2013 D Quarter perry's victory. That is discoloration around the whole coin front an back and side. Copper. Also a few more coins of discoloration
I collect them, but I don't go out of my way looking for them. I just check my change against what I already have, and if it looks better, I swap it out.
So I found one of these quarters, and you can tell it's been beat up quite a bit. But it looks like there is an error on the back of it from the mint, but I guess it could just be from it being abused?

I came upon a2013 Nevada coin. I believe it's an error but I'm not sure. In the middle of the coin i in the tree trunk the planchette is blank.
