Thanks man! I have absolutely the same issue with my xnove light 1950kv. Onewire helped a lot, but anyway I don't like the sound of motors. It sounds the same as you showed in the example with flying in winter between trees. I updated to .55 fettec esc firmware. This didn't help. I will try to switch on hardmount. Hope it will help. I'm using stock PIDs, I think the gain of P and D is quite low, so it can't be an issue.
After trying all mentioned tips&tricks I've got no result with my Xnova lite 2207 1950kv. Only after I replaced it to classic Xing 2207 1800kv quad flew ok. Thanks for giving the idea that root cause was in motors. It's a pity I like Xnova and it flies great on my betaflight ))
Thank you this video sorted 99% of my issues, the quad fly's amazing now but has the odd twitch but only in really aggressive manoeuvres and once every 3 packs or so, I'm using t-motor Velox 1950kv motors with race wire 6. is there another update coming for the esc in the future?
@@mattiagatti1200 No. Builded my Fettec Quad November 2020 and it still works till today. Did replace nothing. But there are some important things i take care when building my quad that makes my Quad more safe than others. i am using liquid tape on some solder joints like lipo in on ESC board and i take care nothing touches komponentes from the standoffs and stuff like this.
I’m still getting dysncs and major twitching on the 35a FETtec esc/fc, I had it soft mounted then tried semi hard(orings for spacing out) I’m almost over FETtec I’m on my second esc for this new build, FETtec support is hopeless just send it to us then don’t answer emails. Kiss just worked I really don’t want to go back to betaflight but it’s looking more and more likely

It will hover but when i try to punch out it wobbles very baddly. motors sound as if there cutting in and out. Ive tried so many things. its my first experience with kiss and so far its been horrible. Its so bad its un flyable. Thanks!
@@nickfpv9489 i have xing E Pro 2750kv. Im using all the newest Firmware on The Fettec FC and Fettec ESC. Its unflyable. It hovers and then when given throttle to punch out it just shakes. Feels like it wont even go full throttle its shaking bad.
I'm about to put my first FETtec quad together using an Apex, I've got the FC and 45a ESC and I'll be running it on 4s only, can I solder the capacitor onto one of the sets of pads on the corner, or do I have to put it on the pads where the xt60 leads are soldered to?
@@nickfpv9489 thanks man, just that I saw guys speculating in the FETtec Facebook group about how it was the ESC on the corner where they'd soldered the cap that died on them. Another thing, the Apex uses metal locknuts for the stack, should I place o rings on top of the metal nuts or just sit it directly on top of them?
@@Dav2112 I‘m a fan of hardmounting! But putting the electronics on the steele nuts is not the best idea 😅 if you want it still hard mounted use nylon standoffs. I use 3D printed standoffs between the electronics.
@@nickfpv9489 is it possible for me to file out the holes and insert rubber grommets through the ESC instead, I feel this would provide more shock absorption in a crash which could save components from dying. Just want to make sure I get everything right with this build, my Flyduino one I followed Steele's guide and flipped the 4in1 upside down only to discover it was causing the quad to suffer from death rolls, so I had to disassemble it and flip the ESC round the correct way, it was hassle that I really could have been done without. Also, I read somewhere that I need to take a ground wire from the FC to one of the ground pads on the Apex OSD board too, is this correct?
Hi buddy, I have a question: I have the same Fettec 45A esc and one motor starts after the other 3. I cannot get the drone to fly. It flips over. Motor dirección are all good and props too. Has this ever happened to you? Thinking it could be calibration of the ESC or maybe the esc just died. Great Vid btw!

Just search for a flux pen! :) „Lötfett“ isn’t made for electronics. It’s made for cleaning the tip of the iron and especially for soldering rain gutters or other things which aren’t electronics. Cheers! 😊

My 5” Chief with 2206 1600kv is hard mounted and running 2400 flies perfectly locked in however on a sharp throttle burst it sometimes has a desync twitch and sometimes the throttle sticks for a second. Will the new FW keep my quad from launching to the moon?
@@nickfpv9489 I’m happier than I was bc I have no more desync but I got a warble upon arming. Running 1wire. Flies great but that warble makes my motors hot. Only happens at min throttle. Any ideas? Already tried lowering min throttle to 1050 from 1070.
I got a Fettec 20×20 ,35 amp esc says error ( Problem on Onewire ID 3 detected) No motor detected or failed on HIGH side Fets/gatedriver? Motor number #3 will not work period! And yes the motor has been tested and every trouble shooting thing you can perform has been done. Besides replacing the wire harness & esc! Which I already have coming in the mail! I have upgraded firmware Down graded firmware used Dshot 600 Dshot 2400 Onewire everything you can think of...and it still shows error on motor #3. I dont see any flaws with the esc or wire harness. And the FC is brand new because something happened to my other Fettec F7 during flashing Alex hex file for MSP for DJI ( This was before MSP was added to the new version Kiss Gui) and could not get the Reboot button to work no matter how I held the button down and plugged in a lipo up to it? Fettec components can be fragile! I been building for three years and always make a habit to place black tape over the rest of the esc or Fc while soldering. (Especially if your using a hot iron) They are very few videos on Fettec components and I have steadily been making videos of the issues at hand I been experiencing. Hopefully more pilots will make more videos of Fettec hardware! Keep the videos coming good job. Hopefully you wont have to experience what I have had happen. I love the way Kiss flys over anything else and that's why I go through this!...lol

Does 163 solve the desync problem for you ? with 155 and 45a Fettec ESC I have continuous desync issue on T-Motor F40pro IV 1950kv when using dshot 2400
That’s aren’t desyncs. It’s caused by a Dshot error. But as I mentioned in the video onewire is the way to go. So use it. Nevertheless Felix is fixing the Dshot2400 problem at the moment and I’m testing it. But even when it’s fixed. Onewire is the way to go.
Im having higher throttle ocsolations. With 45 a 4 in 1.. tried it on a skystar F7 and it worked okay, change out the flight controller back to a g-4 and it's doing the same exact thing.. I thought maybe it was wires over the gyro but I've have since moved them and still the same thing happens it's got to be the ESC but it doesn't desync at all it's just wobbles I even set it back to factory and thought maybe that was the issue. It was working at some point before all the issues started , any suggestions?

Hello, man, I tried everything now, one wire, soldered one wire, PIDs, building is great, I actually build quads for money, tried even Panasonic original 1000uf 35v low esr cap,… I still gets very quick twitches in my quad, not as severe as yours in the video, but kills the footage, running Emax Eco II 2207 1700kv, it’s a all new build with Fettec F7 and Fettec 35A ESC on 6s! I have no where to run now! I’m starting to believe it’s an incompatibility between ESC and motors! So frustrating!
@@cmtetaboaco and FC? I would go for the 47l and the 182 at the moment. An incompatibility is not realistic, because I’ve used the ECO II with the exact same setup. 😊
Feel free to fly whatever you want to. But for me falco x with all these annoying filterings will never reach the direct kiss feeling. :) I have a well tuned Falco x kwad and a well tuned Fettec kwad and the Falco X kwad is MILES away in case of performance and responsiveness. Which doesn’t mean Falco x is bad. And btw, bashing a brand is never the way to go. :)

Mine does! My Prototype 45 Amp ESC is still rocking my main quad :D :) thousands of packs and its from January 2020

Hey Buddy,
You can use the pads at the side. They are made for the cap/spike absorber.

Yes. Upgrade to the 182 (ESC) and 46i (FC) and you’ll be happy. :)

That can be related to the PIDs. Try to drop the D Term a little bit. Or increase the filtering to high. :)

Are you in kiss or alpha? Do you use a O3 air unit? Which motor protocol are you using m?
