Little Dark Age - American Aerospace

- Got plenty of requests for an American Aerospace video, so your wish is my command. I tried to include famous modern-military aircraft, and sincere regrets if I forgot anything major. As usual, if you enjoyed the video, consider liking and subscribing, I plan on uploading more content like this, and this way you can easily find my channel again.
Song: • MGMT - Little Dark Age...
If only we could show this to the men who fought in the trenches
edit: yes i know some have lived to see this. I was mainly talking about them having a glimpse into the future at the time
Ancient Egyptians, Indians and Summerians saw that
War still fighting trenches in Ukraine
a few of the lucky (or unlucky ones, depends) would have lived thorugh the development of such aircraft. Sadly the most they'll see will be the f35 as I believe most of the veterans have since passed
@@sng345 thats not what he ment
Though they would be mind blown not sure how many would like that the last 2 world wars didn't end all wars.
God, wish Lockheed Martin would just declassify the new tech!
Imagine how much more insane their engineering has gotten in the past decade.
Excellent edit as always.
Thanks! Glad you like my videos!
Sure would be cool but then the Russians and Chinese would just steal it.
And that's why I want to be an engineer
They don't want to give that info to Russia and China
It’s not up to Lockheed
This is a banger! Hope you have time to make a canadian aerospace (or british) video. That would be epic!
I can assure you a Canadian and British one will come out sometime in the future!
@@AeroInspireyou make a mistake in this video by showing a German fighter bf 109 at 0:22
@@AeroInspire pls make a video of indian aerospace as well, plsplsplspls
First in the air, First Nuclear capable bombers, First to use short range Air to Air missiles (successfully), First to break the sound barrier, First to use BVR missiles, First Long range spy planes, First to use attack helicopters, First stealth aircraft. Yah kinda of a big deal.
and yah we aren't the first in a lot of things but by god do we always improve on them
Yeah lol, like Russia was the first in space sure but then we went way farther than them all the way to the Moon

This is incredible! Can’t wait for the PCA and F/A-XX to be revealed, so we get to see the new 6th Gen of fighter aircraft

Very good video.

0:21 uhhh, The Bf-109 is German
Whoops! Good catch, definetly didnt intend this haha
Bf-109 wouldn't exist without the American success of powered flight, so it still works tbh
As cool as military aircraft are, I hope they won't have to be used in real combat
Well... that defeats the whole purpose of military aircraft.
@@JLL_29 that's true, I think OP meant to say that by never using these weapons in actual combat, then we can ensure at minimum, mothers and fathers do not wake up dreading the news of losing their children in an ugly and senseless conflict

@@orangesarecool5386 Oh yeah, that makes sense.

If america ever had a 'dark age' of aerospace it would have to be the beginning of WW2 and then the space shuttle.
Not the shuttle
this is epic, I would love to see a Britain Version
in my opinion the ww2 planes were great and were able to stop the luftwaffe but at the Cold War era they just did not kill it

American aircraft have come such a long way, I’m so proud of my country!
My dad's friend would load the B58 Hustler payloads in the 60's, what a man.
Just found this channel. Definitely subbing
crazy how we went from biplanes barely pushing 110 kph, to jets that fly so fast it can shake the ground beneath you
Sometimes I wonder why is it that america is still a superpower , and then I remember the US military. All its economy and politics aside, those guys have got the sickest military of all time. A single nation to have so much impact on the modern world seems like a crazy idea but not if you know Uncle Sam and his trusty eagle.
The US economy is still a juggernaut, let's not forget. People talk about "debt," but most of that is domestically owned, and it's often advantageous to take on a certain amount of debt to grow your economy. Just like business loans. What matters, is if you have the credit to back it up... and the US Dollar is the global reserve currency. The US might as well have a black credit card.
Two other reasons why the U.S. is still the only superpower are the cultural dominance (everyone still consumes our music, media, and fashion etc) and it’s still the number one destination for immigrants and refugees. We pull the best talent from all over the world and share ideas.
American airforce, is for me as czech... Best looking air force, and of course strongest ever made.
Good job my american brothers 🇨🇿❤🇺🇸
Us Americans brought aviation into the world, and we are the best at making planes. Now just imagine if the CL-1201-1 and 3 were made.
No, the USSR and Russia also make planes that compete with you
@@iachelovek-ib8rw mabye in the 60s that was true, but since the F-15 and definitely the F-22, no country has made a better aircraft. And before you bring up the SU-57, that terrible RCS, exposed rivets and screws, the size of a city block, is just russias modern paper tiger to replace the MIG-25
@@solar_bionic115That's just to crap Russia, well, God, the planes were made on rivets because they accelerated to high speeds and the weld could break, and look at the comparison of your f 22 and 35 with su 57 and you will find their advantages and disadvantages, so I don't see the point in saying who exactly is better
@@iachelovek-ib8rwThere are like 10 su-57’s, even if they weren’t literally just worse then the f22. There is not enough of them to ever matter/
@@natebox4550Firstly, this is still an experimental development, and secondly, is it really necessary to have them in large quantities? Moreover, the Russian army is more focused on defense
No love for American astronautics? First to build a viable space station, first to explore the bodies beyond our own Earth, only one land a person on our Moon.
Actually 50 percent of what you wrote has already been done by the USSR, but nonetheless the USA also did many first things, but most importantly humanity won
@@JuPiTeR_0211 The _Salyut_ station preceded Skylab, but I ignore it because of a) The lack of research and experimentation performed aboard and b) The death of the first crew. Skylab both facilitated hundreds of experiments and vastly increased our understanding of living and working in zero-G, without a single astronaut lost or injured.
Venus aside, the Soviets failed to land a functional rover or probe-lander on Mars, and their Lunukhod rovers generated little to no new information, unlike the American unmanned landers and orbiters.
And of course, the Apollo program and Hubble need no introduction from me.
@@jamesharding3459 You are trying to portray American space program as great but that isn't the case, I could tell you a whole lot, but I just want to tell you that the Soviets did it while-
Losing 27 million civilians and soldiers in WW2
Having 1/3 of their already developing industry destroyed
Their farmlands were destroyed so they spent a lot of money importing food from the USA
Also the USA was a developed country by the time the USSR was established
Stalin killed thousands and jailed millions of people who could be engineers, scientists or something else
Korolev, their chief designer was jailed for 6 years and died in 1966
Meanwhile the USA had developed industry, huge resources (10× the USSR's but it was their fault), so even if the Soviets did not land a man on the moon, it was still great that they were easily able to compete with a country 10× richer and better than theirs, and if Khruschev and poured a little bit more money in space programs rather than military, history would be changed. But still I appreciate what the USA did but. Also
@@jamesharding3459 Later space stations of the USSR were better and more efficient, their landing were capable of sending a lunar sample back on earth, hundreds of experiments were done in their space stations, even till today that issr was primarily built with their help, they also landed a tover on mars although with failures, but still landed and they sent back information. And also the buran programme and they also sent space telescopes in space.
Idk why but that first F-16 fits so well with the music. that gun sound rivals the A-10 as far as I'm concerned.
"America has no history":
We literally invented the airplane.
well not the traditional sense not the one which starts on the ground uses its wheels climbs flys around and lands that goes to brazil
@@samuelsnowdon2271we literally flew without a catapult first, and his design was literally just not as good. Still extremely impressive, but not as impressive as the wright brothers design.
Ik but when you think of an airplane you think about something a lot closer to what ive said now the wright brothers do have the novelty of doing it first but not nearly as impressive because it could only fly without a catpult on a windy day also a lot of novelties like landing gear were used on the one from brazil and not the wright brothers plane so much more impressive if you ask me@@natebox4550
Seen this n your Soviet one...amazing edits brother...subbed!
It honestly never became that bad tbf
also what editing software do u use and can u teach me how to edit?
I use Davinci Resolve, excellent software for free, I don't think I could teach you, but I highly recommend watching videos on it!
I just lament how everything in air forces is becoming multi-role supersonic strike aircraft. Only 3 countries have dedicated bomber fleets now. Dedicated interceptors are rare. Also, ideas like the Ekranoplan were basically murdered by apathy
Home sweet home!
Great editing, what software do you use
Davinci Resolve!
That feeling when you have two separate Ngad programs
