I met David once...years ago and he was one of the most gentle and humble souls you would ever want to meet. He also visited my church a few times and graced us with his gift.

She has simply become one of the finest singers in her day! Such pure control of that powerful voice. And I swear to you not, if she had sung this song Friday, the audience would have torn - I say torn, torn, TORN that place apart!! I’ve never seen so many beautiful, gorgeous and mature black women and men catch the vibe and give this woman such a standing ovation! I came to America to hear good blues and jazz. And Friday did it. Thank you Chicago!
