I have been saying for a while that to me, the Corsair feels like a real adventure ship.
It's got it's pros and cons sure but as a ship to live out of day to day it has the feel of somethng like Firefly or the Expanse.
And so I want to take a crew of 4 or so people and actually give this a go. Living off the ship - brining everything we need onboard and storing it in the ship wither physically, within the external storage or the ship inventory
and just seeing how long we can last while running various missions and getting into different situations.

@@Citizen_Kate I’m excited to see that! I was definitely hoping for more gameplay impact from the Cargo “Refactor” so I might be picking up the Vulture to do salvage as well.
Yea they got me into the Twich missions too but I missed the part about shutting down the com arrays so I'm sitting in Klesher right now lol
I'm honestly excited for the wipe cause I just found out I can run the current patch (I haven't been able too play in a while) so a wipe is gonna put me on the same field as my friends who have been playing for a while
Granted this is me assuming I can play the next patch without it murdering my pc
I bought one big reliable ship and then only play this game for fun, trying to discover every aspects of it and enjoy the scenery. This game should not be taken seriously until they confirm there will be no more wipe.
Kate I know I say this every episode lol, But the series is amazing so pumped you started it and I really hope you continue to push out these episodes honestly. Wonderful job you guys are doing for the community

Seeing the cargo crates that are usable and the ship storage bins being utilized is a really immersive aspect. Great series.
I like that during the renovation of the reclaimer, 9tails was thoughtful enough to put in a medical neon sign just like normal hospitals.

As always, great video! You are single handily demonstrating to the rest of the SC universe how well designed the Corsair is for a general purpose daily driver. I wouldn't be surprised if CIG is getting a bump in Corsair sales because of your videos. Great pacing and great story telling. As a Drake fan, especially a Dragonfly enthusiast, if you can only find a way to utilize a Dragonfly along with the Drake Corsair on one of your many missions... ;) Thanks to you and your dedicated crew for continuing this Corsair journey. I just love how much of 'home' you have made of the Corsair. That last mission is one of the best. It is basically a whole new FPS level and a very interesting 3D one at that. I have only done it once and I died before opening the crate.
All the Reclaimer based fps missions are great fun. Much more atmospheric than the standard bunker missions. Hoping for more missions like this when 3.18 drops.

Yeah saw a interesting idea that it would get redone with a second floor like the Phoenix. I could imagine that for the andromeda it would be more militarized with a armory and some type of command table or something.
I always forget it's civilian and not military and I feel the bunks are part of the reason

Seeing how efficiently they used the space on the Corsair makes me think they will revisit the Carrack's crew space. If you can make individual private cabins on a ship that small I can imagine converting that dorm room on the Carrack into something similar.
Love this series. That's exactly why I upgraded my Nomad Starter Pack (which was upgraded to Freelancer MAX) to the Corsair two weeks ago, even though I vowed never to put a cent into the game again. But this ship is just such a so much better Cutlass, a true jack-of-all-trades, and you guys and girls are living my dream of having fun with this type of ship. Thank you Kate & crew for arousing my lust for Star Citizen again after a almost one year break from the game!

Nice video love seeing the Corsair used in her glory. The Price of Freedom mission given by Twitch is available at all planetary systems after you complete the one in ArcCorp. You can do it every where after that first one. Fun to find the transport at Microtech lol.

The Twitch missions have always been my favorite, only ever done The Price of Freedom solo and it's so much cooler to see a full squad clearing it
I pledged to the Corsair instead of the Andromeda because of this series and I don't regret it in the slightest
i think i have been playing this game wrong. mostly because i never crew up but also i never do the mission giver mission and just run mindless Vaughn missions or BH missions , there are a lot of interesting quest lines and missions if you rep up with the factions i suppose. I tried to do the lawful version with the starfarer but died due to gravity kicking in at the wrong time and just gave up. there is so much advantage to crewing up with rezes and stuff.
I hope in the future you can have a small NPC crew that can follow you around like mass effect or KOTOR so you dont always have to find a human crew.

Corsair really lights up enemy ships.
There is a Price of Freedom mission in every planet system, once you unlock them. They are all Twitch missions.
These evidence make this look like a playable more complex Sim that is pulling my interest from my home in Elite.
I did the breach and steal mission on my own. Not realy high risk 😁

I got the ship a few days ago love it great ship hate it in the atmo but was able to fight a bounty ai in atmo after the ship came to the stop and they fly right by me and boom and the other time my friend med ship crashed after the ai messed him up but he saved it and landed on the ground I got that Corsair go so fast but love the game getting alot better
I have heard a rumor that the Corsairs atmo handling is a bit of a bug so it might improve in 3.18! not confirmed or anything but fingers crossed :)
@@Citizen_Kate I know right we need it to handle better than what we have but it's a new ship so we don't know what they might do
I feel like they tried to balance the immense firepower by making it slow but as per usual went overboard and will tweak it with time
@@Citizen_Kate it must be a bug because the Corsair has a huge wingspan and CIG once claimed that wings would make a great improvement in atmospheric flight.
Waiting on the wipe. Love your videos and kinda twitchy waiting to try out this game. Bought the Drake Cutter starter pack and been tooling around but nothing serious as of yet. I mean a wipe is coming so why stock up now? Long time Eve Online player and looking forward to the first person view. I like space MMO's and this might be the one I do for a while. But damn the wipe needs to hurry up. Cheers.
It's hard to earn enough meaningful money unless you're good at the game. So play, have fun, push boundaries, and practice to get good. That's all you will ever be able to do anyways as there will always be a wipe coming up until full release.
Nice one 👍but what Helmet is Cyren wearing ? His character is looking dope. Also that one NPC onboard the Reclaimer was very responsive. Hopefully after server meshing these missions will be a hard challenge for a group of players.
He likes to use the Morozov Redshift helmet - they can be bought at Cubby Blast in AAea 18 :) and yes i really hope we see AI more consistently responsive once we get server meshing! would be cool to have a real challenge when running PVE missions
these videos make me want to give up my day job and spend them in the verse , unrealistic i know but hey , we can dream right .. lol

Was not happy that they put in multiple floors for medical at what is basically a broken down unused location claimed by randoms. Somehow they seem to have created a multi level hospital in this location though. And since CIG has no idea how to make an elevator work, the place is now broken.
I had no idea there were so many cool outlaw missions in SC, I assumed you had to have CS to do those and I don't like half the server trying to kill me.

Wouldnt it be better to position the corsair a little higher relative to the entrance of the caterpillar to have a better angle when engaging before boarding?
whats that white translucent ring that shows up when you enter the mess hall? havent seen it on my corsair.
that is some kind of bug lol - I have noticed random hud icons appearing around the place lately - that was one of them jsut blown up to a pretty large scale :D

i wish one day it will be a sane thing to store anything of value on a ship. right now even a big reclaimer will get destroyed in seconds. using ships as bases quite a risky endevour.
Maybe someone was trying to frame Ruto by using their name. Or, maybe Ruto doesn’t even exist, and has always been a pseudonym for any anonymous unlawful mission giver. We only ever see the hologram, after all.
I've had the Breach and Steal mission pop up by CRU-L5. What comm array do I have to take down for that mission?
it depends on where the Reclaimer is located - if it is at CRU-L2 then you dont need to worry because there is no comm array nearby - but if it is at Crusader or one of its moons you need to shut down the nearest comm array (the one orbiting the planet or moon the reclaimer is near)
oooh wait - CRU-L5? that's a bit different - there isnt a comm array there so i guess you just have to hope it is far enough from the station to not be picked up! :D
How do you get that mission? I got good rep with twitch but never got the mission

i love put all my things in my ship but i have the fear to for some reason my ship explodes or someone destroys it (the latter has already happened to me) and lost

Should you be shooting the person whilst still in the cryo pod - says Fail each time?
Yeah it's a bonus objective - you are told to go revive 4 prisoners, but the bonus objective is to find out and kill the one of them that is an informant. the prisoner manifest gives you clues to which one it is so when you find them you kill them :) obviously when you kill them though you fail the objective to revive them
@@Citizen_Kate Ah ok - thanks for clarifying. I noticed on the last one it gave a list of objectives and that one was listed as fail. I've not played the game in a long time as I have a baby, so living vicariously through you guys!
This series is making me fall in love with the corsair though.
How those items persist in the ship? If you get a dc or something, or file a claim, you lost all of it. How do You make it so Yours do not disappear? ^.-
The game hasn't worked the way you describe in a long long time - if you have a server Crash or sometihng nowadays crash protection just puts your ship back at your last station, with all of the contents intact. Unless you are actually blown up you can very easily keep all the stuff inside for a long time
@@Citizen_Kate Yeah but that doesnt work for EU servers apparently. When your ship gets back to the last station, you cannot retrieve it, You can only claim it, and thus, by claiming it, you erease all your inventory inside. Thats why I asked the question, how is that possible You keep all your stuff there. I've been playing this game without my stuff on my ship, running naked all the time so I don't lose it :/
we play on EU servers, and have had several 30ks during this series - we get the ship back compeltely intact every time - retrieval not claim :) hope this helps
@@Citizen_Kate I never had an option to retrieve the ship, only the claim button. To be honest, I'm confused why its not working for me as it is for You.
@@samsung1702 when you're logging in after a 30k give the servers 15 minutes or so to save your ship state (I usually take this time to go off and get something to eat).
If you login too quickly after a 30k you will see a Claim instead of a Retrieve, log off from that ASOP terminal, wait a bit, then try a different terminal until the Retrieve shows up.
After a 30k you can Retrieve from any station not just the one the game says the ship is at, so even if your ship says "Microtech" or "Shubin xxx" you can go claim it at Lorville if you want to sell your cargo there for example.
saw it again, Objective Failed for not reviving the informant... must have been one of the game's many bugs at that time.

With the incoming wipe, there isn't much use for looting unless you intend to immediately use it.
