HYDERABAD, 4 December - In keeping with its image of a city in a hurry, Hyderabad has taken the first step toward setting up a financial district that will support the flurry of business activity in Andhra Pradesh.
The financial district, the foundation stone for which was laid by Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee Saturday, will be the first step toward Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s goal to make Hyderabad India’s second financial capital after Bombay. Vajpayee also laid the foundation stone for the headquarters of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) to be located in the financial district.

I went to MS, Hyd and sitting opposite to the building. I thought its just coincidental that ISB is near MS. I learnt today that they wanted MS near that ISB.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Maharashtra does have multiple cities where corporate n other industries has been setup not just one metro city of the state. Maharashtra has lot of different type of industries not just Corporate offices. Maharashtra alone contributes 1/4 of India's total tax. Stop talking crap about Maharashtra if you don't know stuff. Its leaders worked descently compared rest of the parts of the country even though it has much more potential which isn't getting achieved due to corrupt leaders etc but still worked better than all other states since the independence.

What happened to those states -- CBN maximized usage of IT for overall development of Hyderabad -- That is the major objective of any developmental agenda -- CBN actually took advantage of the IT start up and took it to next level -- BUT opportunity is same for all states -- But only Bangalore / Hyderbaad/ Pune / Gurgoan/ NOIDA took off .. Hyderabad had huge advantage for almost 23 years starting 1991 up until 2014! 1991 is when liberalisation happened. 1991-96 PVNR from TS was PM of India, 1996-2004 CBN played a crucial role in all the governments that formed. At one point Vajpayee even jokingly said to CBN if he has to move capital to Hyderabad. Post 2004 until 2014 AP contributed more than 30 seats in UPA that of congress's own 140-200 own MPs. All the projects completed(ORR, Int Airport, PVNR expressway, most SEZs, Genome Valley and what not) or institutions that were brought were leveraged to improve the pie in last 10 years by the BRS Govt. Thats more than 30 years of favourable environment post liberalisation. Now its a difficult phase!

This is the problem with educated people. They get the details just from media and they never get a chance to know the reality and they don’t see the state numbers what happened. CBN and team very strong in media so they projected CBN extreme but the reality is completely different. I work in Telangana secretariat and I know what is going on in both states, now and before.

In my knowledge Chandrababu Naidu was the pioneer man in making the Andhra Pradhesh into an icon to look at how Govt. Administration can be taken to IT way in India.
Mr Naidu may be corrupted or not and may have Benami Software companies in USA , but he is the main reason Hyd got developed and automatically Bangalore also got it, followed by Chennai , and later other part of south India and simultaneously even big real estate boom also happened.
It was Chandrababu Naidu who gave Hyderabad the IT spelling. And TRS thinks they did massive in IT. Foundation was given by Mr. Naidu.

When India did nuclear tests during Vajpayee tenue, that time there were sanctions from USA. Hyderabad was the only place where investments were not interupted. That was because of Chandrababu Naidu. When investments were going to Hyderabad another leader took inspiration from him ie SM Krishna who managed to get investments to Bengaluru. Politicians should raise above their party lines & get the things done. There has to be competition. Only then our Natione will rise.

Many people do no know but Naidu has done a lot for the development of Hyderabad and Andhra. He brought lots of investment and encouraged students to take up IT. Because of which the number of Telgu people in USA is considerably higher.
He was about to make another great city named "Amaravati" capital city of AP, but unfortunately people voted him out. Really hope he comes back to power and make Amaravati (well planned sustainable city) a reality.
We also hope he could comeback because that would mean in great innovation which will help in country's growth!

Naidu contribution to the development of Andrapradesh was phenomenal especially in development of IT sector. He almost sidelined Bengaluru in the race, world accepted his vision, whole India was watching with great anticipation that he will do something great but people of AP ditched him. That's politics...
