    I have several of these. He's right. These are phenomenal rods. Made to fight fish with little extras you will start noticing. And yes these are extremely light. 4oz no more than 4.6 I would say. I have 5 of these. Freakin awesome. Oh and btw that carbon wrap is like the prettiest stuff and rods I have ever seen in the sun 😂❤🎉

    I find myself reaching for my 7" M Teramar XX casting setup more and more. Their is just something about it. Honestly it's one of my least expensive rods but it has Just the right amount of balance, power and sensitivity.

    I will tell you that this is the best rod I have ever fished. They are light and handle fish very well. When I let may fishing buddies try this rod, they have all now purchased these XX rods an love them. I like John LoGelfo have many rods from various manufactures but these XX are in a class by themself.

    Ordered the TXESX70M yesterday. Going to pair it with a Vanford 3000 and 8lb SuperSlick Moonshine in 8lb. I have a feeling this will become my favorite combo.

    Great videos, subscribed and following with that notification bell going 👍. Question since you are the shimano ambassador. What's the difference btw the shimano PX and XX rods? I'm in swfl and want to get into big tarpon and snook fishing off the beach, inlets, bridges, passes, also docks and pilings. I Don't own a boat, so I'll be mostly shoreline or land fishing. Already got the 8k saragosa. Would love to hear about these rods to make a decision. I'm going 8ft. Whats your advise a XH or XXH to fight the fish out of pilings and structure. What test braid would should spool? I was thinking 50 lbs braid with 60 to 80 leader. Ill be using live bait mostly. Thanks in advance if you get a chance to ask my question. This would be the heavy duty for everything combo.

    No offense, but I wonder if Daiwa or Penn (or any other rod manufacturer) sponsored you-would you say they are the best ? I own over 50 rods from inshore to offshore and have rods made by Shimano, Daiwa, Lamiglas, Tsunami, GLoomis, Rogue and Penn and they all preform exactly for the application(s) that I bought them for. Same goes for my reels.

    • @BreakwaterN.C.
      @BreakwaterN.C. Год назад +3

      Well yeah....of course he would. But he literally prefaced the statement by saying "I'm a Shimano guy. So I'm gonna recommend Shimano" As he should, he's pro staff and probably has fished hundreds of hours with their lineup. He did the same when he was sponsored by Daiwa, Falcon, etc. Why would they recommend a million other rods when they know these inside and out and fish with them everyday? I've been watching Flats class for about 10 years, CA and the Flats Class crew might push certain brands, but go ahead and buy them and put them in your hand or tie them on and see if he's misleading you.

    • @Skolmann
      @Skolmann Год назад

      @@BreakwaterN.C. And if he had a Daiwa hat on, would he preface it by saying “I’m a Daiwa Guy” ?. My point being is he ‘pushing’ the rod solely because Shimano is a major sponsor of his ? I personally know plenty of ‘Pro-Staff” guys here in the northeast that behind scenes will tell me that such and such a product is equal to or better than then brand that sponsors them.

    What rod do you recommend for rockfish/lingcod fishing off a vessel. I'm throwing anywhere from 8oz-12oz. We get some strong undercurrents out here in monterey.

      4.3 ounces and rod feels well balanced. It feels very similar to the st.croix avid inshore exept the xx has a slightly softer action/moderate fast action, something that i actually prefer more, i have the xx fast action version
