Your video inspired me I ended up at an estate sale. I scored a DMC cabinet filled with Au Ver A Soie Soie D’Alger. It was $100 but about $800 crammed inside. There were 3 other DMC cabinets. But they wanted $300 for all 4 and that was more than I could spend. The others were not filled with silks they had mostly the thicker needlepoint yarns which I wouldn’t use so they were as much of a deal. Though I really wanted the cabinets.

Thanks for saving her you know hundreds of hours maybe to stitch her with lots of love stitched right in😊 yes I would pay 30. For her in a 💗 my ex threw mine in the trash with all my other stitches. He was an awful person!

I thrift so many frames! I have enough 8x10 and 9x5 for ten lifetimes, but still can’t pass up a round, oval or square frame! 😂 I’ve never found anything at a goodwill, Red Racks are the norm around here. 💰

I was so shocked to see the angel hanging on the wall, especially after seeing the fiber and floss gal talk about her project and the hygge sticher going to start her own.
I wish our local thrift stores had good craft sections. They have hardly anything for yarn and needlework stuff.

"Recreational Thrifting" - my new life goal! You have some great stores to hunt in. ALL THE FRAMES!! And some cute finished pieces, too....(FYI - the Santa is by Homespun Collectibles, not Prairie Schooler. I know this because I may or may not have that pattern.... :D ) You should do some skeleton cameos for that little oval side-by-side frame!

Love checking Goodwill for stitchy finds. I have found fabric and recently a window frame frame with 4 openings. Exactly what I have been looking for. Sometimes I find nothing but worth the look.
What a fun video! Thank you for sharing your thrifting adventure with us! That Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum angel is to die for. How could someone give that up? A note of concern: the black spots of "dirt" under the glass that you mentioned. There are certain invasive bugs that love picture frames--and textiles and paper--that leave dirt-like droppings. Silverfish. Bed bugs. A rental property manager once told me that when they have an apartment with a bed-bug infestation it's often the pictures on the walls that are the mostly badly infested. Something to check when thrifting picture frames. If it were my purchase I might remove the back and check the canvas, mat and frame crevices carefully. Silverfish are incredibly destructive of textiles and beasts to get rid of. Again...love your vids! Thank you for posting!
it's not black it almost looks like bread crumbs stuck to the fabric? it's hard to explain. I wondered if the fabric had gotten stained while it was still being worked on. I'll take it outside until I can look at it better tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up!

Love the thrifting video, can't wait to see more thrifting video's, not many people realize how thrifting can save so much on cross stitch supplies, most of my floss I stitch with came from yard sales and thrift stores, I am trying to build a complete DMC set and I am so close

This was such a fun video to watch, charity shops (thrift shops) in the UK have got SO expensive that you can buy the items cheaper brand new which is crazy. I buy many of my clothes and other stuff from charity shops but it’s getting harder to find good value items 💗
I get 99% of my frames at thrift stores. I love finding deals! 💰
I have had good luck finishing picture frames from Disney Parks at the thrift store. One even played music and was brand new! I also once scored about 75 skeins of Gentle Arts floss for about $15.

I’m terrible at social media. Enjoyed your floss tube so much I ran to a thrift store. For $20 found a hand across the sea sampling, a the blue flower, the Scarlet letter, probably 20 Teresa Kogut, Jardin Prive, carriage house sampler, cottage garden, hands on design, Quilty barn. I so wish I could go thrifting, but I need to downsize to make it easier to move next year after my husband builds our new home. I would love to see more thrifting videos. I just recently started thrifting for frames, because of you talking about it on FlossTube videos. For the Christmas tags to make into floss drops, head into WalMart or Target within a few days/a week after Christmas and get them for 50%-75% off.
