Power metal is great because when you turn up the intensity to 11, it simultaneously becomes a parody and a phenomenal example of the genre.

Uhuuuh I can't wait for another release by these guys. Tales from the Kingdom of Fife is a sweet album, but I can't get enough. I wish they release more, but I'm not gonna beg for it, rather have people take their time with projects for that final sound of epicness. Also, that sweet Armor Thomas is wearing (Lead singer). I want a set like that.

I hate power metal, this...I like this. I think it's kind of like Steel Panther, they just have so much fun with it that it's hard to hate it. It's not super serious but the musicianship is so good.
Actually, from a certain point of view, this is the only legit way one would write and play songs about dragons, fireballs, wizards, and all this fantasy stuff.
I mean if you try to construe the vocab of Rhapsody ("Seven wizards came from distant lands, to meet kings, dwarves, elves and draaaagon lords" I mean WHAT?! :D), Hammerfall (well, they first ever song on their first ever album starts with "We riiiiide!" so...) and similar bands, most of their songs are ridiculously simple and laughable in a sense (I'm a fan of both bands!). Gloryhammer elegantly dogdes this bullet by taking things from the other way around. And it works. And it's simply faboulus :D
